He was lying. Anything that wasn’t pertinent to the trial could be objected to and the judge would have sustained the objection.
The point is that he stated that “nothing happened with Stormy Daniels” so the prosecution had a right to question him about that (and his other lies related to the case).

_'joyful'_ to watch the Constitution be trampled ...you and your ilk don't deserve the gift the Founders bestowed You are a very sick creature.
CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig : “‘No man is above the law.’ [is] meaningless pablum if we unquestioningly tolerate *(or worse, celebrate)* deviations from ordinary process and principle to get there. "Here, prosecutors got their man, _for now at least_ - but they also contorted the law in an unprecedented manner in their quest to snare their prey.” Honig, continued , criticizing Bragg, who he calls a friend and former colleague, for campaigning on going after Trump, for misleading the public about whether the case was “commonplace” or not, and for hiding the ball on the underlying felony crime used to resurrect expired misdemeanors.
“In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else,” wrote Honig. “The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the ‘Zombie Case’ because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator.”
      Honig adds:
Just because the jury arrived at a verdict ..."doesn't mean that every structural infirmity around the Manhattan district attorney’s case evaporated... *this case was an ill-conceived, unjustified mess...a strained, convoluted reach”*

@@courtney-rw8ch I also agree with this.
This is a common problem in news these days, one of several, where a name gets slapped on some event that's catchy but unintentionally misleading. People who don't read the articles in detail or only hear it in passing on news will misunderstand what exactly is going on and fill in the gaps about what they think it is based on the catchy title. Its basically first catchy name sticks and no mater how much they talk about the details or point out the actual important bits, which they often don't do to well, people still get confused. And if you try to rename it after people will get confused and think its some different event...
I agree, but there isn't always an easy fix to this problem other then hammering at every opportunity what the actual important details are despite the title it gets.

If these criminals were to do to a family member, friend , or loved one of yours, what they're doing to Trump - you'd be screaming bloody murder
