- I wanted to talk this through and see if I was certain on my plans for this summer's trip. Yeah, I think it's pretty certain where I would like to go.

There are tons of us Disney Adults. My hubby and I had very little vacation time and were guaranteed a good time in Disney so we always went.
Selfishly as a Ducks fan I’m glad you’re picking Disney.
Disneyland..where a family I knew from cat rescue work..went almost daily at one point. The woman’s husband had had early onset Alzheimer’s..diagnosed in his late 40’s. After his passing..Lynn and her young adult daughters and teenage son ..I thought of their visits there as a lot of release from some very difficult years. 💕🦋🗾🌿

If you're looking for something different that is driving distance I would recommend the Oregon coast. Sand dune buggy ride in Florence Oregon is a blast! You could even do it on the way to Disneyland if driving but is kind of out of the way off the I5 on Highway 101.

Really think you should make a boston trip happen, go see a bruins game and check out fenway park. I think switching up your vacation destination is always a good idea

My wife burned all her PTO on a trip without me so maybe I'll get to go on my own vacation for a meet up. Vegas is closer but I have family in CA.

@THG - save that time and $, bite the bullet and make a longer term plan for a trip to Boston and a game at TD Garden. Finally got to that bucket list item last year. Love that city, the hockey community there is the best, Seafood and Italian to die for, the history and its all easy walking distance or an Orange Line away from North to South end. The Bruins game was pure joy and planned it when the Celtics played the following night. Worth it
You want us to skip our summer holiday without kids and instead do a hockey trip (work) in the middle of the season which is also in the middle of the school year?

Didn't mean ditch the kids in my comment; just for me growing up, getting a rare opportunity here and there to break the monotony of the school year (and even now taking some time off during high stress work seasons) for family time somewhere new and exciting was usually a treat, Boston aside. Spring break and other school holidays made that possible sometimes, but to your point that could be way too much to coordinate depending on family/situation. Hope you all enjoy wherever you decide to go though :)
Big news I hear about 4 Nations is how Czechia is not in it. Every time I hear the term Four Nations I think of an event for Indigenous people.
When I was in high school, I had the poo-poo on Disney mindset. Then I went to Disneyworld and loved it. I’m not a fan of their prices, but I do want to check out their Star Wars stuff
Disneyland is great but I miss the old People Mover... it was so relaxing and a nice way to cool off when it went into buildings.
Ever consider hitting Knott's Berry Farm? It is about 9 miles from Disneyland and there's a bus that goes between both parks. I visited with my high school band back in 1980 and had a great time!
Shannon, have you tried the prescription Scopolamine? You wear it behind you ear and it eliminates most motion sickness.

Do you guys ever think about Universal, I would imagine you’re a Nintendo land guy. I’m from the east coast so I’m not familiar with Disneyland & Universal Hollywood locations (how close they are to one another). When we go to Florida we go to both Disney World & Universal Orlando.

ive been playing fallout 4 a bit. i live next to a tourist destination .the last thing i would want to do is surround myself with more of them . although i would like to see the grand canyon and hoover dam . i like the sneaking in the back videos . yea dont do that .

I just came back from Tokyo and while Disney sea itself is great, the Tokyo parks aren’t as good as the Anaheim parks as a whole IMO. Having longer hours, park hopper, walkable hotels, rides that don’t close early, and better rides for adults make me prefer Anaheim
Walt Disney World has become ridicously expensive.
Its sad that you have to PAY for fast passes now.
Plus Florida is HUMID AF.
What about San Diego? Its a fantastic city.
