What a mind blowing performance, Legend statis exxeeded ,One of the best ever to exist in history. All styles perfectly every note clean and his feel is in perfect syncronisity with the universe and loved by all musicians in every dimension.
Amazing. 1. At his age still ripping. Hands do take a beating. 2. Plays “Scarified” early in the set with about as much gain as a blues player. No help with super compressed gained up sounds. What an Awesome guy/guitarist. Superb!!!!!
The reason I really love Paul Gilbert is that he not only shows flash guitar technics, but also very easy-listening rhythms. We can say that he's very humble man in that point.
I was thinking the same thing before I got home which led me to check out some PG videos Not that jamming is a competition but I bet in the back of everyone's mind is the intimidation of going head to head with The Amazing Maestro!!
They say back in the racer x days bands hated going on with them. How do you follow Racer x? Especially when there were "two Paul Gilberts". Paul and Bruce Bouillet
Paul is seriously one of the most talented guitarists in the history of the instrument. I am amazed at his playing more and more every year. I truly am inspired to play my guitar more and more because of Paul. I just love this guy! I am so thankful I am going to see him in a few months at Sweetwater. Thank you for posting this incredible medley. The medley of all medleys! 🎸😎🤟
I whole hearted believe Gilbert is the best rock guitarist ever. Not just his music theory but his mechanics are perfect and plays with feel. Great rhythm with perfect picking ❤

I was there right in the front row in front of Paul and I can tell you when they started I had my head blown off. The music was so loud and powerful, it was AMAZING...I told Paul "we love you Paul" and he replied "Aww love you too man..." So cool...Its was a brilliant night. Hey, if you watch the whole show video I have uploaded on my channel, you can hear yourself saying, 'we love you', and Paul responding to you. So you made it onto the bluray and went global :)
@@thorndog100 Super rare. We only pressed a limited number and sold them on the BEG tour, if you ever see one for sale, grab it as it's the last formal document of Paul's hard rock era. It's totally live, we did not overdub or edit it.
@@squicker Well I am a massive PG fan. I did actually meet him a couple of months later at an Andersons Music Masterclass at Guildford. He didn't seem to recognise me lol. I will keep an eye out for it because it is a jem. Thanks for uploading it..🎸🎶🎸🎶🎸✨
Exhilarating brilliance from start to finish...and they make it look like they're just havin' a little fun up there! No big deal! yeah, right! Gotta mention that Pete Griffin is 100% superb and rock-solid on bass, crucial foundation to this phenomenal virtuosic outpouring...

Wow - yeah, Happy 50th PG... Great performance all around. Unreal drummer too... Nice to hear Anything for You solo - nasty string skipping at the end. And he's doing all this shit at wicked volume with almost no preamp gain at all - totally amazing. He used to do these lesson seminars when he worked at GIT and you'd always see him reach around the back of some 80's JMC that Lee Jackson added an additional preamp too and it was instant heavy gain. Not here man, goddamn near impossible to rip this shit this loud with such a clean tone. Unbelievable technique... Again, not only a great performance, an unbelievable one !!!
I landed on this video semi-randomly via the youtube recommendations. I could criticise and say they are not 'real' songs and that it's just a pre-rehearsed show-off jam, but even so, to play this long with no breaks so impeccably (by all musicians) is truly phenomenal. Top notch performance.
Man after this i really feel like a Lazy guitarist, just like the channel owner, i need to practice more, i think im a good guitar player, but to be at this level we really need to take at least 1-2 hours daily minimum, this video really motivated me, today i already started with this guitar discipline to exercise every day, doing recording isn't enough.
The tightness of the band is amazing. The drummer and bassist are so tight. Very rare in hard rock bands. Also Paul is the best slop player since Jimmy Page, he's way more technical but allows sounds to take on their own shapes instead of forcing control. He so amazing in his approach
