    Hey Mate, just a follow-up, I bought a 100A with your code 4 months ago, have basically run it down every day or every 2nd day to 4% or less, still works like a charm.

      How good is that to hear! I'm glad it's going strong. I'm going to chuck two of their new bluetooth ones in the van. Just waiting for them to launch.
      They are a wonderful company to deal with.

      @@Off.Track4x4 I just got two of the 200A Plus version, $612 each during Halloween sale which is a bargain considering what a solid performer the 100A has been, , I have setup a small off grid system for home with a few solar panels and Victron gear, it's working like a charm, I asked Li-Time about the 200a Bluetooth versions and they said no plans to bring them here currently which is a shame as that's all they are missing

    I just bought one for just a little over $400 USD delivered from Amazon.

    Does it have a low temp charging disconnect? It was getting down to 3 degrees, you said. There's plenty of places that get sub 0 weather in Australia.
    I can't seem to find anything on the net about it.

      Hey mate, unfortunately I'm not at home so don't have the instruction booklet.
      Looking at their website id say the new range definitely has cold and hot temperature discount. Just get one of them if your worried 😁
      I'll never be anywhere near zero so doesn't concern me.

    The inverter shut down due to low voltage (audible alarm), the battery BMS was still active which means it wasn’t 100% discharged

      Hey mate, thank you for watching and commenting, That could be the safety features built into the BMS. As my hardkorr the BMS shuts down and the battery goes completely flat. That means it won't simply just start charging, vs this one has a safety cut off at 1ah to drop voltage so no appliances work off it and the BMS stays awake.

    The 80 percent charge 20 percent discharge rule does not apply to lifepo4 but to lithium ion batteries for automotive apparently. You can charge discharge 100/0 for lifepo4.

    • @Off.Track4x4
      @Off.Track4x4  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey mate, thanks for watching and commenting your feed back, my hardkorr lifepo4 recommends only 70% and my big Wei lifepo4 battery recommends 90%
      Definitely read your batteries manufacturers specs and never go to 100% even if they say you can, not good for the battery.

    I might need to watch the video again.....I'm still wanting to know if this is better than kings 200ah.....specs look alright for the money.

    • @Off.Track4x4
      @Off.Track4x4  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By far better then the king's, king's make some good stuff I've done videos on some of them. But their batteries unfortunately just aren't worth it.

      @@Off.Track4x4 The king's batteries do the job (barely) and poor cycle specs, also poor build quality, the Li Time have a good reputation, but the BMS on these entry level one's has a reputation of the over-current protection not working as per specs, so you definitely need to ensure your fuse protection is done correctly to avoid unexpected result ie: fire, other than that they are fine, I would take a Li Time any day over a Kings

    Informative video. However, u said u had tested the battery, but u haven't tested there claim on 100% DOD. I wouldn't do 100%. But it would be good to know this claim has been tested.

      Hey mate, I'm guessing you comment to early 😉
      This video tested that exact thing using a hardkorr battery monitor. No issues doing 100% DOD

    Why comments disabled on the Big Wei review ?, it's a good product but with some concerns, can't express these concerns because comments are disabled, disappointing.

      Hey mate,
      I had alot of other battery companies putting up negative comments on this review, my channel is not the place for companies to run each other down. So I disabled comments for the new one for the first day to stop it. Sorry I just don't have time for that carry on.

    Li-time has been around for years with many teardowns and capacity tests on the net all passing. I'd be very cautious with any review with companies now taking action against people whose reviews aren't accurate. Like the guy being sued for defamation by DCS for posting a review on one of their batteries they sent him. Now he's trying to raise 200k through a gofund me to be able to defend himself.
    Speaking to some other manufacturers at a recent off-grid expo a few said they will be watching the DCS case with interest.
    Makes you wonder if it's worth it!

    • @Off.Track4x4
      @Off.Track4x4  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey mate, thanks for watching and commenting. I did alot of testing of this battery before making a video BMS protected as advertised and battery does everything they say. I've had a few other battery companies putting comments up trying to run the battery down, I wouldn't be surprised if the videos your seeing online are funded by other battery companies.
      As far as the DCS court case goes I comment on his video, he doesn't need to pay legal fees he could self represent and be fine, in Australia its a bit different to the US no big court payouts happen here and people don't just take each other to court as it's not worth it. Also we have a law protecting our freedom of speech, that guy gave his opinion and he is legally allowed to do that. He is a bit of a dick for getting the product for free then smashing it, just give it back if your not happy and tell your follows that. If he bought it him self then he should have the right to smash it. In the US he would be In shit, but here it will get thrown out.

      @theghostoffrankgrimes5621 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry I disagree, regardless of whether he was given it for free or not I want to hear an honest opinion… not a bought one. Retailers need to know if they give a product out FOR REVIEW then they do so at their own risk. If they don’t want honest opinions, then only get sponsors to advertise for them. And I’ll watch what I choose and call out dishonesty in comments every time

    • @cdonuts7335
      @cdonuts7335 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@theghostoffrankgrimes5621 there are a lot of people jumping on the capacity battery test bandwagon, trying to be the next Prouse TH-cam channel! Their methods aren't the most scientific or controlled which can leave them open to making false claims and misrepresenting the product.
      It's very easy for a manufacturer to clearly show that the batteries are rated under specific test conditions and any deviation from that is not correct.
      I agree with you it's good to know how anything performs in the real world conditions. And people should be able to state their opinion on anything! But I think it's the reviewer that ends up owning the risk!
      Which can be devastating if you haven't got the money unlike some others to defend yourself!

    Tell them to make some slimline ones, these chunky ones are old technology

      It is not technology but fitting everything in a smaller case. The technology is the same.
