Y'all, this will 🤯 blow your minds! If you're trying to get sticker or glue residue off of glass/plastic/anything... use oil!! Vegetable oil, olive oil, whatever. It works great! Just coat the sticky area with the oil and wipe it off with a dry cloth or paper towel (microfiber towels have worked best for me), if the sticky is still stubbornly stuck, put oil on and let it sit for a bit before you try to wipe it off.
I have had success using Goo Gone adhesive remover (found small bottle at Dollar Tree) and have also used Goof Off (got it in a spray can from a hardware store). Thanks for the bottle decor ideas!
Thank you for all your tip for the jars. I could do that too. I know you could do that. I took them off before it open water, but they were hard. Thank you for all the tips. I could be better. Do it better I can go back and do some of my jars thank you.
I soak my bottles too. I've even put them in the dishwasher before. Only, the label will come off & sometimes stick to other things. Giggles. Now I usually soak them, remove labels, then Windex. Also; I saw another person use one of those mini steamer irons and parchment or wax paper, then put it in the jar & it removed them well for her. Another person used the heat gun like you did.
Hi Deidre'! 🎉 I've had a very similar take on your windchime since last summer. It's one of those things that I plan to 'get-a-roun-to-it'. Ya know? The only real difference is, instead of using jar lids, I thought I'd use some candle jar lids. That gin bottle is so beautiful. I love the color! Olive oil to remove adhesive??? I shall try it. I use an SOS pad very often to remove leftover adhesive. I always look forward to your next video!! 😊
I’ve been thinking of making a wind chime using frozen juice can lids . Thanks for the inspiration.
i use old canning jar seals
I love your tin can crafts and the one you just did was one of my favorites with the wind chime thanks

Peanut butter works really well to remove sticky residue. I've used that many times.
I wonder if nail polish remover will take the paint off the blue bottle ❤
Nail polish remover will also work but oil does work the best😊

Try some lemon juice on the glue. Also skin so soft bath oil by Avon. Iv had good luck with both
I just use Dawn to soak, then a scrubbing sponge.
Why not use Goo-Gone adhesive remover?
It’s just wd40 with a different name so you pay more. Same with graffiti remover
@@chan4754wow, really?
I've had good luck with orange oil, too! If that doesn't work, I break out the heavy chemicals. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
He should thank his lucky stars that her family did not find him. 💜💜💜
I haven't hit that part in the video I guess, what are we referring to here? Should I skip ahead? Lol
Peanut butter rubbed on sticky and left overnight
Baking soda and a wet plastic scrubby

My Mom swears by peanut butter. It works well for us
I use Goo gone to get the sticky stuff off like when you got the label off with your heat gun it works really well
I like using a product called Goo-Gone. It doesn't smell, it's not too oily, and I don't need to use a mask or gloves with it.
