I don’t think that they plan on using it they just have to have it.
You guus need ProFab to set up some sort of removable top and sides for Leroy that can easily mount to the cage abd latch on and still be completely removable for racing. Kind of like pick up truck bed clamps are removable. Someone could design some clamps to mount on the cage and then the roof and "door" panels latch to the mounts and can be on and off relatively quickly.

I hook up thousands of uhaul trailers a year, and I’ve only had 2 ever with bad lights. 99% of the time, the customer has a blown fuse.
That trailer is getting the best aerodynamics possible with Leroy SMASHING through the air in front of it.

@Swampy I had one of those cheap air horns that you could get almost anywhere from fifteen to twenty years ago under the hood of my car. The small air pump 'compressor' part, was made of aluminum and after about a couple of years the pump quit working because of oxidation.

You should make a snap cover Leroy (like a truck tonneau cover) so when on your driving and it hot or raining your covered. Then when at the track you can unsnap it.

Got 2 ideas for your ride..a crazy one and a practical one.
Crazy one: Put an airhorn on your blowoff valves and steer the valves with the bald eagle button.
Practical one: Build some snap on sheet metal for roof and side panels as rain protection with your round frame should this an easy task.

You should get a snap-on soft top for Leroy for the trip. Have a boat cover place make it for you. You could have doors and windows made with it as well. Keep the cockpit fully waterproof and enclosed.

@Furn333 nope nothing .last inspection here was 93 . We drive racecars in the road all the time no problems. The biggest problem we have is how hot in gets in the car .two weeks ago went testing went 7.14 in the 1/4 at 198 mph came back drove the car 30 miles there and back to a car show got pulled over by the sheriff's. All they wanted was to check the cars out there was 7 full on race cars no problem.
I understand the event has their required equipment, but since when do you need a state inspection for every state you drive through?
What part of NY? Only if the filter sets off a check engine light or something would it fail. I have never had any issue in upstate NY with any of my slightly modified cars

Just remember, 4/5 point racing harnesses are dangerous on the street if you don't have a hans device. If you still have regular belts in Leroy make sure you use them while driving on the street.
untrue. running a harness with just a harness bar can be risky in some cars but if the car has a full cage, itll be no problem at all. harnesses work best in conjunction with roof reinforcement. child seats dont have this issue because theyre way smaller and an adult and a roll over most likely wont affect them inside a car seat the way it would if an adult were strapped in a 5 point, sans cage.
if 5 point harnesses were actually dangerous, infants and toddlers wouldnt be strapped in using them.
@@OxBlitzkriegxO It's not the cage that's the problem, its that you're neck/head is not supported while your torso is strapped in tight. If you get in an accident it's going to fling your head around while your torso stays still. You don't want that to happen, trust me. I've had 3 c-spine fusions because my neck is screwed, it's not fun.
Cleetus, 4x8 is 850 pounds empty, worked for uhaul for 4 years edit: unless it's one of the new honeycomb composite ones then it's like 500. You can try to request one of the new ones if you want when you pick up in CO.

Some uhauls are shit, most of the centers are ok, "neighborhood dealer" bad. But it'll be completely up to what trailers came into the area since they'll put you in a one way. Definitely get a reservation in out there early.

I believe in them! Being goofy and getting up to a bunch of shenanigans doesnt mean they aren't smart, I think it's just genius in disguise! The smartest people in history are eccentric and goofy and yet have changed the world! I'd love to see what they could come up with....

That's because 91 is equal to 93 due to the altitude difference. You rarely find anything over 91 if in an area over 2700ft above sea level.

I have no issues getting 93 here in Colorado..Grandparents bought 5 acres here in Vail in 1957.I moved here on Golden Peak along with my small Exotic car dealership since 2006 and have 3 rental properties and a warehouse for my cars off Bijou in Colorado Springs..Tell me the "bad things" lol 44 man..I simply dont use 91
man...I really love that gear whine. Had a car with "solid" motor and trans mounts and the gear whine was fantastic...sounded like a ball bearing in a blender at times...but man did it make you feel like you were in a racecar on your daily drives.
You may want to mount that horn facing downward so rain doesn't destroy it. Leroy is going to be loud on the highway with wind noise so ear plugs would be in order. Rock on.
