The way Andy plays the guitar is like everything you dream of when you start playing as a kid
Where is Joe?
Andy's solo part from 20:15 is so ridiculously good, it literaly makes me laughing like a maniac. The final climax is so overpowering, I barely know what to say.
Also... the saxophone solo is indescribable. I dare to say: those who don't feel it, have no soul.
Andy extremely inspired here!
I'm a big Gilbert fan from way back even to the Racer X days, but Andy's note choices and phrasing are just unreal. Even when he plays quickly, which he doesn't always do, the notes are not sequential scale runs but phrases and motives moved to different parts of the neck. The scariest part is that Andy is improvising and playing with his eyes closed while doing so more than 3/4 of the time. Amazing and this was 1997!!! He is even better now IMHO and chooses his notes even more wisely. Thanks for posting this one. Really, really inspiring!
I agree, but for me the big problem with Timmons is his composition. His playing is always A1, but his songs are usually totally forgettable.
mymentor really? I disagree. Andy's riffs are quite memorable as I get orgasms ever time I hear them loool
@@andrewjenkinson8948 bad take. I like his compositions. The problem is kids listening to simplistic rap nonsense.
Oh my goodness!
Andy was on fire! It was his day!
What a performance!
Everyone is killing it no doubt and everyone loves talking about guitarists, but that saxophone player is smooth like a baby’s bottom.
This concert introduced me to Andy Timmons and he's been one of my top influences since.
+TheRealMXR5150 danger danger introduced me to him :)
Hey same! Andy is such a monster!
me too
Same here🙋♂️
And been listening to him since.
Andy Timmons definitely did steal the show that night !
More than 15 years watching thís, have rained a lot, but nothing above Andy's humbucker, he mades me love Ibanez
My introduction to Andy, this video. Jungle Eyes and Cry for You are just epic.
That first track is fusion heaven.
ANDY WINS!!!!!
If anyone is interested in hearing more of Andy's playing, check out Simon Phillips' " Out of The Blue " CD which is a live disc of Simon's music featuring Andy. Great player!
The phrasing of Andy is incredible, looks record before, amazing
that sax player stole the show
love that fusion stuff Andy was doing. Came here to see Paul Gilbert but got totally blown away by Andy Timmons.. what the hell
+Cerebral Landscapes- as you should. now go and spread the news.
( Came here to see Paul Gilbert but got totally blown away by Andy Timmons) me too, but in 2005 ...
Immortal classic video from the times of file sharing networks before TH-cam existed... Videos like these were stored like precious gold 🙏🙏🤘
Andy Timmons left me speechless , depressed yet more determined at the same time ! Thank you Andy , you motivate me to practice harder !
holy fuck. 3 of my favorite all-time guitarrists.
Steve and Andy is still with his character, only Paul that changed a lot since then
Was an Andy fan ever since I came across this.. 2006 to be precise. What amazing musicality!
Track Two: Superlative, respectful, supreme.
Good golly Miss Molly Andy Timmons.
Both huge fan of Vai & Timmons.
Vai is more like the composer type, his recording works are tremendously good.
Andy is no doubt the jam session king.
Damn!!! Andy timmons was amazing.😎🎯
Andy's pitch Harmonics, Steve's broken string solo, Paul's pinky.. Ah wish I was there!
Drummer is a legend himself. Noone other than Simon Phillips.
Very strong performance by the band on the first song, and then just legendary performance on the second
Andy on Red Rooster is killer !
24:30 heavenly
Andy Timmons, my favorite, unfortunately, the only one I haven't seen live :(
Been a guitar player all my life but recently turned on o Andy Timmons. SO versatile! Track 1 sounds very Al DiMeola 'ish.... Love it.
Andy is quite obviously one the the best living guitar players out there with epic mountains of feel and tone.
I'm sure at the time, people knew little of andy compared to the others. What a surprise they were in for. What a lucky crowd.
Never have I seen Andy crush soo hard!!! ❤❤❤
Wow i really need to watch some more andy timmons he sounded fucking awesome
Andy is DEFINETELY GOD !!!!!!
PAUL GILBERT IS SIMPLY THE KING OF GUITAR, AS I HAVE ALWYAS BEEN SAYING HE IS THE TREASURE OF THE WORLD
Andy Timmons is the best!
Super best Andy Timmons & Steve Vai....great!!!!
Simon's drum sound is what i dream of!
Also what i love about andy timmons back then was he always slipped in some jazz stuff in his playing like chromaticism etc, it sounds exotic af yet melodic
Andy Timmons :D
Paul Gilbert :D
Steve Vai :D
and rest... great musicians :D
Amazing concert !!

Is just unbelivable the quality of this whole show...the harmony between timmons and vai, Simon, the keyboard ALL in the place ! Paul Gilbert cracking asses with a Nice f hole and a suit haha. Omg the ending of the songs, intros, solos...bah was a Magic show.
Powerhead is AMAZING with a sax solo that omg and Steve Vai dominating nicely the bar😏... Cry For You (no words)
So much good energy here. The flow or WTF happened that night was truly rare and unique...enjoy my friends🍷
Andy Timmons jan ra umum !!! 🙂

Wow Andy Come on man!
andy timmons el mejor...!
... when Andy stole the show... 😎🎸☇
¡¡¡¡¡BRAAVOOOOO!!!! ¡¡¡¡¡¡WOOOOOO00000ooooooo.......
Andy the best!
Andy 🔥
Totally agree and I'm a Steve fan
All day and all of the night. Yeeaahhhh!!!
yessssssssssssssssss
El solo de power Head es genial!!!! Mater vai !!!!!!!!!
Mantap
FERAS NA GUITARRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SEMPRE CLASSE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
andy timmons is great.
Timmons is awesome
fuck..andy's fusion chops kills everyone. 97 and simon phillips is rocking drum and bass beats.
very nice video \m/
Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andy Timmons the best
Andy's incredible talent is most obviousely if you here him play together with such icons like Vai and Gilbert.I have been a big fan from PG and SV, but Timmons is clearly above them both.
Many notes. Many, many notes.
andy timmons, paul gilbert, steve vai U ARE GRAZY PLAYING GITAR MASTER WORLD
Andy timmons wins at life.
Timmons steals the show!
Andy Timmons guitar tone is outstanding.
May I say that his guitar playing approach is very similar than that of Eric Johnson´s ?.
+Gerardo Erak He has mentioned Johnson was a big influence in his search for that smooth tone
*****
-_-
? I don't get it, maybe at first you were being ironic then? Just thought of confirming it. Cheers
+Rodrigo Luís Rodrigues da Silva
I just want to let you know that I read your comment.
👍
That look on Steve Vai's face at 20:58 when he seem to think; OMG I'm really inspired and I want to quit guitar playing at the same time..... Andy was just beyond perfection that night.
20.16 to 21.10 Andy Timmons = The killer ..!!
andy timmons is impressive
Bravo Bravo! Incredible players! Thank you for the music!
Steve's a great player, but this was Andy's evening, I think, followed by none other than PG. Andy's solo on that PG song's just incredible (Paul Gilbert gives a nod himself like "Woooow!" at 16:26), plus the man's so alive on the stage, but with no much of that rock star ego sh***!
Otherwise, what a drummer!
Jean Kabeya Who is this drummer, btw?
@@luisdanielanton82 Simon Philips! The guy is so gooood
Not a fan of Andy’s “shred” playing but some of the best tone and melodies in the game. Locked in with sax players vibrato. Incredible.
and Mr. Simon Phillips
20:38 Steve is like "how the f#ck did you do that?"
