Video is very good, though the start of the tension of the mains, there will be a bit tension loss. there's no reason for the clamp to be this far from the frame of the racquet.
I don’t think those knots are good for starting knots. Also, why are the clamps so far from the frame? You’re losing some tension on every pull that way.
Can I get some feedback on this knot procedure? goo.gl/eUmwY1 m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1827493740596060&id=100000063547364 th-cam.com/video/0A8USAdUZtE/w-d-xo.html
So far the best video to learn, nice and clean- thank you. Why do you need to weave two crosses before you pull tension, isn't the same as just weaving one cross then pull tension?
The reason is because it is easier to weave when you do it that way because you are already following the woven pattern of the cross that has already been pulled which means you can just glide instead of going the opposite way when you weave one cross. I also used the Wilson Baiardo at my old job and man that machine is a beast! I can string 3 racquets/hr with grips and or bumper changes!
Its for the purpose of straightening the strings. Main strings have the tendency to run towards the middle and the crosses towards the neck of the racquet. Main strings are the best to be fixed by hand, as shown in the video. For the crosses both hands and this too work great. You can see in the video how the crosses are being pulled a bit up using this ool. Its totally fine if you straighten all strings using fingers, I would say this tool is for stringers who string a lot of racquets and thus want to preserve their fingers
Is there a reason why I shouldn’t skip a pull? I string at 50lbs so I set the tension head to 51 and skip a pull; both main and cross. I get it done faster and at the end of the day it feels the same. Any technical reason not to do it?
If it feels good to you, then do it. However by pulling two strings at a time, you will not get accurate tension due to friction at the grommets among a lot of other things :)
I see so many different settings stringers use for increasing the tension of the string that a knot will be tied on. Some do 10 percent. some do 20, some do certain pounds or kilos. So why even bother? You do not hit the ball on the outside mains or top or bottom cross. So I may lose a little tension on those strings but that is worse than going up in tension with arbitrary amount? I think the knot feature is pushed by those using 4k and up machines for pros that think they will be able to tell the difference.
Stringing 4 mains then going to the other side to do all mains on the other side is acceptable and used for tournament stringing. I never saw a flying clamp used in the video. You must be confusing the starting clamp. It is a safe practice to use especially if you are stringing natural gut or multifilliment strings.
Way too advanced for a beginner. "You don't have to preweave for a hybrid pattern"?.."use the starting clamp to fortify the first pull"?. This video is for people already stringing that need tips but completely too vague and lacking detail for any beginner.
Best part of the video is the smile at the end!
best stringing tutuorial I've seen. Thank you, got me through my first racquet!
Probably the best demo on TH-cam

Best stringing tutorial.Thanks.
Wilson pro knot. That’s what it looks like 👍 .That location is it the USTA national campus?

so why arent you using the diablo?
Looks like they're stringing a poly. Diablos are really only necessary for more delicate strings like natural gut.
Aaah that machine is so nice
Why do you in the mains straight to the tension en by the crosses over the little circle before
why would you want to tie a knot so early in the crosses, since you can just leave the clamp there till u´ve done enough stringing to end the racquet?
It doesn't really matter if you do it early or at the end. I do it early on the slight chance that my starting clamp slips or I bump it or something.
@Alan Kakinami those machines don't, but even stringing on a manual, I'm able to adjust tension for the knot pull. I do use manual machine.
Where do you buy the string clamp?
where buy stringing clamps
never undertand the last action with the iron tool saw it in an other video wimbleton stringers
I string myself can you tell me the purpose thx

ok clear, nice video very instructive thx
а сколько струны отмерила на поперечную натяжку?
what is the tool used to tie the knot?
Looks like to me it was a starting clamp
It is not being used as intended in the video.

Nice!!
You don't do 4 strings one side then 4 the other. You string either side alternately. Also why use a flying clamp which isn't necessary..

@Alan Kakinami Today most all tournament stringing teams use the 4,8,4 method. Back 8 to 10 years ago it was 3, 6, 5, 2.
