Whats wild is that everyone is basing these allegations from a tweet from a former (fired) twitch employee. Twitch sent the conversation to the State of California's legal division who covers this type of crime when the incident first occurred. Doc admitted to talking to the girl, yes. But the state concluded that there was no wrong doing because the conversation between the two was about how she could grow her platform and following.
After the states finding of no wrong doing, Doc sued twitch and won. Twitch had to payout his remaining contract. All this information is easy to find, yet these youtube channels want to get clicks and views without stating any facts.
Doc is about to go on a suing rampage and get paid.

The one hope for Doc, is that some Twitch employees said the logs were turned over to the proper authorities. My understanding of talking with a minor is that it doesn't take much to cross the line to illegal. Maybe my understanding is wrong, but if I'm right it may be WAY more innocent than we believe. People are going to assume the worst, as you should involving minors until you know different.
It's also weird that Twitch banned him 4 days after Mixer closed shop, but the messages happened 3 years before that. Either way, I think at this point we may see the chat logs, whatever side thinks it helps them may release them.
It actually does take a lot, without pics being exchanged or an in person meet-up it is almost impossible to prove intent. Most cases don't even make it to court. Check into Jared Fogel. There was a mountain of evidence, including telephone recordings and nothing happened. It took YEARS to finally get him.

I feel awful about what's happened. I loved the Doc, watched him for hundreds of hours over the years, given him a monthly subscription for 32 months... I knew he cheated on his wife, which is a scumbag thing to do--no question... but I thought they got through it together, and that was all that happened. I canceled my membership and unsubscribed last week. I imagine this is similar to how OJ fans felt after her murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.

@mrlboydreacts I try to stay out of these conversations because at the end of the day both sides are wrong, meaning him and his former company. There were no criminal charges, his company paid him off after an investigation so I’m surprised there wasn’t a NDA that Twitch violated. You would think this would have gone further and he wouldn’t have been paid because of a breach of contract by interacting inappropriately with a younger member. It’s obviously hard for anyone to support him not knowing more context as you mentioned, but why didn’t the young persons family file charges? If he did it and knowingly did it, then yes he deserves it. His comments didn’t make it better. If he truly didn’t do it knowingly how does someone show that to a community that thinks otherwise, especially with comments like that from a former Twitch employee? If he did it knowingly, well he’s lucky he got off that easy, if he didn’t do it knowingly, then I hope he learns grows and gets another chance. Unfortunately for someone like me who use to watch him I’ll have to step away from watching his content, just not knowing the truth i can’t support it but I hope we get the full facts at some point.

I need more than "a minor" age of legality/consent differs in every country on earth so using 18 as a benchmark makes zero sense to me.
