That's a wild collection. I have 35 AES carts, but it's been a long time since I added a new one. If I wanted to sell some of my other console games, I could go for the set, but I'm just not a collector at heart- I just like to play. Still love seeing an awesome collection like yours, though. I once owned a NEOGEO AES, and MVS, but had to sell them about 23 years ago, unfortunately. I owned maybe about the same amount of titles, among them (as AES) all Fatal Fury episodes, including Garou, both The Last Blade, Samurai Shodown 2&4, Art of Fighting 1-3, KoF 1995-2001, Metal Slug 1-3. Gangan (Aggressors of Dark Combat), Wind Jammers, Soccer Brawl, Viewpoint, Ninja Masters, Karnov’s Revenge, World Heroes Perfect, Magician Lord, Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, Sengoku 3, Blazing Star, Double Dragon… On MVS I had Shock Troopers 1, Prehistoric Isle, Pulstar… In 2012 as shooter named GunlordX was released for NEOGEO MVS, and Dreamcast. It‘s now available on other platforms. You don‘t wanna miss that.
It sounds like you had a killer collection! I'll definitely check out that Gunlord X I've seen it a few times I just haven't done any research on it. I appreciate the recommendation.
@ GunlordX is heavily inspired by a jump‘n‘shoot series called Turrican. First one was released in the 80ies on Commodore 64, a little later on Amiga 500. Some ports and extra episodes made it to Genesis/Mega Drive, and SNES. If you like the genre I also heavily recommend the Turrican Anthology 1&2, available on PC, Xbox, PS and afaik the Switch.

The fact that the time was actually taken to even make this awesome conversion is what i appreciate the most because it's a fantastic game that should of been an official AES release. I appreciate it! My copy of Crossed Swords 2 has CS1 music incorporated in it. From what I researched he had issues getting CS2 music put on this version so decided to just use the first games music. I agree with you its a fantastic game and was really well done for the AES.

Ive been looking at comic book restorations before getting graded and ive seen them heat pressing the book. It should work for inserts for games aswell. Have you looked in to this? I have a couple of warped mega drive covers i would love to do something about!
I’ve been doing some research. I’ve tried on low end game inserts and I’ve had mixed results. I would like to get to a point where I get inserts close to good condition again

I have 28 Janaese AES games complete in box and I have three things I tell people when it comes to my love for the Neo Geo. 1. I actually spend less money when I buy Neo Geo when compared to other cheaper consoles because it’s easier to notice what you’re spending when you buy an expensive game while buying a lot of cheaper games you can lose track of what you’ve actually spent. 2. I love arcade games so it’s right up my alley and I’d rather have an amazing arcade game that I’m gonna play over and over and learn to master than a bleh game for cheaper that I’ll never look at again. 3. I had an abusive relationship many years ago and my ex messed me up mentally as well as drain me financially in the process…buying for Neo Geo AES is less money than what my ex put me through. 😂

Kizuna not being genuine is totally understandable, but these days I'd use an original mvs cart with converter instead of sacing. I have 1 in my collection, but that's before converters actually got good.

It's such a pure an amazing collection without having to make the disclaimer. I know you're going for all the English releases but you ever change to just North American.....Kizuna, Ultimate 11, Double Dragon and Puzzled wasn't released in the states. Yeah, I only met one person who had a Neo Geo growing up. Never got to play it during that time. They were a bit older so they could afford it, but none of the kids I gamed with one. That was our assumption too that they had to be millionaire children.
Maybe a stupid question. Do Neo Geo AES carts have the ability to save or are there memory cards for the system? I realize the games are arcade rooted and therefore short play throughs but scoring is a big deal for most of these games and would want to be able to save high scores.
Not stupid at all. Surprisingly enough the Neo Geo AES was the first video game console to use a memory card. You could play at home and save on your memory card and then take it to the arcade and insert them into the MVS arcade cabinets to continue your saved game play pretty cool concept back then.

I'm still the only person who knows how to play Kizuna Encounter correctly because I have the instruction manual!
For some reason my version has some kind of paint used. I’ve tried alcohol, dry erase makers, even a very small amount of acetone to see if it would eat it away and no luck. The cart and manual I safely got it off. Just not the case
