Were you guys playing the turns correct concerning the double turn? When a player wins priority and they decide to have the player that went second go again causing a double turn, that does not cause the player to not draw cards. That only happens when the player that went second on the last turn, wins priority for the next round and decides to take the first turn in the battle round. You have to meet both conditions, Win the priority roll and had went second on the last turn. When the other player wins priority that does not count against the other player. SEIZING THE INITIATIVE If the player who went second in the previous battle round wins the priority roll and chooses to go rst in the current battle round, they do not draw any battle tactic cards for that battle round unless they are the underdog and the di erence in victory points between the players is 5 or more.
Sylvaneth lost even with big ogor "ops". However putting the tree lord in range of the mid objective without screening just assuming he was going to survive was the decider. Also that wack splitfire, spreading out damage
The speed of the spearhead games is nice. But I miss the elaborate boards and scenery that you guys normally put in your 2000pt games. The spearhead boards are so small and plain in comparison

I really love Spearhead. It's nice to have a (almost) pick up and play game still with plenty of depth, variety etc

Also the Large terrain should have been obscuring, so the leader shouldn't have been shot. I think they're too used to 40k rules
