Why everybody looked harder and more badass in Z and the opposite is true for Super is beyond me. I guess the trend of looking absolutely ripped and godlike, has been traded for the trend of blue dyed hair and purple cats.

Norra What a shit excuse. Did you not see Yajirobe? Yajrobe as stil fat, Mai looked halthy, everyody else looked healthy. Not only that but Trunks is a Saiyan and his physiology is different than humans. To top it off, it's just unappealing visually.

I think for the girls he is the most attractive character. He is tall, athletic from the outside and from the inside he is self assured and calm in strong contrast to vegeta who is very insecure deep inside and must overcompansate this with bossy and aggressive behavior. Also Trunks is for his upbringing a very moderated and balanced character. He is serious and reliable but he can also laught.

You know, this reminded me that one of the very first fanfictions I'd ever read was called 'Mirai no Dragonball Z' and the premise was following how the Buu saga would turn out for Future Trunks. Obviously some new characters (and a handful of old) were brought in, we even got to see a more serious Mr. Satan, after living under the Androids' destruction for years. All in all it was pretty cool... sadly I've not been able to find it again.

Y’all think about this too much, trunks is only thin because that’s how the animators wanted him to looks, just like how John romita sr drew a buff squared Spider-Man while Humberto Ramos drew a slim and lean Spider-Man
The most likely reason Super Trunks has Blue Hair is that he's supposed to have his mother's hair color, and since Toriyama has direct control in Super, he made sure Trunks's hair color was correct. Speaking of Bulma though, her hair has always ranged from Green Blue to light blue so it still works for Trunks.
No it really doesnt, in one of Geekdoms videos he straight up explained why the hair was like that and Also its really dumb because they flashback to Z showing his purple hair from back then during the Cell game saga, and even his kid self has the same hair Trunks always had so its just a dumb art choice tbh. For Bulma its more like changing the hue of the color of her hair so its no big but for Trunks its incredibly obvious and distracting.
