      Hi and thanks for your 'vote' for the pink fabric make. I havent decided yet what to make. It will be determined by what pattern I choose of course because 2 meters sometimes isnt enough for a dress. We will see! Happy sewing

    Love your upside down vest and the distressed denim look. My vote for the pink fabric is a blouse…stunning fabric. I’m in Sydney and enjoying the Aussie content.

      Hi Karen, great to have you comment on my vlog. Yes, the pink fabric will look amazing in a blouse, which was the original thought for it. I will put a bit more thought to it yet though. ... gotta love an Aussie vlogger hey? Happy sewing

    Deb your pink fabric is stunning. I would never be able to cut into it. I like your first vogue pattern view c. What will you get more wear out of? A dress or Blouse omg I want that Emma Blouse so bad. It's stunning. Yes make the Emma out of your pink fabric. That way you can see the details. Lovely to spend my morning with my friends 😊❤❤

    I think a dress from that fabric would show off the flowers better. Excited to do the denim challenge!

    What a fun video Deb! Very entertaining and how clever you are to make a vest from a pair of jeans. Love the fabric and certainly make a dress. I have just started watching you from Melbourne. 😀👏💐

    Hi Deb. I also live in the gorgeous city of Perth. I love your patina blouse and your new bag is beautiful but I really love your old bag. Did you sew it from a particular pattern? Or would you be willing to sell it 🤭??

      @sewingseamswithdeb  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI Danielle, thanks for the comments. The older denim bag was made from a pattern. The pattern is 'The WristletPurse' by Monica Poole. Re selling it... PM me on Instagram and we can chat.. Happy sewing!

    Just love the beautiful fabric you are undecided about. My vote is a dress. I'm also someone who has what I feel is precious fabric and I can't bring myself to use it.

    Thank you again Deb I sew enjoy your vlogs. I have selected an old denim shirt for my challenge my lovely husband helped me unpick parts of it for me today as I am a little special in the right hand. Thats ok we will get there . i love your upside down vest if you cut it in half along the red button line then take out some length and sew it back together it would be shorter. I hope you understand that suggestion. Keep being a fun and inspiring sewist just love it

    • @sewingseamswithdeb
      @sewingseamswithdeb  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello and thank you for your comments. Your denim shirt into an upcycle sounds like it will be lovely. Great that you have your husband helping out too. I get what you mean about the upside down vest that I already have, to shorten it. I have considered that and played with how it looks... but am a bit attached to it how it is, and so want to make a whole new one. It too will have its own character because doing the upcycling, which I am sure you agree with, is such a creative process. You never know what it will truly turn out like until it is finished! Its fun alright. Happy making!

    Hi Deb new to your channel. I live in France....used to live in OZ. I love your energy and enthusiasm. I am also just starting the Emma blouse in a beautiful red ditsy floral from beyond the pink door. Have fun with the sew April blouse....Ithink you should make a dress with that gorgeous pink floral fabric.

      Hello and welcome to the channel. How is France to live in as an Aussie? I will be visiting Paris and countryside later in the year. Your Emma Blouse sounds lovely and BTPD fabric is so lovely usually. The Emma blouse is such a lovely pattern. I have yet to make a toile so will decide about the pink fabric into a Emma Blouse, after that. Happy sewing

      thanks for your comment. Yes the red/white spotted collar stands out alot doesnt it? Unfortunatly the fabric in the shirt is a bit warm and it is pretty sweaty, so the weather has to be JUST right to wear it. I just love it though! I hope you do make the Patina Blouse, it really is a lovely pattern. Happy sewing

    Hey Db, love your Vlog, what about a Shirt Dress out of the pretty pink fabric, then you can wear it as a dress and also open over a straight dress or jeans and top

      What a great suggestion about wearing a shirt dress opened as a long throw over shacket. I hadnt thought of that idea. I havent finalised my decision yet... Happy sewing

    Deb l think the fabric from Gabriel’s box is going to be gorgeous in a dress. I think the pattern on the fabric needs to be showcased . Also why waste a half metre! I remember making a denim skirt from old jeans similar to your current design. I’m pretty sure l was much smaller so l was able to use the bottom of the Jean legs or a similar denim to fill that gap. Very cool vest. That’s called distressed l think. Stacey in NZ distresses her own jeans. All of the ACT is Canberra🤭
