My only comment on technique: Prepare the sauce and chicken while the pasta is cooking. Cook for about 2 minutes less than the package instructions for "al dente". Reserve the pasta water. Then, rather than draining the pasta and letting it dry out and cool, add it directly into your sauce and allow it to finish cooking in the pan. The reserved pasta water can be added if things look a little dry and to make the sauce even silkier and smoother.
I just made this for my Family tonight and I had to come back to let you know how incredible it was. My Husband is not a pasta lover but told me this is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever made.

Hello from San Francisco Bay Area. I am making this dish tomorrow night! Love this channel and how you get right to it, with little tidbits of wisdom thrown in.❤❤❤
@@simplethings1363 John always puts a link to the recipe in the description, rather than the recipe itself. Check for something that says”Full recipe here.”
My family loved this! I substituted gluten free noodles, Kate hill dairy free cream cheese, coconut cream and ghee for butter. My littles asked if I could make it more 😊 TY!
I’m just learning how to cook and your recipes have been a huge help already! I actually just made this 2 days ago and it was delicious! I can’t wait to try more of your recipes! Thank you for sharing them with everyone.😄
Saw this a couple of days ago. I didn’t have all the ingredients but this inspired me to create my own pasta dish with what I did have and it was delicious! Thanks for all the great recipes, cooking tips and inspirations!
This is a an absolutely delicious recipe. However, I tweaked it. I doubled the sauce.i think it would have been too dry otherwise. Added two chopped deseeded jalapeños Added a package of organic washed spinach Added a package of sliced crimini mushrooms It was even better today heated up.
This looks awesome! The only thing I would do differently is peel the tomatoes because tomato skins are nasty. My garden is producing tons of tomatoes and peppers right now so this would be great!
So... This was actually at a menu at a TGIF from where I live at in the Philippines, and I always order this and have always wondered how to make it, and now I just found out you made this recipe. Thank you so much. Now I don't have to go out spend a lot just to eat my favorite. Thanks ^^

I’m making it tonight. So you know why he reserved the pasta water and what to do with it?
@@LadieKadie- I added mine to the sauce. How did yours turn out?
Pasta is easily one of the best and most versatile foods on the planet. Can't wait to try this recipe!

Clever of you to not put the recipe in the description...now I have to watch the video at least twice all the way through! 😂
Check for the recipe in his website! Then you don’t have to watch the whole video again

@@alanhirschman1320No ! There’s no link !
Right ! I also have to watch in order to see what ingredients I need !
@@simplethings1363 Now that I looked back I see that you’re right, there is no link to a recipe. I guess it’s the exception that proves the rule.

Made this today. AMAZING!!!
Sieht lecker aus. Ich mag deine Rezepte.
Grüße aus Deutschland ❤😊
Made this Cajun chicken tonight and it is fantastic! It’s on our make again and again list!
There is a known rule: Sauce should always wait for the pasta, not the other way around
dos that mean we make the sauce first???? expain
@@pick2206 Yes. put the pasta in the water when the sauce is almost ready
Preach
I don't think so especially with dried pasta. It takes much longer to overcook than fresh so it's fine to let it stand for a short while.
@lewissammons IT'S NOT PREACHING AT ALL LEWIS, IT'S JUST A RULE OF THUMB OF HOW PASTA SHOULD BE SERVED. 🙄
I'm cajun, and this looks like it is flavorful enough to satisfy my picky family!

Niiiiiice recipe I could have some now.
If I can find cream cheese and make the seasoning mix, this will be on my menu next week!
Really yummy n delicious. 🙂😊.
looks great,
First time seeing your video. This looks good. Do you have a low carb version? Maybe cabbage instead of pasta???
My favorite 🤩 from Barbara
Perfect ❤❤❤Thanks for sharing
If you want to make this more authentically Cajun, add onions and celery. Cajun cooking calls that mix with peppers "the trinity".
Amazing ❤
Do you have any Gaillard copper pots?😊❤
YUMMMMM !
I might try this with basmati rice.
Mamma Mia!
You killed your pasta!
Sauce first 😂
Yummo's 😋
How about adding mushrooms?
What a nice recipe .what can i use instead of peppers which i am allergic to ?
There doesn’t seem to be a recipe link …😊
What do we do with the reserved 1/4 cup of pasta water?
He's always cooking in pans that are too small lol
so yummy 😋 😋
Yummy ❤
Does anyone know why he reserved the pasta water and what he did with it?
Thanks for the recipe😊.. What is the reason you reserve a cup of pasta water?
Looks delicious, sharp knives is important, what do you use to do so?
Use a pan with higher sides so it doesn't fall out.
Thanks for the idea, What did you do with the reserved pasta water?
Good question 😁
Usually, that's used to thin out the sauce if it gets too thick. I guess he didn't need to do that?
Is the recipe posted in a link on this one?
Hey JK! I bet some pickled jalapenos would be tasty in your recipe.
I'm early !!!! Can't wait to try this week!
is it ok to blanch broccoli in pasta water?
Looks Delicious, what kind of knives do you use? Thanks
Yummy ❤😊
Why reserve the pasta water? Where did you use it?
Haha someone has taken a video effects Skillshare class! :D
