Fantastic match. Great to see kk still playing so well and fit. He was tired in the fifth and sixth games but gathered the fading stamina to survive the last. Great camera angle - it shows the intensity much much better than the usual TV telecast angle

@1985Rolfes It's not just their power (Kreanga has been clocked at 80 MPH on a smash). It's their speed of reaction and footspeed, combined with extreme consistency and accuracy of placement. They can put maximum effort into 6-10 returns across the table a large percentage of the time. Not many people can sustain that kind of concentration, while playing at the extreme limits of human capability.
Very good vid. I love where the camera stands (i think its the trainings cam from Kreanga) So you can see the power of the shots. Sometimes if i see the Tv-Videos from far, far , far away; i think...hm my shots arent less powerfull, but Vids like this proof me I'm wrong

@kuco777 sorry, but i disagree. indeed, kreanga is from another generation of players. the learned different styles, techniques and metagame. however, he showed, that he can enforce his style of play on dima and righteously won. this had mostly to do with his strong fighting spirit.
The German guy is pretty good attacker but I hate how he uses backhand for returning serves ... he actually pays the price of that.

@Proeda11 You're nuts dude. Ovtcharov was down 3 games to none. If anybody was lucky it was him. He played well to catch back up. Then, Kreanga blew him away with some nasty backhands. Kreanga beat almost everybody in the tournament. No one gets lucky for eleven matches.

@BloxorzWizard Actually i think for this level many returns are to high or to slow. (but of course there are not every rally in this vid, so i only can comment the rallies which i'd seen in this vid)
But in the other things you're absolutely right :)

@eberaldo Fighting spirit, ja das ist richtig naturlich ! aber Dima ist besser spieler fur mich...this would not change. Naturlich, Kreanga ist sehr sehr gut spieler auch
@eberaldo The european player from Kreanga's generation is much much better.....Look at the Olympics, the European players with the best results are Waldner 2000, Waldner 2004, Persson 2008, ....
The new generation of European players are just not up to the task...

Овчаров всю карьеру по сей день подаёт против правил - то с руки, то на ходу, то прикрывая мяч и т.д. Его тащат как могут на всех соревнованиях как "надежду Европы", а надежды и след простыл, сдулся.
Китайцев штрафуют и за менее явные нарушения, но это не поможет!
В Овчарова вложены большие деньги, а Креанга вырос в эпоху бедноты тенниса. Когда поднятый вверх палец означает что ты первый и это подкреплено фактами, а не понтами

Dima is a better player than Kreanga and that was actually the reason for his loss, he realized it too much and wasn´t doing his best in the first three games...I absolutely understand him, cause Kreanga is a fool, realizing being a worse player so making all the extra effort..
both are good players until they meet the chinese :)
