I remember back in the day(I'm totally dating myself) I would eat my cereal and read the funnys(comic in the Sunday newspaper) then get out my silly putty and transfer the comics to the silly putty... good memories... this is so so cool
Hi, I can't stop watching your diy's videos, I am learnig a lot of new techniques with you, I am becoming an addict of crafting, thank you so much for those wonderful tips and hacks you teach, God bless you.
I am always so amazed and impressed watching your transfers and DIY projects; I kept saying to myself, "She's a freakin genius!" I love this follow up; thank you for your thoughtful comments throughout the video, understandable instructions and visual process with great camera angles. You always inspire me! Now I'm off to the Goodwill for some sewing patterns!! 😅😅
I watched your first video doing this and then showed my craft mad 8 yr old step daughter and she spent hours doing it. She then went home and spent the whole next day doing it with her older sister. Thank you for a great video
New subscriber from the U.K.! I found you by accident and I’m SO glad I did! I can’t afford a Cricut machine, so this will allow me to do transfers at last. I’m over the moon!
Thank you for, yet, another, excellent, instructive video. Your voice overs are absolutely perfect!! You gave detailed instructions. I Appreciate all you do!
I really like your channel. We think exactly the same way. Keeping everything, repurposing, coming up with cool ways to reuse stuff. Thanks for all the great ideas and tips!
This is great stuff! Your videos are always so spot on. You are great, great, great at crafting AND teaching! Thank you for all the information, the easy-to-follow directions & great video recording, from a devoted fan.
I was shopping in a second hand store last year and found some really old paper patterns from the 60 or 70’s I was so excited to find them I might have to try this! Thank you for the fun ideas!
This video was awesome n so helpful cause sometimes you see images n pictures you like in magazines n books etc n you like them but don't always know what youd do with them if you cut them out but i like this because it preserves them pretty nice n you can store them away once they dry n decide what to do with them later. Because of this i think ill make pretty much a scrap book after all. Thank you so much for doing this.
❤❤❤❤My heart screamed...ive been Making B&V and few others from the gang comic cards and magnets. Im hopefully going to aquire a button making machine next! I love those comics as well, the smaller ones you find at the check out lanes have amazing graphics compared to the older comics. Love this and ty for posting ❤❤❤
Hi Diedre, been following you for the past few months & I’m subscribed. Was wondering if you have any tips for painting lampshades? Mine have yellowed & cleaning no longer works.
Brilliant - love this thanks for sharing, I’m a subscriber because I really enjoy your videos, you’re straight to the point & teach easy replicable crafts 👍
You and your ideas are amazing. Love watching all of them. I have a question. I've recently been laminating a lot of small cards. I am left with the laminated areas with no card in them, they're just see-through (ish). Most of them are 1" to 11/2" square, but many are thin strips. Any ideas on how I could use these. I really don't want to just throw them out. If you have any tips, I'd appreciate it.
While watching your video I came up with an awesome hack. Take a picture of a border that you really like. And do the transfer onto the packing tape and put it around the border of a mirror or even a window
❤you are amazing. But I have a question. When I tried after your 1st video each and every time I tried applying the tape the napkin or whatever I was transferring would lift up to tape and cause a lot of wrinkles any suggestions on why this was happening and if so what could I do to improve tape going where I want it to. Thank you so much in advance
Hi! Im going to try this tip and have the same thourght…. My plan is to tape (as litlle as possible) the edges with regular tape to keep the napkin Down to the surfice….maybe one could also place something heavie on top of the extra napkin??
I love your videos about transferring images a lot. I don't always have to draw it myself! As an avid watcher of Antiques Roadshow from PBS, I wonder how many comics collectors died a little when you so unapologetically cut into the comic book. 🤒 Some 50 cents at the thrift store comics are worth hundreds. 😊🤗 I for one, don't care. 👍
Hi ,i have Q about transfers with a laser printer ,i just got one and do you use the prints right after you print them or can i leave them for a while to use later and does it still work ? Thanks love your channel .
DiD you know that you can foil the laser printed items. Hubby printed out an A4 piece of black card at work and when he came home I die cut a fairy from then foiled. Worked brilliant bug it will only work on laser printed paper/card not the normal ink cartridge. Have fun X X

Would 800-grit sandpaper be gentle enough for “mattifying” the transfer?
I remember back in the day(I'm totally dating myself) I would eat my cereal and read the funnys(comic in the Sunday newspaper) then get out my silly putty and transfer the comics to the silly putty... good memories... this is so so cool
We did that also- it was a no mess way to print our own scenes and we really enjoyed it.
Me too! Great memories
Me too! I loved doing that!
And stretch the images
Thank you! I love the tape transfer method, but really prefer a non-shiny finish, so I appreciate you showing us how to remedy that!!!
Glad it was helpful!

Luv the bread clip on tape idea too👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻I imagine steal wool will achieve that dull look too❤️
Yes it will probably work ok too!
You are a remarkable crafter! 👍👍👍
Thanks!! Here is part 2 th-cam.com/video/W94cwv4jOvM/w-d-xo.html
How does the packing tape transfer attach to whatever you want it to? Do you use mod podge ?
The packing tape will still have all its adhesive, even after being wet. You don't have to use another medium to make it stick.
If the transfer has alot of ink on it the stickiness will be gone so will have to use another glue
this video will help you th-cam.com/video/4uYe1SXRDE4/w-d-xo.html
Great ideas. Thank you for sharing ❤

Hi Diedre, been following you for the past few months & I’m subscribed. Was wondering if you have any tips for painting lampshades? Mine have yellowed & cleaning no longer works.
I dont usually paint lampshades but love to decoupage them : th-cam.com/video/0zdp_PpQgAQ/w-d-xo.html
Just use paint and PAINT them. Not hard. Paint them. Chalk paint works great.
Awesome!

Would it work the same with clear contact/contact adhesive for bigger images?

Hi Deidre...what's the best and easiest method to transfer graphics to a mat in a frame? Thanks from New Brunswick 🇨🇦
There are so many different ways that you can transfer. You just have to pick which one you like the best an experiment.
Always great tips! Tysm
Love this ❤

Sounds like you have very dry air with static not sure how to fix that
Hi! Im going to try this tip and have the same thourght…. My plan is to tape (as litlle as possible) the edges with regular tape to keep the napkin Down to the surfice….maybe one could also place something heavie on top of the extra napkin??
Can you place these transfers on fabrics
You could but it would not be permanent it would just be for Decor and you would have to glue it on
What would you use so it sticks on glass or mirror?
You can use mod podge or glue stick
Is there a way to use the Xyron machine to make transfers? It makes labels, but I'd like to use it for transfers.
I don’t have one of those types of machines so I am unsure thanks for watching

sprytne!
Is there any way this transfer hack could be used on clothing?
No unfortunately
