    I have to say that the saddest thing about watching this reaction was when you said you were thinking about giving up photography.. I am sorry to hear that..

      He didn't say give up photography. He said giving up on "commercial" photography. He said it's not worth it because he won't be paid like he used to.... We can't complain about a problem when we are also the problem. Love this channel watch all your videos

    This is the one conspiracy theory that I completely believe and I don’t think the people who even know actually understand the extent to which the internet is almost wholly run by bots

      I don't think it's that far of a stretch at this point.

      1/3 of the Internet is bots. Most of them serve good purposes like "crawling" websites to index pages in the search engines. So you want your website to interact with that bot to be placed in the best position in the search engines. Preferably the first 3 spots.

    I still use the subscription feed and go through it to find what I want to put on my watch list. I also have a live list, a watch much later list, and other more specific list. I just start on whatever video on my watch list and let them play. I don't need any algorithm or suggestions. I know what I'm doing.

    2016 🤔 i wonder what happened in 2016 that would centralize communications into singular controlled messaging. Censorship all carefully curated to keep culture in line.

      In 2016 their were rumors that Facebook was going to shutdown. But in 2010, they started promoting the "idea" of social media at web conferences across the nations. I have been to a few and they are similar to how the doctors go to conferences. At that point, I feel they started pushing their agenda definitely.

    The same with the wealth on the Internet. The first wave wave made the millions, the second wave made fewer, third, and so forth... Things like Influencer are created to keep the scheme going for another 10 years... Now you see, youtubers on game shows... Another 10 yrs... But who generating all the wealth? 🤑

    Web Tv was the slowest internet I started with. My mom had her first PC in 98 and I would go over on weekends and use it. Then I bought the web tv and with the help of a friend from work he helped me to build my first PC over a few mos as I could afford parts for the PC. But back up in 1983 I had my 1st pc that wasn't online was the IBM PC jr. I learned BASIC language on that and in school.
    I'd like to go back to pre 2006 internet before corn tubes. I've worked online with corn since 2001 and after the tubes, I've had to work a lot harder to make the money I did before.
    I'm a real boy, not a bot. haha

    As someone who started a new Yt channel not long ago, I know it was terrible timing sadly. But I never worked past my shyness until recently. I know I'll never be a big channel and have like 30m subs of course. And I'm ok with that. I'm still having fun doing it. Though admittedly it would be great if YT is like is used to be. And yeah, I don't care about the algorithm and what it wants. I just release what I want and enjoy.

    The origins of the dead internet theory goes back to cyberpunk in the 90s. 2019 was when someone decided to turn the concept into a written out theory with the actual math.

    • @MrDekasOne
      @MrDekasOne หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GeriatricSeal91 that's fine, but he needs to realise he can't blame youtube entirely for his lack of views, part of the reason he gets so little views is because he reacts to garbage videos and he knows they are garbage he's said so himself, he needs to own that or change what he reacts to, if he's OK with getting low views which I don't believe he is that's fine but he can't sit here and blame youtube when it's partly his own fault

    • @GeriatricSeal91
      @GeriatricSeal91 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MrDekasOne I understand what you're saying, but "garbage" content is purely subjective. Just like any creative process based skill/art form. But I do agree it's many factors, mainly that he is varied in his content. therefore 10% of his subscribers may like one thing, but not the next thing. But he must not care if he keeps doing it knowingly admitting he doesn't want to play the algorithm game
