MovinMetal It's understandable you say that, but V8s on Ferraris are not bad either. What i said wasnt about the engines, it's about the whole set up of the cars. Nowadays they just tune fake sounds by doing something to exhausts or inlet system or whatever (sorry im not very skilled at technological terms and stuff) and even creating that digitally. And then those suspension control options, or several traction control systems. Too much choice and too much interfering by a computer system. I don't even mind turbos because the F40 proved it could work but to replace everything with it? NAH. And not to mention going hybrid, aargh. Ferrari has lost its soul these days.
Some of the V8's did sound incredible, I actually got to drive a 355 Spyder about 9 years ago and it sounded amazing! But the Ferrari flat-12 is a mechanical symphony, the layers of sound are lush and bristling. The heritage is there as well, Ferrari used that engine well into the 1980's in their Formula 1 cars, even when others had moved onto V-type engines to allow for fitment of venturi tunnels underneath (Lotus was first) Read about Gilles when he raced for Ferrari and had to battle the new Renault V6 turbo cars in the early 80's. Great story extolling the virtues of these glorious motors :)
Thanks ;-) I used a GoPro also with a normal Motorsport package...(without external micro) The sound isn't perfect with the windnoise but is correct in these video...

+Firemarioflower my least favorite Ferrari is 458 Italia it have bad v8 that sound like i4 even Ferrari 360 or f355 sound better.
