I just don't think you can compare today's shooting stats to anything pre-2017 anymore and draw a solid conclusion about a current player's quality. The game is so different. Let's start comparing players to the ones they're playing against. So Tatum is the current clutch #1, full stop, no inferences about the 1990s.
@@dannybiggs9736 Lol there's nothing to give up. I don't have a rooting interest. That's just my opinion from what I observe. For the record, for all the uptight folk,. Jokic is having an historic shooting season (63% from the field, 40% from 3, 83% from the line). We might use 50/40/90 a holy grail for shooting efficiency, but 60/40/80 has never happened before - Also, forget about the Triple-Doubles for a moment... Jokic has 9 more Double-Doubles than Giannis (which I found surprising considering that's Giannis's strength) It should also be mentioned that while this 15-game win streak by the Bucks is awesome, only 2 of those games were against a Top-10 team (by record) in the league... and one of those was Brooklyn, who didn't have Kyrie or KD anymore (and somehow still have the 9th best record in the league, but are falling fast having lost 4 in a row) and the other they needed overtime to beat Boston, who didn't play Tatum, Brown, Smart, and Horford that game. My long-winded point is: Giannis has been incredible, but Jokic has simply been better pretty much across the board and has meant more to the success of his team. The Bucks are still a good team when Giannis doesn't play, the Nuggets are awful when Jokic doesn't play, so the fact Denver is in 1st place because of what Jokic has done this season is pretty much the definition of "most" valuable. I mean... 24-0 when he has a Triple-Double! That's absurd and doesn't even seem real.

Bucks fan. Not worried at all about the KD Suns. KD is the only defender long enough to stop Middleton from getting whatever he wants from 10-12 feet, except, KD is going to have to be defending Giannis , every minute he's on the floor. Yikes. I love it.
@@David-iv6je because none of the guards on the roster are big enough to even dream of defending him. KD is literally the only body capable of sticking in front of Giannis. Otherwise Giannis will average 45-60 ppg
@@razkable lol, NO HE CANNOT. So you've got ayton guarding Giannis, which means there is zero rim protection once Giannis inevitably blows by him on the perimeter, cool so Giannis is gonna average 42, because when Giannis wants to take plays off, just throw the ball into the post where stick figure KD is trying to defend 7'2 270 lb Brook Lopez, one of the greatest post scorers of the last 30 years....now after this offseason when the Suns can build the roster around KD and Booker, they will be able to add the big wings it needs to compete against Milwaukee and Boston.
