    Quick correction. In the video I seemed to imply if your truck is missing the wires this install is not possible. That’s untrue, however it becomes much more difficult. You will have to run new wiring. Others have done it on both the lightning forums and the ice f150 forums.

    I have a 2023 F150 Lightning in Lariat with extended range, so it already includes the Blue Cruise (with adaptive cruise control) but I still find your videos like this interesting and cool. Good job, and thanks for sharing.

    Finally got around to doing this upgrade. I’ve got Pro that is near identical to you build. Thanks to your video (and the forum link for the forscan bit) it’s working like a charm. It really does also add lane centering!

    This was so very helpful on how to remove the front bumper. I hit a deer in my '22 lariat edition and it wiped out the "shutters" ( I would have called them baffles) along with some of the trim. Removing the front bumper was counterintuitive and I wouldn't have been able to do it without your video. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post this video!!

    I did this with my XLT 311A. I tried answering a couple of your questions on this forum post the community lucky to have this video out there now. Thanks for letting people see what they're getting Into also if you set adaptive cruise control on and click the "lane keeping" button it's actually lane centering as long as you have lane markings on both sides and "hold" the wheel lol

      Hey thanks. For whatever reason I glossed over that lane centering portion when I read the title of the post. Nice surprise.

    You are fearless.
    I love my 2023 Pro, but the one option I wish I could add is passive entry (just on driver's side).

    • @KurtsRPMGarage
      @KurtsRPMGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I definitely got my eye on that one too. I installed the keypad as a sort of in between solution but it’s not quite the same. My old truck had it and I didn’t realize how much I liked it until it was gone.

      here's been my work-around for 'keyless' entry from DAY ONE with my own PRO: put the key fob in the center console and LEAVE IT THERE.. Your phone/FordPassApp will allow you entry with the push of a button, anytime, from anywhere - and distance is NOT a concern. I even loaded the FordPassApp on my wife's phone so that, just in the case I could not get my own app/phone to work, she could give it a go. It's worked AWESOME for 20,000 miles all over the southeast - I've never had any issue, and don't have to carry the key fob with me. No door code needed.

    • @ontheroadwithralph1530
      @ontheroadwithralph1530 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@turnersinsurance8656 I'm pleased that has worked for you and, if I lived in a developed area with good cell service, I'd be tempted to try it. But my two homes are 1) in the Mojave Desert and 2) in very rural Arkansas. My travels, almost on a daily basis, take me to locations with poor-to-nonexistent cellular service. I all it takes is for either the iPhone or the Lightning to lose connectivity and I'd be SOL. Also, if anyone were to break into the truck, one of the first places they are going to ransack is the center console. If I hid the fob there - or wherever - I've literally just handed them the keys to the Lightning. I think I will wait until Kurt and others determine if passive entry can be retrofitted to the Pro.

      Nope. Those sensors are strictly for parking. If you don’t have the tow technology package though there is a bit more work you have to do. Go to the link in the video description for the f150lightningforums thread on the subject. There is some additional wiring that has to be run.
