Hello tmf and your missis. All that rain I think it's for you guys to come back again. Great entertainment!! Cheers
You ain’t seen nothing yet!
Stunning scenery, awesome . Looks fantastic.
Many thanks!
The Moors were in Southern Spain for hundreds of years. It's not as if they were there for a couple of Saturdays before being displaced by a group of Chelsea fans! They left a deeply fascinating culture and many iconic historical relics across Andalucia. A quick visit to Córdoba would demonstrate this. I hope you get the chance to explore this soon.
Yes I’d love too!
Only there for about 800 years a mere blink of the eye 😉🤣😂
Cracking video Mr flyer! For the first time in a long time I’ve laughed out loud watching this! Thanks mate 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a truly interesting and great series...these touring videos & your presentation are great...love the channel but the tours are by far my favourite part ...more Mrs. Flyer too...thanks for all your work making these!!!
Glad you enjoyed it and really appreciate the kind words - thank you 🙏
Good morning Andy....... Fantastic to be back on tour with you guys and so soon after the epic Alaska trip 😀 BRILLIANT!!
Massive thanks as always to Mrs Flyer and your good self for having us along 🤗
I love these "tour series" as much as I do your bike reviews. So please keep up your excellent work 😉👍
All the best,
Russ
Thank you Russ - I’m delighted you enjoy the tours!
Being a big Spain fan i really look forward to your Spain trips, they really are the next best thing to actually doing the ride yourself.
Delighted to hear that Andy!
Terrific video TMF, as always. Mind you, most of Spain was ruled by the Moors for more than 700 years.
Its nice to see the GS adventure bike out on the roads, does anyone else miss seeing them over the winter time?? 🤣🤣🤣
Ohhh yes sir! Cheers! Marc, Quebec, Canada 🥶🌨
Overall good riding roads with good scenery and fine weather. Not a bad combination. Yes that mine was impressive.
Brilliant, love the dry humour Andy 👍. Totally recommend Seville for a long weekend btw, loads to see and plenty of proper old tapas bars.
Sounds good to me! Thanks for watching…
Lovely to see the warm sunshine whilst we’re in freezing January 👍 You though being a very naughty boy with all your talk of ‘pine trees’ 😆 lol 😂
Glad you enjoyed it…!
Another tour series to look forward to. Love all of your content and especially your tour videos Andy. The GS is simply the best all rounder, no doubt about it.
Leaning on an open door here with that one!
Most enjoyable!
Again this takes me back to riding through Spain on our Morocco trip. During the day we’d usually be riding in fairly small groups, but at the beginning and end of the day we’d often have re-grouped and might have a convoy of anything up to eighteen bikes. Getting that lot through rush hour city traffic without anyone getting left behind at traffic lights or roundabouts was no mean feat. An abiding memory for me is of our tour leader riding slowly at the head of the column of bikes, standing up on the pegs of his R1200GS, facing backwards to check his charges were all accounted for, with only occasional quick forward glances to ensure he wasn’t about to ride into the back of a car!
That was nearly 20 years ago - these days everyone would have a GPS so not such a problem I guess?
Looking forward to Portugal as that's a country I've never visited.
2 different tours in a short amount of time love them both.
Glad to hear that - thank you…
This is so refreshing at the end of a long dark dry January in Blighty 😂booked a trip on the strength of it. Loving the tours Mr and Mrs Flyer 👍
You’ll have a great time Mark - don’t forget to tell Lyndon and the guys you saw it here!!
HI Andy thanks for yet another blast of sunshine on the bikes very enjoyable on a cold damp day in January, 😊
My pleasure Steve - thanks for watching and stopping by!
Hello Nice views I think that you can travel by moto in Portugal and Spain all year. Now its cold and sunny. We are very close from England 2\3 hours by plan. You can pass an weekend in this season wthithout being expensive. Bests regards to all Manuel Evaristo from Portugal
Great weather Andy looks stunning !! Look forward to the next one 👍
Thanks 👍
Enjoying another tour Andy! Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks, will do!
Seville is just wonderful, you and Carol would love it, great food, architecture and history.
We’ll go and take a proper look sometime when we’re back….thanks for watching!
Thanks
Done two trips to the Pico's and North Portugal on my 07 GSA.
Once with a BMW arranged offroad tour in the Esteral mountains which BMW never run again unfortunately.
Then 2 weeks touring around Portugal I would recommend this part of Spain Portugal to everyone.
It's hard to say if this my favourite country as the Tour Du Grand Alps was unforgettable as well.
Corsica, Sardinia Slovenia Croatia Italy all stunning.
Happy 2023 touring
Yes we’re spoiled in Europe aren’t we Ian, so many amazing places to ride….
Great series Andy, looking forward to the next episode.
Glad you enjoyed it David!
…I love the smell of pinos in the morning.
Great video TMF, instantly brought back memories of driving from Vegas to LA seeing those solar collectors. The scenery is so similar as well. Would love to see you back in California, it would be an awesome video.
I’d love to be back there!!
Seville is a great town worth a visit. This a great trip.
Yes we’ve got to get there some day for a proper look!
Love your latest offering and actually lived in Carmona for five years whilst working for Airbus in Seville. You’ve brought back some very happy memories, miss the place so much!
Very cool!
Very nice ride. It was cool to see that mining operation. It takes a lot to get minerals we need to build things. I'm not a hot weather fan myself. Looks like it would be worth enduring to see the sites.
Brought back many memories of the fabulous riding to be found in Andalusia. Seville definitely worth a few days visit but probably best without trapesing around in motorbike gear. Look forward to seeing Évora again ( pronounced with emphasis on the E, by the way).
Gotta give it to Andy...Evóra does sound faster 😆
Another great video, well filmed totally enjoyed. Makes me want to go.
You should!
fab tour andy and carol love them thank you
Thank you for watching Allan!
Another beautiful ride and great video! Thanks👍
Glad you enjoyed it Walter!
What a beautiful place, very funny video really enjoyed. But what a fantastic place.
Glad you enjoyed it Tim!
What a brilliant area to ride in this time of year!
Definitely!
I might have to add riding in Spain + Portugal to my bucket list.
You should! It’s brill!
*Wet* cobbled streets are my personal favourite.
Throw in some tram tracks too.
Lovely.
Yes tram tracks - what fun!
What a great ride. At least We have something else to look forward to. thanks. 🙂
More to come!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Woo Hoo. 🙂
Thanks for another enjoyable video
Our pleasure!
Beautiful country side!
It really is!
Nice vid TMF. I could do with a bit of sun & a nice bike trip but alas I will have to content myself with watching yours for the time being but I can live with that. : )
Cheers as ever RR - wish I was there now!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I bet. Me too!
Interesting ride. Splendid scenery. When you make to back to Arizona USA check out the big copper mine in the southeast part of state near New Mexico border in community of Threeway and Morinci. When I inspected it the pit was 71 Sq. Miles big about a mile deep. Million yards/ tones per day. Quite a site. They have overlooks. AZ Rt 191/666 goes by it. Great motorcycle road up high. Cool. Take care. Liked the vid. Warm looks good right now.
Doesn’t it just! Thanks for watching and for the recommendation….next time!
Noticed you were mainly in 3/4th gears in those twistys around the penos area and plenty of nice sunshine. Roads look nice and smooth unlike the potholes we have in Blighty. I always enjoy your content and I am looking forward to the next one. 😂😂👍👍
Glad to hear that Mike! ….and yes 3rd gear seems about right for these types of road. Thanks for watching!
When I was 21, i went back packing with a mate and we ended up in the algarve, from there we hitch hiked up through Portugal through torrential rain, we used big pieces of cork bark as a solid umbrella
Cool!
Thanks Mr. Flyer. I really enjoy following your tours, it's rather dangerous though because it may convince me to try it lol. :>)
You should Peter!
Fun fact: Pinnace also used to be a collective designation for smaller ships, from small rowed tenders to merchant ships, made of pine. Apparently the choice of wood made working it much easier for the craftsmen. To my knowledge, pinnaces were originally made in Spain and contributed much to the success of the armada in exploration and trade, which is why they were all over the world back then. Wherever it was wet one might have expected to find a Spanish pinnace! A key asset to building the Spanish realm back then.
Cool!
Alright for some get to go travelling quite often
I have the book time off work in the summer for that
Lucky guy looks very nice hope you enjoy it
Keep the good work up tmf
Morning mate. No darned Fry Up this morning, but at least my favourite Vlogger is posting his excellent content to sooth my soul. All the talk of Ores n Peenie makes me think of Amsterdam.
I test rode the new zx10r. It feels slower than my zx9r. But was sweet handling and very light. You gotta try one, de restricted naturally ☺
Be a great bike to ride in Spain or Portugal!
16:27. What a great Hotel. That pool looks so inviting. Andy, I would like to request your next tour be on a BMW RT. You will spoil the Mrs. Unless its as hot as this one is.
Given my Mrs is used to touring on the back of a new GoldWing I don’t think an RT is going to win her over!!!
Had to watch episode 2 twice to warm up a bit as winter time is upon us at the moment. Enjoying the trip and the scenery. I noticed you smacking the fuel lid shut when closing it. I've been alerted that this will damage the locking mechanism. Lifting the tab and gently shutting it is advised. I do this when fueling my RS. That beer sure looked quenching as riding in temped conditions can really induce pool time pleasures. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
8.54 and 9.08 haha
Thanks for the laughs 😆👌
Thanks for watching Glen!
watched the whole thing amazing
Unlikely as it was only posted a minute ago and it’s 20 minutes long!
This video only been out for couple of minutes
Hahahaha......The Spanish Pines and Nuns in rubber!!
It sounds like TMF is preparing a forfansonly video.🙂🙃
Hi, great vid again. just wondering, have you done or are you thinking of doing the pyrenees where I now live. Lovely weather and mountain roads as well as great food and wine
Only by aeroplane, never by bike! (yet)
The Moors ruled parts of the Iberian close to 800 years, from 711-1492. Portugal broke away around 1282. Granada was the last part of Spain recon queried by Christians.
Oh thank goodness; the BMW GS Adventure bike needs more publicity.🤣
Nuns in rubber & love the smell of pinos 😂😂😂
It certainly isn't disappointing up to now.
Thank you Gary - glad you think that!
I do like the Moorish architecture and influence left behind in Spain and also Sicily (another place I can heartily recommend to tour by bike)...
Yes I’d love too - that and/or Sardinia….
I noted you talked about the gloves, something of a name brand raytor on bikerhead. Cannot seem to locate them. Any tips would be great. Seems cannot see your original comments to the video when opening the comments section on the ipad. Enjoy the trip.
Racer I think they were without checking....not sure they make them anymore.
U should have popped into Seville, nice centre and good coffee☕😁
Yes we definitely want to go back for a proper look around
Very funny Andy 😁 😂 video.
Thanks 😁
What a great ride, scenery looks amazing. Do you know if you used a lot more fuel as compared to the single riders?
Didn’t seem too - we all fuelled up at the same time by and large…
Cracking views again. Well jel on a wet day on Anglesey 🤣
I love Anglesey - was there 2 weekend ago…
Should have said. OK. I know you wouldn't have known 😉🤣
Nuns in Rubber, lovely smell of Pinus... 😀
Unusual to see a bidet you can wash your pine in that 🤣
-30 degrees in Winnipeg this morning fyi .
🥶
Andy, that was a cable-stayed bridge. Suspension bridges have main cables hanging in catenary from at least two towers with deck suspended from hangers a la Severn and Humber bridges. (At least they were when I left UK 50 years ago). The bright coloured water in the lake is probaby mining tailings or waste. Can't say I'm a fan of the toilet humour, a bit puerile imho.
Thanks for the info Richard - can I refer you to the small print at the start of the video?
@@TheMissendenFlyer yep you can. Will take your advice.
copper, gold and silver are the main targets for the mining in this area. Big Rio Tinto holdings
How did you ride in that rukka jacket in those temperatures, I'd pass out!
Case of having too!
@@TheMissendenFlyer well good on you for persevering through the heat 👍
Very cool area, great riding there. 😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻. Riding two up on gs would you recommend gs or gsa ?
Personally I’d go GS as I’m not a very big bloke - full tank on the GSA is going to make things a little too top heavy for me two up…
Aren't those mountains spoil heaps from the mines and not mined mountains?
That’s a good point - hadn’t thought of that!!
Mad GS Riders and Englishmen go out in the midday sun ;-)
Nuns in Rubber, was that about the tire making industry?
Not that I recall….
Have you got the link to the Racer summer gloves, Andy? Can’t spot it. Maybe it’s me. They look like just what I need.
Sadly not to hand (oops!) but if you follow the link to Bikerheadz in the description of the video below it you’ll find them…
'Nuns in rubber' - a short documentary on the correct use of Plastidip for embalming. : )
11:43 smell of what? Lol
Pines (pronounced Penis inSpansh)
What make are your new gloves?
Racer - check out Bikerheadz for details (link below!)….
How in the world did I miss episode 1? gotta go back. Cheers
Sort it out Rob!
Hot water is better at cooling you down because cold water is too cold for the body, so the body reacts by warming up to heat up the water. It doesn't feel as good while drinking, but warm water is the way to go for peak hydration.
How interesting! Thanks for that!!
Seville is beautiful, even better than Madrid in my opinion. You must go back one day.
I certainly intend too!
Another great series for us to enjoy TMF. Quick question - I’m lucky enough to be ordering a new 1250GSA in next coupe of weeks - BMW sat nav or something else? Not sure what you are using on that trip (and Alaska)
Yes it’s the BMW one (actually a Garmin unit) - highly recommend it as the integration with the bike is excellent
[ Like ] ...a lot. 😀
Many thanks
I thought I saw a video where they'd tried one of those Solar Concentrators somewhere in Spain and had to abandon it because it wouldn't work?
Perhaps this is the next evolution of it??
I dunno - maybe!
The moors as you called them were the Ummayad dynasty of rulers and they ruled Spain for almost 700 years, so they did not try and were beaten away.
Otherwise love your vlogs.
That's what I was going to say
Thank you for putting me straight! What do I know!!
38C is 100F 😀🏍
Thanks for that!
I've noticed that none of the modern digital cameras seem to do justice to 'views' and landscape, whereas the old SLR type cameras at least used to try.
Yes it’s the massively wide field of view that does it…
A bit too hot for me to drive a bike. 30°C is my max and I like to stay way below that.
The water that is in you is more important than the water that you have with you.
Brown and green beautiful scenery.
I buy my motorcycle gear at Louis. A big German company with one Dutch store and that is very near where I live.
I saw the enormous lignite mines in western Germany. A complete destruction of the landscape and villages.
I hate cobbles, you can’t brake hard on them because you probably will crash.
The cork trees belong to the oak family.
where did you get this word .Omberons from >>concerned veiwer
"Environs"
Spain; come for the culture and vistas, stay for the penis? heh (my inner 12 year old is amused). Looks like a very relaxing time. Great riding and drinks at the pool.
Andy I was wondering what, if any, ride share programs there are available in Europe. I'm just idly thinking about the scalability of touring on your own bike, ride sharing or doing the guided tours like this or your Alaska trip in terms of expense. Ride share programs in the States seems like a feast or famine proposition depending on the region.
I'm not sure I even know what a ride share program is??
@TheMissendenFlyer it's a program where you can rent bikes from local owners. I think there are two main companies that coordinate these services in the US; Twisted Road and Riders Share. Maybe something for you to look up if you find yourself in the States for a few days and fancy getting on a bike for an overnight trip. The area I'm in doesn't have a lot of participants, but it seems like the San Francisco area has a lot. It's an intriguing option.
What a great idea!
Great scenery and you’re giving us hope for good weather in the future. (And both 'Nuns in Rubber' and penis smelling in one video-you Brits have such a unique sense of humor. LOL literally.)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Question when Mrs Fly is on the back of the Bike does she ever Worry your going to (FALL ETC). P.S Your a good biker and good poilet
I don’t know, you’d have to ask her!!!! …and thanks!
Washing your feet is not the only thing you do with those 🤣
You will see more mines like that to meet the demand for electric cars. People do not like to think about that part.
Moorish time in Spain some 800 years according to goggle.
How can you go into another people’s country and then disrespect their music , which is based on their Culture, like that? Terrible music? Horses playing instruments? Or talk about “Christianity beating back the Muslims”?
Being an African American Male I am used to American white men acting as such. But, I must admit I was caught completely off guard hearing such comments from you.
Words are indeed powerful in that they can build up, or tear down.
Do better.
Be well.
Crikey! Can I refer you to my small print at the start of the video?? This stuff is only here for entertainment reasons, please don’t take it too seriously! My intent isn’t to cause offence…
Well the opening words I heard were 'pleasant background music'! Bit of a generalisation, 'American white men!
Pinus, Nuns in Rubber? Really. You are better than that Andy. Jeff Australia.
See the small print at the start of the video…
@@TheMissendenFlyer Fair enough. I didn't mean to offend. I am a tragic motorcyclist and love what you do. Perhaps Im a bit too old School. You should visit Australia. Some amazing riding here. Keep up the great content. Jeff.
LOL the moors ruled Spain for over 650yrs before the Spanish Inquisition.
