8:25 I dont think this formation is legal in 4e since coherency is half an inch and in such big units models need to be coherent with two other models.
Correct on the out of coherency on the Chainrasp. Plus, if he had piled them in properly, he could have also denied the one unit of Clanrats from bringing any back due to blocking coherency. Bad play is bad
Warcry has a lot less models, more terrain (vertical), random deployments, less unit abilities, one dice roll to resolve attacks (no wound, save, or ward rolls), and if you want to - list building. Warcry is very much a clean skirmish game within the mortal realms whereas Spearhead looks like a "honey I shrunk the AOS4" with most of the interactions and rules similar to full size AOS4 just played on a smaller scale and simplified board. I currently play Warcry but am also super excited to jump into Spearhead
Having played a few games I hate that nighthaunt doesn't have any range making us skip an entire phase meaning we can really only charge leaving objectives wide open. Also compared to Skaven specifically, we were severely nerffed even down to our enhancements. The only things we have really now is ethereal, fly, and a ward save which still doesn't mean much when all of our units only have 1 hp. Skaven are stupid rules-wise with every unit having 4+ health (excluding clanrats only) and being able to bring models back 1d3 (d6 depending on regiment abilities.) every turn for free and still being able to reinforce the rats once the unit has died. It feels extremely cheap when you have a bad dice luck day and you finally kill most of that rat unit just for it to come back and take the control away from you.
Jezzails aren't in the spearhead, they just came with the Skaventide box. Skaven have 2 spearheads. This one is the Gnawfeast Clawpack, the other is Warpspark Clawpack (the old Vanguard box).
@@7nineofspades5 You are correct with the hold more. He hold 2 objectives while his enemy only hold 1. So only -1 points. Doesn't really matter because the difference was so big but still. 15:30 is when he chooses the 10man unit as his blood marked.❤
Not a huge fan of the spearhead battle reports. All kind of feel the same. Minimal terrain, speed out, charge or be charged, game over. I miss your elaborate tables with all that awesome terrain and larger scale armies.
There’s a good reason for that. Spearhead is meant to be short games in a smaller space. Charging out is the most reliable way to claim the scoring objectives. More terrain on that board size would clog the board quickly

I was thinking "what the heck is that conga line??"
The base size makes them coherent with two models…
The base size is less than half an inch?
A 25mm base is just about 0.98” so no you can’t be coherent if you’re measuring over bases…

NH turn 1. One of the chainrasp units charged without coherence: 7 or more figures require 2 friendly models within 1/2inch.
That add was amazing and in no way awkward i loved it
But where is the Ogor v Lumineth? I did not see that!
in the forge. Gotta check it out on their website. It was a blast of a game.
Great content!
How does this compare to Warcry? If the comparison makes sense at all, I don't know... Which one do you enjoy the most?

This is basically balanced mini AOS where Warcry is a skirmish game, definitely scratches different itches.
@@Polimathe Thanks!
As a nighthaunt player I think the spearhead for us is pretty garbage. Needed some Harridans or Revenants, and some Hexwraiths.
Yeah, doesn't seem like a great spearhead for nighthaunt. It's quite a boring set of units when they have so many awesome ones to have chosen from
As an Ironjawz player... at least you have a Spearhead :(

Not that I play yet but oof. NH is my favorite set

Isn't the Skaven spearhead force supposed to have jezzails in too?

Die-die err….ghost-things. 🐀🐀🐀
Where was episode 2 😂
So what we have learned is that the deal can die…
First. 🎉 let’s go Skaven
Here for the ra togres
poor haunts..
their spearhead seems super weak, nothing in their list does any damage whatsoever.
@@rotm4447 as a die hard Nighthaunt fan they have always been awful and it hurts me to my very core...
Priority turn 3 shouldn’t have been given away, underdog can draw cards even when they steal
the initiative i believe?
Underdog can only draw cards on a “double turn” if they are 5 or more point behind
Skaven never had his home objective turn 1 and 2 and didnt kill his bloodmark target. should have -3 points.
The home objective doesn't matter as he still held 1, 2 and more, and he did kill his target. So wrong on all counts.
