    I never got the impression Ben had an illusions he could best Vader. I think he knew his time was up, and his battle with Vader had more subtle motives, distracting the Dark Lord to ensure he didn't confront Luke or the others and perhaps unnerving him when he surrenderd himself prior to Vader striking him.

    Ajunta pall was a sith spirit for a thousand years, bound to his tomb. But he regretted betraying the jedi, finding peace and becoming one with the force. So was he sent to "Chaos" or do sith just need to let go of their hatred and greed for power to return to the force?

    Can I start by saying Vader looks mean as hell in that thumbnail. For 1977 this movie was amazing. It defied a lot of limitations Hollywood put on films back then. Plus George knew Hollywood was racist against Jews and Dark-skinned people so he did things his way which proved EO be better because Hollywood used his inventions in almost all their movies nowadays. I’ll always love George Lucas and Mel Brooks for taking extraordinary risks and telling the truth through their films.

    It seems like the sith are trying to prevent the grim reaper from guilding them to whatever fate they have which in this case is chaos or the star wars version of hell (to be clear the grim reaper's sole duty is to guide those that have passed on to the next life the grim reaper does not determine what fate you have after death he only guides you to whatever fate awaits you and the grim reaper is neither good or evil but rather a force of nature)

    • @davidgibson470
      @davidgibson470 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If your destiny after death is based off what you've done I would think it would assess your actions like a judge would a crime. That means checking intent versus impact so I would think that even if you basically caused the Holocaust and murdered 1000s of people you could go to the nether realm instead of chaos because you had pure intent. Especially if you try to stone at the end of your life when you realize what you did.

    • @cobalt968
      @cobalt968 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After his death, Marr had a very long time to converse with Satele Shan to create a unique viewpoint on the Force that they would later impart to the Outlander. In this process, he adopted the Jedi belief that “there was no death, only the Force.” Marr was also peculiar for a Sith because before all of that, he didn’t try to evade death, and spent most of his life trying to preserve the Empire. He might have avoided Chaos because of these factors.
      Lana Beniko might also have avoided that fate for much of the same reason. She has a unique version of the Sith philosophy, and also worked for the benefit of the Sith Empire as a whole and later the Eternal Alliance, which both played a role in helping preserve the galaxy as a whole. Though she did some undoubtedly shady stuff in her job, she wasn’t excessively cruel or power hungry.

    • @tonybujanovichiii8850

      @@cobalt968 thank you for your insight, Marr is my favorite Sith Lord of all Sith and I was extremely happy to see him return as a force ghost, hence why I’ve pondered on how he became said force ghost. And I hope Lana has escape the fate of chaos. Both of them share a common alignment, serving the Empire and its citizens sith or imperial over themselves.

    One thing i do not like about Star Wars is that there is no final judgement. If Chaos exists as a type of Hell who is the Just Judge who determines they should suffer? The Force is also called the Living Force but is not a personal being. It’s not even “Living” in that it’s not a personal being which also means there is no Will of the Force either. A Will is indicative of a being endowed with Free Agency. Basically it makes no sense but I suspend my disbelief and enjoy the mythos nonetheless.

    Off topic question what's the likelihood of you making an in depth video about nom anor? He's my favorite Star wars character and I think he is a great character for sticking true to himself matter what even choosing death instead of fleeing with Luke and the twins. Instead of believing Luke would honor what he said in the end of the new Jedi order books and choosing death instead because he knew it would be his own choice. I have great respect for him because he was the one vong we saw outside the slave caste actively question the nature of vong hierarchy and put his own survival over all of his people's beliefs (the warrior that allied with Anakin solo doesn't fully count because he only fully went against his people's hierarchy after being shamed and demoted from warrior to slave caste)

    I believe that both outcomes are correct. The Sith wish to gain as much power as possible in the physical world, to the point where they can transcend death and become immortal Sith Gods, while at the same time they can escape from the judgement that awaits them after their death. In other words, these 2 reasons are best described as 2 birds with one stone.

That means their life force and spirit would become one in a spiritual realm of all jedi masters. Other hand, chaos realm of hellfire spirits from sith lord's and dark forces in play forever be coursed angecy to be forever in pain. you have to treat the force as a place of peace rather than a judgement. Anakin was able to be one with the force because he finally let go of his sith ways and decided to risk his life for his son. Chaos is for those who refuses to transcend, even if you force them at will to transcend it might corrupt the eternal peace so they go to chaos to let go of their old ways.

    Here's one thing a don't get how can the Sith not beable to become force ghost. Jedi was formed by siths so it wouldn't exist without them right? Even as you said there's been Sith lords who've become force ghost sush as Darth nilhius and Naga sadal.

    I once wondered about sith holocrone darth Crayt found. Did it contained darth's Andeddu, Bane and Nihilus souls? I read the comic long time ago, and I'm not sure if there was a clear explanation (correct me if I'm wrong), but by the fact the sith used certain artifacts to come back, why wouldn't it be their holocrones fulled with sith knowledge?

    NGL i do not really like the idea of sith going to "chaos". One of the cool aspects of the force was that both the sith and jedi tap into the same power source in different ways, and molded or became with it in differing ways. If there is judgement, why does this somewhat neutral source become judging in the afterlife.

      "I don't think all Sith are evil" is a nonseniscal statement in and of itself. Intentionally embracing a philosophy that requires a person to accumulate power at the expense of other life forms and treat those life forms as expendable matter in pursuit of that power inherently makes someone evil.

      And the sith brutalized them
      Loved ones swore retribution
      They achieved it and sent sith underground and out of sight
      Both causes however just, are unbalanced… is a theft = to a murder? Many would say no…

    If I want to look at this simplistically, it doesn't make sense. You are constantly hearing about a balance in the force. If there is a balance to the force, then one would think that what the Light side can do, so should the dark side. That is balance! 100 pounds on one side of the scale, and 100 pounds on the other side of the scale = Balance.

    Well chaos is just bad writing. If there is a hell that can be objectively shown to be real, and the path to go there is well laid out there would be no sith. Nobody would choose eternal suffering for temporary gains.
