I just came across your channel the other day. You are one of the best at explaining things. Subscribed to your channel today. Thanks for all the helpful videos.
Really appreciate that. I can talk forever about this stuff.
Just found yesterday’s and couldn’t agree more
I was sitting in the end of the video waiting for bloopers :) What a way to give back!!! AWESOME! All in!
Glad I had the giveaway I had only one blooper and I left it in the video.
Thanks for the info Keav, I’m starting a mobile detailing business and your videos have been awesome for guys like me on an extremely limited budget.
Appreciate that. We got lots of good stuff coming for the budget minded.
Excellent tutorial!
I’ve learned from the best. Thank you Yvan and Nick. I might just grow a mustache! 🤣
Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us with great informational content!! I appreciate YOU!!
Believe it or not I could talk about this forever. 🤣 Makes for a lot editing getting that 3 hours of video down to less than 30 minutes.
Awesome stuff for the little guy like myself, really appreciate the great content you provide to us,keep doing what you do.
You’re Welcome
Keav is top notch. Excellent breakdown.
Appreciate that Anna!
Keav, thanks for putting this video together and for all of the outstanding content you produce. This was extremely helpful and could not have come at a better time, especially the information about the M22 15" to 14" Adaptor for Active pressure washers. I just ordered that adaptor for my new setup. A few days ago, I ordered the Active 2.0 pressure washer, Active stubby gun, McKillian's Extension Wand, MJCC Foam Cannon Pro 2.0, Twinkle Star Pressure Washer Adapter & Quick Disconnect Kit (Brass), and 50' Uberflex Hose.
Active 2.0 is using the 14mm. The VE52 runs a 15mm. Hopefully You can cancel that order in time.
@@CarsWithKeav Thank you! Will do.
Teflon Tape is my friend, got it! Great video this helped me with my fittings that I bought through out your other videos. Grats on the 10k glad I've been here for the ride as well!
Thanks and you can never have enough Teflon tape that’s for sure.
Highly under-rated video keav. Problem for most is getting hold of the spares, I would suggest everyone just by Karcher, cheapest spares and availability too - for Europe
In Europe at least you got the 230v and your machines perform so much better at lower amp. I’m so jealous of that.
@CarsWithKeav Karcher do make 110v Machines for professionals here too. Not cheap. Think Tesla has gotten that too with the 48v truck, you need smaller lighter cables with higher voltage and lower current. Think it's going to be the new car standard instead of 12v, Monroe was suggesting on TH-cam.
This was a great video Keav! Although I already have a good setup, it was interesting to see all the different options that you illustrated. Thank you.
Appreciate the kind words!
I was always wondering how to connect the aftermarket hose with my Karcher K5 pressure washer. This video helped me allot. Thanx Keav 👍
Hope it helps I have heard alot of Karcher products you can’t upgrade.
I got all my detailing accessories thanks to Keav.
Awesome!
That’s great 10K🎉congrats buddy
Thank You
Great video great information I just bought a power washer and this is all new to me so thank you for making this very informative video
You’re welcome
Agreed most of the stock hoses are trash. Great video covering everything you need to upgrade your pressure washer system
Thx bro!
Very interesting and well explained, thank you. All the way from small island of Mauritius.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Great video. Thanks for putting it together. I was actually just looking for a 90 degree m22 fitting. I have limited space beside my garage door to the wall. 12 inches depth. I have to be conscious of anything sticking out there and risking it getting hit. That 90 degree will be a big help. Working on finding the smallest hose reel I can find now. So far, 12 inches is about it and that should work. Just spending more time looking for smaller ones.
The general pump 50ft has a small footprint. I have a small area for my wash setup. I spent a good bit of time trying to find elbows that would work and this is the best I could find. Not cheap though that’s for sure. That elbow is high quality though.
Great video! Helped me tremendously to upgrade my pressure washer
Thank you!
Awesome explanation for it all. I know I appreciate it. I'm not on Instagram. Good luck to everyone!
Thanks
Great content as always!!! Thanks for all the work you put into these vids!!!
Thanks and we have a lot more to come.
Great video. I've seen other videos over the years, including your previous one. This has plenty of info and all variations of what someone would need to upgrade their pressure washer setup.
I'll add, for lower gpm units like the Ryobi the only thing I would've mentioned for the foam cannon upgrade would be the 1.1mm orifice. Great content. I entered the giveaway.
I was going to mention that, but video was already running long. I’ll be doing a foam cannon video kind of like this just going over everything from best foam to how to clean them.
That's very true, it was one of the first things I noticed before watching. It's one of your longest videos in some time but it didn't feel too long.
Though I'll admit, I did miss the bloopers at the end. Lol
Looking forward to this foam cannon video. That will be another good one.
Hey brother anyway you know the size for a elbow fitting for the reel and for the connection for a ryobi pressure washer as well both elbow for the whip hose ?
Fitting on the reel would be 3/8 npt and Ryobi hose uses m22 14mm
good info, i just got an extention that has to much play. It doesnt leak but it feels off.
Sometimes the Quick disconnects across different companies don’t always work together. Mosmatic for instance their QD connections don’t work in others.
@@CarsWithKeav yeah, they are different companies, it’s essential, which seems like a quality product made in America.
Great vid brother! 👏🏽
Thx bro
Hey I ordered the quick connect fittings to shorten the original gun but it works good. Hey I look at the video but I didn’t see the connector to make it swivel at the bottom do you have the link
This would be the swivel amzn.to/3Xt558n are you looking to swivel a stock gun or a short gun? Most don't do that, but it can be done. the investment is basically what a decent swivel gun itself would cost. There are some swivel guns that are $20 such as this one that has the same connection as a stock gun. amzn.to/3RvZavv
Great content! I’ve got a sun joe pressure washer and have quick connects for my Uber flex hose and MTM hub. What is the best QC to use for my garden hose to attach to my sun Joe pressure washer. Does it need a specific adapter
Should just be Garden Hose connections. This would do well in brass form for cheaper amzn.to/4bbwUqk or the high quality stainless here amzn.to/47NMGEM Thanks for watching!
@@CarsWithKeav appreciate it! thanks for steering a weekend warrior in the right direction! 🙏🏻
@Cars with Keav 😀👋💪
What can be done when de 20" angled wand does not connect with the quick connect properly?
Specifically when it does not lock into place.
Thank you for the help!🔥
Biggest problem I have found in the last few years of trying out all this stuff is some quick connects do not work well with others. It’s always advised to have the same brand so they fit. I have a few that will connect to some, but connect to others.
@@CarsWithKeav Thank you!
Awesome video. Great explanation. I recently got the ego 3200psi machine. It works well and looks amazing. However, the oem gun comes with a 3/8" quick connect instead of a 1/4" one. The only 1/4 quick connect is at the far end of the wand, which makes using "normal" foam cannons practically impossible. Really confused why it's designed that way.
I've spent hours googling yet i still can't find a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter or any walkaround solutions (it doesn't make sense if there's no solution).
Now although I'm tending to get either sgs28 or the og spec gun, it's quite a pity to give up the wirless control and battery indicator on the oem gun. (Btw the oem foam cannon is much better than the "foam guns" that come with some other machines.)
How did you get one of those? I can’t find anybody selling them that isn’t saying it’s a pre-order. I want to review one for sure and figure out the upgrade path.
@CarsWithKeav I got it from Lowe's, in stock at a store 45 minutes away. Their website of the $799 kit didn't have the charger on any of the pictures or description, so I had to visit the store in person to make sure. Turns out it does include the charger like other distributors.
@@Zpiet820 I just ordered one from Lowe’s. Dang that’s expensive, but I don’t have any batteries. I just saw them on Amazon as well with no batteries for $450. I put out a review as soon as I can.
@@CarsWithKeav can't wait for it!!
Great detailed video! I have the Chemical Guys ProFlow washer, CG Snubby gun, CG big mouth cannon. I bought the Flexzilla hose and quick connectors kit. I’m I able to connect this all up or is the CG products proprietary connections?
From other videos I have seen the from Quick Connect is not proprietary just the connection at the gun. If you have the right connectors it should work.
@@CarsWithKeav thanks for replying. I will need to look into it a bit more and see what connection changes i need to make.
Howdy, thank you for your content. I just lately started tuning into your channel.
I have well water, will the filtration system you are showing work for well water?
I'm sure you probably did a video in the past addressing Well water..
It will work with well water, but usually it’s higher in ppm which would lessen the lifespan of the DI Resin. Many people run two filter setups one for sediment and carbon for chemicals then the DI resin for spot free. Those with higher ppm tend to run much bigger filters and tanks since they have to replace more often. A reverse Osmosis system is also an option for well water.
@@CarsWithKeav thank you for taking the time to respond, I will look into your suggestions!!! Thank you very much!!
I have the simoniz version of the active ve52 and am a bit confused on how to get a quick connect for the garden hose. Is it m22 15mm on the unit? And what would I need for the garden hose?
Garden hose should be standard 3/4 GHT (Garden Hose Thread) and the same on all pressure washers. The pressure washer side is where it is different and is 15mm M22. Simoniz is Canadian I think so not sure if garden hoses are a different size there. Any garden QD should work, but I suggest the ones that are brass and have large inside diameter for good water flow.
Are you not doing your two stage water filters anymore? Or is the budget deioniztaion just the better option
I was just using the DI setup as an example for the connections. The two stage would be the exact same connection setup. I would still use with a cart as the DI setup is smaller. For my wall setup I just run a CR Spotless and let the resin do all the filtering. This would all depend on your water quality. Mine is good enough the two stage is not needed as much.
Buddy im starting into pressure washer and im eyeing on the bigboi washr pro do you know what is the size of the end of the gun the quick release where your nozzle tip goes
Those will always be 1/4 inch quick connects for the nozzles.
@@CarsWithKeav so the nozzle tip connector is 1/4?
@@henrysilos7343 Yes, just about all nozzles are a standard 1/4 inch and the ones that come with the Big Boi Pro are 1/4 inch.
Bro, because of you I have completely upgraded my garage, and I'm a promaster in quick disconnects now! Is your channel on social media anywhere, like FB
Wives everywhere hate me because of this. 🤣 I’m in Facebook and Insta. Think I talked to you already on FB.
@Cars With Keav yea bro, I found you on fb after posting this, and I totally forgot about this post 😃🤦 I'm glad we could finally chat 🤜🤛
Loved the video by the way. Thank you 👊
Really appreciate that!
Plumer Dope is a must
It’s good stuff.
Oh man at one point I got a couple of hose reels and 3/8 hoses and I put them together to sell on marketplace man! Fitting on those hoses on the reel was a pain!
The one thing I dread more than a stock Ryobi hose is hooking up a 3/8 to a hose reel. 🤣
Have you (or anyone reading this) had any experience with the Flexzilla garden hoses with the 1/2in quick connects built in? I'm concerned on how well they work if you are not using the Flexzilla 1/2in adapters.
I have not heard of 1/2 inch quick connects. Usually no matter the size of the garden hose whether it’s 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 or even an inch they all use industry standard 3/4 threads. I would assume the quick connects would be the industry standard for that as well. Just looked at one on Amazon and think the quick connects can be removed giving you a regular garden hose thread.
@@CarsWithKeav sorry, I meant the 1/2 hose with quick connects. I live directly across from a water tower so pressure is not usually an issue so I did just order one of the hoses. We'll see how well it does, and if those plastic quick connects are any good.
Just came across your channel great explanation. If you were to up grade what way would you go in my position? active or still stay gravity? I’m just starting out and just found out my system is backwards. I bought a ryobi 2100psi 2.1gpm. I’m just wondering if I should just by a harbor freight transfer pump and call it a day, or change my PW. And which way to go. I have a 125gal tank. I noticed when I did a test ran on my f250 I went through quite a bit of water. Which I was surprised I put 60 gal of di water and I went down to around 30-25 gal after that. I have the Uber flex hose already if I go active I would have to also change my fittings or If I down grade to a ryobi 1800 psi. I’ve been told I should be ok gravity. But I do have 2.5’ of pvc coming of the tank and a y splitter to the pw with about 2-2.5’ of hose if I had to put the pw on the ground from the trailer for gravity. And 2’ hose for bucket fill ups. running on a 3500 inverter generator. I just don’t want to waste money go the wrong way. Which I can go the active route and just pay that expensive later or home depot has the 1800 for 89 bucks right now.
You can gravity feed an Active it just depends on the flow. Ryobi is a good route as well nothing Erin with their PW. When I do DI system testing I store the water in a 500 gallon water bladder and use an RV pump to bring it into my active. Pump was about $60 and can flow 5gpm. I love the active, but the Ryobi is a good buy as well and saves you money needed elsewhere. If this is a mobile detail setup I would stick with the Ryobi as the warranty is good and the Active is known to not last long when being abused daily.
@@CarsWithKeav yes it’s a mobile set up. Should I down grade to the smaller ryobi unit? I don’t want to be in the middle of a wash/detail and water starts to become a problem due to gravity. Trying to start something with my kid. Teach them young.
Right now I believe I got about 15 gallons and the Ryobi is struggling to the point where it doesn’t even pressurize the system. I know I may have a twist or turn in the hose that may be slowing it up but if I’m getting down to that little water then it’s just concerns me
@@DJMEDIC671 Really need to understand the gravity feed and how much flow it is doing to know if you would have problems. If you are flowing twice what the pressure washer needs you should be okay. I myself am not much of an expert in gravity feed. I have never used one before. I have only pumped water.
@@DJMEDIC671 If the Ryobi is struggling the Active would be even worse. Might have to think about running a pump or getting the gravity feed higher. Too bad no reputable company really makes a self priming pressure washer that isn't battery powered. Wouldn't need gravity or a pump with one of those.
Thx for putting all this together
You’re welcome
Great video Keav hard to hear you though the audio could be a lot better.
You mean just louder? I did do a different lens this time that has to be further away and mix is on the camera. I used my normal audio settings on the edit. I could have bumped up the overall volume. Let me know and I’ll work on it.
Keav, Great video excellent information!
Thank You
Still way over my head! I just want to buy the Uberflex or flexzilla to upgrade my Nilfisk C120.6 and I can’t find anywhere what connectors I need for it to fit!
I wish I could help, but I am not familiar with the connections used in Europe. I checked the pictures and they are connections I have not really seen before.
I'm looking to save for a nice electric pressure washer to syst my detailing business. Not sure what to get. The one your giving away how is that one?
It’s good, but longevity for a detailing business it’s not quite there. AR 630 would be where I would start as it’s serviceable and meant for
Commercial use. Active VE56 is a residential enthusiast product, but I know several that use it in mobile detailing and love it. Their Active 2.0 is more detailer focused and has twice the life. So it’s buy the long term unit or buy 3 Active 2.0 for the same price. Tough decision actually.
@@CarsWithKeav I'll do some research on those two. Thank you for your feedback and help. I appreciate it. Helps out tons. Ty
@@james-dt4ei I'm looking into buying the Active 2.0 or AR 630 next week. What did you end up with and how do you like it?
I have found problems finding answers to my problem... So, I have a 1650 psi and 1,5 gpm pressure washer but im unsure if i can use a 1.1 orifice on my foam cannon. Is it safe for the motor or am i putting stress on it?
Can you give me the name brand and model or the link you bought it from? Normally 1.5gpm you should be safe with a 1.1 orifice. Only way to really know is with an amp meter to make sure it doesn’t go higher than what the machine is rated for. I use this one it’s $11 amzn.to/46DgZ1S
@@CarsWithKeav I Use a Parkside 170 D2 Model. Working pressure is around 1650 psi and max is 2450. Max Gpm states to be 2.1 ish (500l/h) and lowest states 1.32 gpm (330l/h). I came across a vid of someone measuring the machines actual working gpm at around 1.58 (360l/h) which is pretty far from the max imo
@@CarsWithKeav Wanted an opinion cuz i struggle to find a clear one about the damage it could do. I want to have good foam but i dont want to hurt the motor at the same time
@@mxstic_7797 I see this looks to be European it’s not available in the U.S., but looks like it’s a 230 volt electric plug? If it is then you should have no issue running a 1.1 as the 230v would use much less amps than in the U.S. on our 110v system.
@@CarsWithKeav i meant stressing it by reducing the gpm below the minimum that is stated considering the low working gpm
Excellent video, thanks !!
Thank you
Great video. Well explained
Thanks You
Can someone explain why you would want a shut off for your water supply at the pressure washer? Whats the use case for that? To me it makes no sense. Sounds like more of a liability to forget to turn it back on and run the pump dry immediately
If your pressure washer is 20 feet away from the spigot you can turn the water on and off without having to walk all the way to the house. If you turn it on and off at the house wouldn’t you have the same possibility of forgetting to turn it on/off then too? This way you bring the hose to pressure washer with the water already running then hook it up and go. No walking back to the spigot to turn it on and then walk back again.
Perfect timing.
I’ve been sitting on it while building the website too. Sorry your pressure washer broke, but it’s just a good excuse to upgrade.
Would the average plumber know how to hook up that system?
They should they would be very familiar with the NPT thread sizes they might now know a lot about the pressure washer fittings, but I’m sure they could figure out easily.
@@CarsWithKeav how big is your garage?
@@gearlstrickland3365 garage area is around 300 sq ft. 16x20. Total garage about 450 so when it’s really hot or cold I use the vinyl curtain to separate sides so my split A/C only has the 300 sq ft to heat and cool.
