Tokic has a very interesting backhand among European players. The convention is like Ovtcharov's or Samsonov's "Swing" backhand, where the backhand attack is played with a full swing stroke. However, Tokic has also something like Primorac's "Punch" backhand, where he uses a small compact "punch" to hit the ball forward fast with almost no spin. Would be interesting to see if more European players try to expand their repertoire with this....
Tokic's victory is not from luck I believe. If you look closely, other than excellent service receives, he also vary the ball's speed and placement. This present problems for Dima. Dima also played extremely well, his counterloops far from the table is out of this world. Combined with Tokic's excellent rally skill makes one very entertaining looper against looper match. In the end however the edge call seems to affect Dima's mental composure, resulting in Tokic's victory. Thanks for the vid !
@lesliefrancs The point for the edge after the net, because Dima was cho-ing at the time already. I personally didn't see the ball hitting the edge from the two shots, but probably it was as the umpire saw it.

dimitrij had the spirit to catch the left behind set, but can't finish it with the winning. i saw several matches of him like this. he may has the spirit but unfortunately he lack mental of a champion.
