I do love watching you make your abstract pieces and adore those ten minutes ones where you show what you would do to fix the mini. I like this as well and am looking forward to your next upload. It is a great channel.
I don't have a clear idea of what to expect from your next video, but I am eager to see what knowledge you are willing to impart. You are very generous with the techniques you have learned. You rank high on the list of the things for which I'm most grateful.
Nathalie 🎨
Always a fan of mark making videos. Do you ever use a Gel Plate for pattern? Would love to see more of these sorts of videos. Thank you for sharing your work. ❤
Ooh, what a fun video. Can’t wait for the follow-up! And thank you for all the great content that you share. Your warmth and authenticity just shine through.
LOVE videos like this! I also love mark making and find myself making collage papers very often. I also love that it’s something we can do with you! Thanks Betty!!
Thx Betty! Enjoyed this video too. Ready to see what we'll do with our pages of our awesome marks! Let us know soon! Thanks again. My library of your video is growing!!!
whuaaa..I am longing to watch the next video..I am a real fan of you..tks Betty..I am also a painter...and I love and appreciate your work...if by chance you find a minute ..I allow myself to give here my ..site..I leave in Switzerland..italian part ..so far from LA...take care 🎉
Hi Maryluce! You live in a beautiful part of the world! Glad you're excited about the next video...so am I! I saw a photo of your art on your TH-cam page. Fantastic!
Yes, and yes! I am a mixed media artist and use many of these techniques for my pieces. I in the first 20 yr of my art practice did strictly watercolor but found I was very bored at doing the same things and moved into mixed media. My work is now abstract with a touch of realizisim and strictly acrylics which the vibrant colors have become an obsession. Love your channel and enjoy your demo, like this one.
I love all of these ideas and can’t wait to see what you make with them. My favorite papers to use for collage is tissue paper, old book pages, children’s easel paper on a roll and plain copy paper because they adhere so easily. I’ve had trouble with deli paper and tracing paper because they roll so bad. Maybe I’m using the wrong type.
Hi Robin! Those are all fun papers to use for collage. Deli and tracking paper will buckle a little, but I kind of like it that way! Perfectly imperfect!
Loved this. I have been making my own collage papers for a while but I picked up a few new tips from your video today. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks
The folded toilet paper roll makes great “petals” or “loops” so if applied in a circular stamping pattern will create a flower or space age looking circle that are great for collages even if not used whole.
Fantastic I'm heading up to morgan hill (thanksgiving with the kids) I'm bringing some stuff to play with paint. I will definitely throw in some of these to make while I'm there. THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO
Hi Sharon! I'll be using these next week for an exercise in creating compositions. I might also share a few I've done in the past (will have to dig them up!).
Thats fun Betty, l have days when l dont actually want to make art and making collage papers are so satisfying. Just a mention to Jane Davis. Her latest video she gives a recipe from Golden for Quin Gold👍Apologies if you have already seen it. lm looking forward to your next video to see what happens with composition. Many thanks......Alioban ❤
Fun and doable for those of us who are beginners! You mentioned an college Extension composition class that was so helpful years ago. Would you consider offering a class solely on composition? Thank you, Betty!
Great question! I don't feel that I'm an expert in composition. But, I'm happy to share what I have learned and how I like to build compositions using collage papers. Next video coming tomorrow!
I love this, thanks for sharing, it can be hard i find to get an arresting painting on a small 6x6 but this was a great way to shhow an interesting and stop and look, kind of painting. Im gonna try it! Thanks, new subbie!🎉
Thanks! I recently purchased a small chest of drawers in which to store all of my “tools”-junk items, etc for printmaking and mark-making. 🙃 (not counting brushes, stencils…) I guess I should stop collecting items!
Haha...we all have that problem. We collect everything "just in case" we might use it. I'm currently in the process of decluttering my studio and my home. It feels good to let go of stuff to help me stay more focused on what I love and want to do. Thanks for watching the video, Maureen!
Hi! I used these to practice my composition skills. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/vpBqK6FT7W0/w-d-xo.html I hope you'll join me! Did you know (from google search results): When someone uses multiple question marks (like "???"), it usually indicates a heightened level of uncertainty, confusion, disbelief, or a strong need for clarification regarding the question they are asking, often conveying a more forceful or skeptical tone than a single question mark; this is generally considered informal and might be perceived as slightly aggressive in formal writing.

I noticed odd thing. I have been a long time subscriber to your channel and have been watching you on my TV to see your videos enlarged. I just went to your channel on my phone and it showed I wasn't a subscriber anymore . Of course I resubscribed. Just thought you should know if you happen to see a loss of subscribers over time.
Oh, interesting! I have heard other TH-camrs mention that people are being unsubscribed. I'll have to start mentioning that, too, and encouraging people to check to see if they're still subscribed. Thank you for sharing!
@mariaisabelgarciavazquez9675 Thanks, Maria! Unfortunately, I will not be incorporating these collaged papers into my artwork. They'll be used for an exercise to learn about composition.
white paint on black tissue paper works great

Great idea! I'll need to remember to do that next time. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi! Happy to join your channel... I love your videos so far. I have a question: is your Kabnet Wax paper same as Deli papers? TIA
Yes, it is! Same thing. THANK YOU so much for subscribing to my channel, Celine!

Does it matter which side of the wet tissue paper you paint on? I notice theres a smooth side and a rough side.
some people swear that its the smooth side to print on but i havent found it made any difference, although i do cover it with matt medium.
I didn't notice there were two sides (never paid attention to that!). I guess I'll have to try and see what happens!
Interesting! I'll have to try both sides!
😊
Thank you for watching the entire video!
❤
I appreciate you staying to the end of the video! Thank you!
so what do you do with these?????
