Thank you. Last week I built a very simple rolling tool cart. About 6 feet in length. Gets the generator. Vacuum cleaner and air compressor off the floor. A lot easier to move. I put a deck on top not necessarily as a workbench but for additional storage. One of those items being a sliding miter saw. My wife was in the room while I was watching the video and asked where would we find the brackets. I'm going to be building a sewing/craft cabinet for her that will have a folding extension and she thought these would work great, so I followed the link you provided to Amazon and showed them to her. Thanks for the video Colin.
I really like this idea. I think you could also put a knob on the bottom of the plate and add a flip-up stop to the outside of the rounded board, which would let you have an extended stop block for making uniform repeated cuts on longer boards. You would set your distance from the blade to the flip-up stop and lock it in place with the knob.
You should consider adding a sliding back stop options on the far side of the pine board. Something you could spin around to go over the rounded bit to stop the wood... then you would also want a way to clamp it so it can't move. Seems like an easy addition that would be useful.

This is a great and simple addition to your mitre stand, but I cannot help but point out that you missing one very useful addition and that's the incorporation of a simple flip-up stop to allow for cutting repeatable lengths. It can still be added, but you would need to also need to ensure that the block doesn't move (which could be done easily with a hand screw). I'd love to see you what your solution would look like!

Most mitre saw tables include a fence on the folding extension. Do you find that unnecessary? I'm very new to woodworking and learn so much from your videos, thank you!
Built this yesterday. Very happy with the results. I’ll remove my sliders, space is that tight. Plus my station is mobile and I envision myself knocking and breaking them moving it about.

Great video and idea!! My first thought was to add another slider with a taller piece of wood as a stop that you can clamp for repeatable cuts.

Yeah, when I saw the first pic, I thought they were stops not supports but the support idea is really good.
I had this same thought. When I get around to building my miter saw stand, I’m going to implement this system and make some stops as well.
