Happy Golen Engine customer right here 🖐️
Good to see you Nick!! Hope all is well. Chad
These are the type of videos I’ve been waiting to see from Golen!
Got a lot more coming very soon, good LS tech videos for guys building them at home!! Thanks for checking them out
They build great engines
Thanks Dave!! Keep us posted on your build, can’t wait to see it finished
Do not worry, you will be part of the start up, and I am hopeful that will be soon!!!
Golen Engine built my Twin Turbo Dart Aluminum 427 pushing my motor to 1600+
@@mr.c5217 hope your enjoying it!!!
@@golenengineservice One day soon!
Hey Chad!
Great video, you should do one of these for the 4.6 stroker.
Jeep videos are coming in December, lot of good info and some off-roading!! Stay tuned
Thank you for my 515hp n/a l83
Glad you’re enjoying it!!!
It sure isn't a budget build by no means us poor folks can't afford it
hi, do you think the dart iron block is substantially stronger than the hi.po. chevy iron block? if yes, what are the major differences?
You’re going to get sued for using the word ‘monster’, my ex-wife has a good lawyer. 😂
Love you guys 🙏👍🤙🐼😎🤙🤟🤟🤟
Thank you buddy.
Any good results using the Dart 225 or larger cathedral port heads in a stroker application?
I have used the Dart cathedral port heads to make some healthy hp on boost. Main thing is the charger moving enough cfm into the engine to make the power. I’ve made 900 hp on stock GM # 317 heads with larger valves and light porting , your Dart head flows much better!!!
@@golenengineservice what about in an NA only stroker 403"-440" (4.005"-4.185" bore)
@@MichaelScudder72 you can make 550hp plus with the right cam and intake combo. Main thing is to not go too big on the cam size , BTR LS1 stage 3 works well on the street and will get you in this range with ease.
@@golenengineservice I've been hanging on to an EPS cathedral port stroker cam(244°/256° .629"/.624"). Was wondering if Dart heads with 2.055"/1.60" valves would be a good option on a 4.005"-4.030" bore stroker. A lot of people bash Dart LS heads
They’re not the best head out there but they will get the job done for sure. That is a really big cam for that size head, I’ve seen much better results with smaller cams for street engines
That's great but you're talking about only a thousand horsepower and that can be done all day reliably with a junkyard motor. So that's wasted money unless you plan on going 2000 horsepower plus down the road. Why were the average guy was money on that block for only a thousand horsepower? Just simply asking a question.....
Understandable if this engine is not in most people’s budget, but for the guys that have the cash and want reliability, this is the way to go
You dont need a dart block
Only guys that don't want to make more power say that.
@@mr.c5217 im over 1100hp on junk yard 5.3 the oiling isnt as good as a dart but replacements are cheap
6.0 Gen 4. Iron block with stock Gen 4 rods and pistons.
Ebay turbo. Gapped rings.
There you go saved you $37,456 and you still have a 1000hp capable LS.......🙄.
1,000 capable but how long until you window the block. Using superior parts allow 1,000 stress free reliable HP
Wow! I subscribed, then saw nearly all your videos are under 40 seconds! What's the point!?
AND anyone can build a 1000 horse LS, for under 3000.00 with a turbo! 5k+ for that block!? I don't think so. No point in going with an aftermarket block, unless you're going to be over 1500 horse and even then stock blocks are fine. They've made over 2000 horse on stock 5.3 aluminum blocks! LOL
Yeah anyone can do what you said
But don't have people rebuilding their engines every season 😅😂
Do it once and do it right
And you made 2000hp with a 5.3 block? Or your friends cousins father did? 😅😂
@@KingJT80 There is plenty of evidence of it. People have even made close to that with a 4.8. Do your research, before you open your ignorant mouth. Look up Nigel NTST went 4.19 with a 5.3. Look up Richard Holdener Big Bang 6.0
@@KingJT80 I'll be that guy. How many miles do you expect out your "aftermarket parts" LS block/heads around the 1000-1500whp level before it needs to be taken apart and maintenanced? We are not talking about 100k mile engines. You light the candle, hope it burns brightly before it's done.
@@kylemilligan752 why start with a junkyard parts if you're gonna try to make that much power? That makes no sense.
You'll lift a head or worse
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. A 600hp 408 LS stroker is way more reliable at that point
This guy is a joke you'll need this block and shit to make 2k HP but 1k not needed it's been proven 30k ring gap and and ebay turbo and a good waste gate full send
Are you able to make a 1,000hp with out this formula? Yes. But as a business owner, would you put your reputation on a junk yard build or use top quality parts for years of abuse
The point he's trying to make, is it's not difficult to make over 1000 hp at all. There's no "secrets" to it. Biggest problem comes from factory heads lifting and flexing. I've been at 1227 hp for like 3 years on factory block with athena type fire ring gaskets and never had issues.
How long will it last?
Chad is the real deal. He builds in confidence. He and Paul cannot be compared. And he gets things done, no bullshit. 4 head bolts is for grenades. His motors run forever.
