Great Video Bro, I worked for GameStop for 12 years, and when I left in 2014 I had amassed some shares. Later on, when the stock price was around $4 I would buy and tell friends to buy because the stock always saw an increase during the holidays. Because of that advice, I ended up helping a few friends and family members make some good money during the GameStop craze. Im still sitting on over 300 shares of GME stock and I also invested heavily in RIVN stock seeing how the market is moving faster and faster towards electric, Plus I invested in NVDA in 2019 and still have a good amount of shares from them. This was a Great incite into how you think Bro and you are definitely giving out great tips. I really enjoyed this video where we get to know Ness a little bit more than just the gaming side, keep up the great work Bro.
I appreciate you bro! Yeah 300 shares you are sitting pretty. I'm still kicking myself for not getting into NVDA back then smh I can't win them all. I may do more videos like this in the future.
Hey Ness, Wishing you and your family a Happy 4th of July bro. Always a pleasure seeing you in action and looking forward to see your next neo-Geo and other material uploads you share with us my good man. 8^) Anthony..
Nice Fireside Chat under Neo Ness' learning tree. Not only game collector advice, but financial and budgetary things to consider. I hope this video does good numbers for your channel because there's a lot of good gems in here. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!
I invest and am currently in GME. This was a really dope video. I have a side hustle of breaking sports cards that allows me to continue to collect video games and other things that I enjoy. Keep killing it Ness!
Yep, I invest. I do both long term and some very very short term fun stuff lol. Long term historically always wins, but it's boring lol... so better to set that up automated and forget about it. Always DONT FORGET THE HIGHER TAXES on short term investing!
Hi Neo Ness. Question on AES cases. When you have a softcase that is damaged or tray is cracked... how do you go about it? Aftermarket AES softcase around $40, or do you prefer to Frankenstein it with another original softcase and replace the insert etc.
Hey! Generally I try to source an affordable soft-case. The other thing I do is if I find a condition upgrade game I’ll swap boxes if there are no cracks etc. I have a few titles that I need condition upgrades for so I try to find ones with better condition boxes.
@@neo_ness Thanks. I recently noticed that the leather started to crack on the inner side of the spine so that is very annoying, I suppose those cheaper softcase titles are the way to go. There are aftermarket AES cases but that impacts the authencity of the collection.
Yeah I try to see if someone sells a small lot of empty soft cases and pick those up. In a perfect world I would use snap cases for those soft case inserts but they are slightly larger and don’t fit.
2021 got me into investing, I had owned property before then but never got into the markets. 2021 I got rekt in stocks, crypto you name it. But I learned my lesson and have been gradually putting money into the markets for the past few years whilst still buying games every now and then. It’s really starting to pay off!
That’s great to hear that you learned from trading mistakes and stayed consistent. Too many times I hear new traders quitting after a few losses. Congrats on staying on the grind and seeing profits!
I resell shoes 150k in sales I work on the side . I thrift my video games at goodwill best game I’ve found is Pokémon colosseum bonus disc paid $5 Go to flea markets every weekends I found silent hill 1 for $5. I also go to estate sale for games and clothes
Very nice!!!! You are doing it right. You have a good business plan bringing in a good income and you are going to places and finding quality games for the best prices. 🙌🏾
@@neo_ness Just started GameCube recently little over year ago have about 20 plus games or so all from thirfting or estate sales. I try to stick within my limits cause games add up even the small dollar amount . Right now I’m adding all my games to GAMEYE to see what I have and the stuff I don’t care much about I’m trade or list on market place as lot to fund some more games. Perfect time to buy ps3 and Xbox 360 games. Right now I’m trying get few remanding titles that I need then I’ll probably move on to another system The Simpson the game Dragonball budokai HD Collection 50 cent blood in the sand
I saw that too. Stocks up for GameStop. How could this be?!? I get money for my games/golden age horror comics, from my profession that I used to have as a teenager and young adult.
Yeah from the looks of it retail traders activated a few weeks ago and between them and financial institutions price has been all over the place. That's awesome the profession has helped with building the games and comics!
I was always told that if you want to start investing, just go online and see what our senators/congressman have just recently invested into. It’s not a guarantee by any means but I’m sure there is a sprinkle of insider baseball going on there.
That’s great man, interesting video! I don’t invest but I saved, I’m retired for good at 47. I buy games but I don’t budget lol, and I only buy what I want to have or sentimental games. Ultimately though I’ll be downsizing and selling everything as we have plans to live in Italy in the next few years. I plan on keeping some of my smaller systems, minis and the switch. My gaming won’t be like it is now as we will be exploring a lot during our days out there. As much as I love to collect and game, life is short and there’s places to see and food to eat lol!
Retired at 47 is awesome! Nothing wrong with downsizing the collection especially for a chance to live abroad and loving life. I agree with you life is too short live everyday to the fullest and eating great food!
@@adaptordieai I looked into it when they first announced it, but it just didn't intrigue me enough to pre order. I did preorder Final Vendetta from Bitmap that is looking really good to me.
I’m nowhere near a full set with NGPC. If I find them while I’m out and about at retro stores and they are priced right I’ll generally pick them up. I haven’t really prioritized going for a set yet.
@@neo_ness you really should! 📈 Prices haven't moved much in 4 years but availability is very scarce. Lots of analogue pocket owners are just branching into NGPC and with a set size of only 30 CIB and 32 total games, many who get started fall into full set collecting. Nice system to collect by buying lots and saving a bit instead of buying each title individually, and then selling or trading your dupes.
Yeah that’s a good logic for sure on buying lots. I may look into that here in a few weeks once I get settled with all the moving stuff. I appreciate the tip! 🙌🏾
@NeoNess I guess they have no choice they're the only video game franchise thats actually still alive but i still consirder buying from indepinadent game stores. >yeah the 2 misspelled words🤣
Let’s goooooo 💪 GME GameStop won’t stop 🚀

Definitely great to think about. I’ve been lucky enough to find those deals and be able to afford most of what I want.
For sure! I've seen some of the awesome stuff you find and are able to acquire, that's great you have been able to find some quality deals. 😎
It's cool to see you're a bit of a money nerd like myself. Congrats on that Gamestop trade.
Thanks! Yeah I'm a money nerd lol.
Good vid! And good reminder to keep peaking and keeping on eye on this kind of stuff.
Thanks! For sure always have to stay on the grind.
I'm definitely in the sale/ thrifting camp. I really enjoy hunting for deals. Using stocks to fund collecting is so smart.
Great video thx for the financial advice lol that’s cool you were part of the 2021 GameStop run 😅thx for sharing your story
Thanks for watching!
