Redd was my neighbor on Eastern and Russell in Las Vegas and Giuseppe's pizza was across from us both. He would always refuse to let me buy it and would pay for it. He lived in a modest ranch house with a swimming pool behind it. He had great small parties. I miss my friend.
Red Fox is not an easy man to interview but Johnny makes it look so easy because he’s such a pro. God do I miss the likes of Johnny Carson and Red Fox what a great era we had
I love Redd. He was such a natural comic and a pretty cool guy. I’d love to see the clip of Redd on the Tonight Show where he brings on his Saint Bernard dog. It’s a rare clip but funny. Right around 1972.
I loved Foxx **before** I knew he had G-rated jokes! I loved his raunchy stuff. 😁 I miss Carson nightly 🌙 . And I was a kid, eavesdropping past my bedtime, at least for the monolog. Genius happened on that stage.💯 I love this clip. Thx for posting it! Really different POV on Foxx. And still 🤣
That Nevada plate brings back a memory. After Redd died his daughter came to me so I could get her titles on her fathers vehicles. The women he had been with wouldn't give them to her so I took care of that for her. This was in Vegas.
That's sad. But that was a great deed you did. I used to read the old Jet magazines and they used to be a real tight family before Redd and her mother split after 20 years. They must have rekindled because she was in a late episode of Sanford and Son
@@PC4USE1I thought that was Paul Williams. Coincidentally, I was just reading about him for the first time last night, although I have loved his music since I was a kid in the 70s, but not knowing who wrote it.
Fred G Sanford and the G stand's for great! I used to watch that show all the time when I was a kid , same as All in the Family and The Jeffersons....👍
I was introduced to his comedy from my father in 1995.. from an album,, i watched sanford and son on re-reuns 2005 and 2016...on tv land.... i really enjoyed the show..

One of the things that I do not miss from back in the older days I mean I was born in the 60s but when I was growing up in the 70s and early 80s cigarette smoke was so much more prevalent. on almost every TV show even like Johnny Carson‘s tonight show you see everybody with cancer sticks I mean everybody smoked.I remember in my own family my stepmother my father my brother and both of my sisters smoked the only thing I smoke is weed
That’s when cigarettes were cool….it like complemented their style at the time, Seeing a well dress person light a cig is way different then a person who is stressed and struggling
Love redfox I remember Sanford and son my dad loved that show especially the one lady who played the aunt him grabbing his chest I'm coming I'll meet you in heaven
I watched a Herschel Walker stump speech a few days ago. It was amazing. The end was a terrific joke which these folks would have appreciated. There were two old guys who loved baseball and when one was dying the other said please come back and tell me if there is baseball in heaven. Sometime later a cloud came towards the surviving fellow and he went up to the cloud and said so is there baseball in heaven. The cloud said said good news and bad news...there is and you are at bat tomorrow.
@@jpc2470 gaffes didn't matter for Biden. As for the accusations about abortions there's been no evidence that they are credible. I just don't like how my tax $ is being spent so frivolously.
@@jpc2470 The clips you see from Walker's wife were from a show where they talked about him getting the help he needed to be a better person. Warnock attempted to run his wife over with a car. cool story! He's my all-time favorite comedian, still watch em every night
I miss him being around, too. So many great folks lost to us. But they're all found Upstairs.
Did he have that dune buggy?
You must of had some great conversations with him , that's awesome!

Even 50 years later, Sanford and Son (and Redd!) is still fresh and funny.

Totally agree , sometimes I DVR it and still laugh my ass off!

My favorite comedian of all time!!!!! ❤️
Awesome taste. He was a character.
I think that's an old ford model t around 1914-1918 ish that he got restored and lowered to the ground
Sanford & Son has always been one of my favorites thanks to an early introduction from my dad. 13 years later at ages 24 and 68, we still crack up
Really nice interview, liked it a lot, even made me chuckle at times.
Love Redd Foxx, thanks for the upload! I know he used to appear on Johnny Carson all the time. Please upload more of his interviews!

Red Fox was the best! He was a great actor! He is missed.
I’ve never seen this footage, thanks for posting.
Coincidentally I’m watching Sanford and Son, “The Older Woman” episode right now on TVONE.
This is the most SEVENTIES thing ever...and I love every last bit of it.
