    I don't plan on learning Swedish, I just wanted to know what swedes eat, but my goodness does everyone need a teacher like you when learning a language. Your pronunciation isn't too fast and you explain things so thoroughly that often aren't explained, like pronunciation rules. I wish you could teach me Spanish, lol!

    Fun fact about about Kalles kaviar. It uesd to be the mame. Due to EU rules its no longer aloud to be cald caviar because the amount of caviar is only half of the continent.
    In order to be called caviar in EU it needs to be 100% roe from fish.
    You will not find the word "kaviar" on the tube it just say Kalles Orginal

    So cherry is sorta like cherry berry tomato... Again in german: kirsch: beere: tomaten... So i get it. It's sorta cool💁 sometimes I feel like I understand things without even knowing what you're saying. And my first language is actually English! I was a german teacher for a while.

    What about "kex"? We pronounce the K as it is! Why is that?

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Good question! It is one of the exceptions but some people actually say "shex" so you can hear both versions (k-sound or a sh-sound). I think "sheks" is more common in Göteborg.

    Saw someone react to your content and i had to come in and clarify something. Estrella is not proncounced and should never be pronounced as if it would be spanish. Estrella is originally a Swedish brand and Estrella is a name, not a spanish word in this situation.

    I wish they did this on the learnswedish.se. maybe its kust me or...i have adblocker on or i dont know what but all i see are the quizzes and i feel so lost trying to do it that way. Its like getting tossed into the middle of a bunch of swedes who refuse to speak English and i have no idea how to ask them for even a glass of watter.

    • @FunSwedish
      @FunSwedish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a whole school of thought that believes that you have to only explain Swedish using Swedish and that you cant use other languages at all. So that might be the reason.
      We believe that in the beginning, it is faster to start by explaining things in English. :)

    I have traveled a lot but sadly not to Sweden, yet. However, I found for me, the most important question to learn in any language is; where is the toilet? Ladies? Men’s? I’d like to know how to ask in Swedish. Please.
