my grandfather was Dr. Living near equator in Africa as a white guy we sweat a lot!!! He showered normal but never used deodorant or roll on etc and never had body odor. He always avoided sugars back in 1970's right until end of his life. Initially due to the fact bad for you and grows cancers etc.😂

I live in Canada where it's mostly cold (summer now so it's hot) so I never met anyone who showers twice a day.
After some trauma, i stayed in bed for about a month...and did not shower. Nothing bad happened, thankfully! No weird rashs or infections. My BFF came over and was like "Hon, you smell". I was like "Oh shit, alright. I'm sorry." lol

😂😂😂 I’ve been a trucker for 25 years. There’s times I can smell nasty drivers from OUTSIDE their truck from feet away. I’ve NEVER understood how folks can live like that. I can’t shower more than once a day and get anything done. But once a day is MANDATORY for me and I also go through 5-10 packs of baby wipes also. Stinking has always been a phobia of mine.

Pretty sure you can go a day or two if you aren't sweating or being intimate, otherwise I think it's "wash anything with a crease" and rinse everywhere else.

I mean technically science says the most you should do is shower once a day any more than that and you can start causing skin issues and other problems. Also remember a poll that was done for young adults and it showed most of them only shower 2 to 3 times a week.
Any excuse for people to just be nasty as hell and not wash their asses. You would definitely have skin, funk and stank issues not washing vs washing. These scientist are just plain nasty! 🤢🤮🥴
I shower once a day, if I don't feel clean and smell clean, it makes me feel like shit mentally and sometimes physically if I'm really stressed. But yeah I have psoriasis and have been told showering more than once a day is not good for my skin.

Yeah, COVID lockdown had me slowly slacking off on showers until I was at 1 a week😂 It wasn't anything disastrous though. My skin didn't melt down, it may have actually loved it, but my hair hated me for sure. Whatever grading is used for African hair, I have the super curly one. A week without combing and it turns into one giant matted lock! Half my bath time would be dedicated to washing and teasing it out

By stinking, horribly. Especially with one or two changes of clothes. The clothes that get wet with sweat, dry ,then soaked again for weeks or months? That beautiful, mildewy, wet-dog smell, on top of the serious B.O.

Now I went to NAVY BOOT CAMP and we bathed TWICE a day. With the exception of special forces, sailors don't go BACK PACKING
And hygiene is CRUCIAL ON SHIPS
I my sleeping quarters on an AIRCRAFT CARRIER had 400 women
And 7 showers
So I say again
HYGIENE is CRUCIAL in the NAVY
There is a BIG DIFFERENCE from the Army/Marines who have LIMITED BATHING
VERSE the NAVY where CLOSE CONTACT could have FUNGUSES AND INFECTIONS passed like WILDFIRE
In fact, I started to develop a foot fungus on my ship. When I reported it to medical, they IMMEDIATELY made the woman in charge of the cleaners pull ALL OF THE SHOWER CURTAINS
Deep clean the stalls
And pop ALL OF THE DRAINS and had the drains snaked
That's how SERIOUS the NAVY takes COMMUNICABLE FUNGUSES AND INFECTIONS.
Because CLOGGED DRAINS and DIRTY SHOWER WALLS and CURTAIN S are a BREEDING GROUND for fungus and infection

I will NEVER use a wash cloth twice.

The rash he got is called a yeast rash and its caused by not washing properly and/or an underlying skin condition that is no fun. It can be treated with monistat applied to the skin instead of alcohol according to a doctor I worked with when a patient had a similar problem. Showering is very important.

I remember a few years back here in Dallas there was an ice storm record subzero temperatures the power was out for few days the cold temperature caused water pipes to break I didn't have running water for two weeks when the water came on I didn't care it was not hot I could not wait for hot I wanted to the that icky feeling off I showered in cold water in the middle of winter said and done I felt so much better after that shower

For those on the road, there is also waterless soap. Great for getting you coean. Use with the baby wipes.
I'm disabled so I don't really do anything, not even exercise. So I rarely shower. Maybe once a month, sometimes once every 2 months. Again, Im not active. And all I use is my hand water and soap. Nothing else, accept the towel of course for after the dry off.
And I live with other people say I don't really smell at all until about after a month goes by sometimes and even then it's barely a smell. Then again maybe my body is the exception.
As someone who works a manual labor job, you dont want me going 1 day without showering, let alone a whole month. Gross.

This is a very sensitive subject for the simple fact that my spouse refuses to take a bath. The smell is so bad that I gag even with a mask on. I don't know why he does this but I have said something to him about it. Sometimes I do feel intuitively that he is doing it on purpose. It's embarrassing at times a shower to him is just throwing some water on his back lol. I am praying that he stops doing this.
The longest I’ve gone without a shower in my adult life is 2 days (after surgery). Baby wipes aren’t a substitute for soap and water to prevent crotch cheese 🤮
I admit to have gone a few months without showering. We did 'helmet baths' when deployed, as those baby-wipes weren't around then. Head to toe and rinse, as time permitted. Those baby-wipe baths aren't as good as a good helmet bath, but at least you can minimize some of the more concerned areas until you could get a good body wash.

The reason you feel like that is because you shower so much. Start to shower every two days for 3 months and then your body wont be fighting back and over producing skin oil

yea not showering is bad, but showering properly is also important. limited time in it for one, the vitals on the reg the rest and specials. and most importantly you start with a COLD shower to close the pores and lock in your protective oils... soap and scrub, then ringe.... THEN switch to hot water for a minute to equalize and done... this is specially important after installing fiberglass insolation. you also should not be using soap face at all, thats the leading cause of acne, well for men, for chicks its their skin smothering make up and cleaners/removers...
the hair is race dependent, for us bright fellows we shouldnt be using shampoo and conditioner at all. studies found 3 months after stopping our hair restores its natural oils and softens again as if we just used conditioner... which also protects against lice...
also if you wear your shoes less you will not get athletes foot or foot odor... all skin needs air... period... and the odor is caused by moister and no air contact...
They make disposable wash clothes. Deorderant wipes. There is no excuse for smelling so gross.
