My dad has a 2015 z/28.. 427 under the hood 6 speed manual it only has 22.000km on it as I'm in Canada never seen rain or snow. Comes out the garage to get ponded on then right back in. The car is so rare I never see it anywhere ever
My dad has the exact same car too. If your talking about that track car they came out with for 2014-2015. I’ve only ever seen 1 in my entire life besides my dads
im kinda sad that you just completely skipped over one of the more important parts of 3rd gen z/28 history, the IROC-Z, because of that fact that this trim had replaced the z/28 from 1985 - 1991 and had better handling than the z/28 before it. it also had the Tuned Port Injection system that was in the corvette.
I still love driving my '88 IROC so much that after 35 years I do not see myself replacing it.
Just to clarify, the final year for the IROC-Z was 1990.

Back in 1987 I ordered a new IROC Camaro with the 5.7 motor.
As a then 20 year old I paid a little over $1500 a year for insurance. That's about $4100 in 2024.

I feel like they should made a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 with the black wing 4.2 tt v8 550hp and make a z28 1le Chevrolet Camaro Bit that is just me. Also put the LT5 in the Chevrolet Camaro Zl1 755hp to get the gt500 and the hellcat but maybe it be an overpower mess idk.
I think it a bit to late if they tell people about how good the handling was on the Chevrolet Camaro and put some Cadillac and corvette engines in it and make some more tv ads and maybe put it in a movie. it would save it but maybe it to late. they should did what dodge did put all the engines in that they could one new one each year . I mean MT (motor trend) wanted a z28 after they got a 2017 Zl1 at willow springs. Just to see how good it be.
Is 550 hp good or 670hp? The gt350 have 526hp. Also the dodge challenger ta is just and appearance package nothing more than looks not like a viper ta (time attack) or the old dodge challenger 340 (Trans Am racing ) ones . Also the viper ACR . Dodge need to make a track car but the Ev will just be a drag car. The Ta should be a time attack or Trans Am racing not just a look thing. ford have the Boss 302 and the Mach 1 and the new dark horse mustang.
chevy silverado should get the LT5 to beat the TRX and Raptor R. Also a more off road chevy blazer maybe chevy blazer 2 for the bronco and jeep JL

Z/28 was made in 67 as well. And the DZ302 true hp was 360+
That 360 hp was a misleading number. That was a "gross" rating back in '67. When ratings got changed to "net" in "71, that was more correct to an actual hp rating.
With that 360, you were looking at about 305 - 310 by 1971 standards.

I would almost expect a DCT and maybe a manual option. Spool valves… interesting. 1000 or fewer… don’t think you’ll get your hands on one for under 100K

I mean how many other great things have we witnessed the end of these days? GM axed the Camaro once before, but brought it back. The Checrolet design team can be blamed for killing the camaro. They shortened the car so much that the back seat became all but useless. Only small kids could use it. Plus the shorter body made it look terrible compared to the earlier versions. And many people just did not want what is functionally a 2 seat car. Hats off to the idiot GM executives for another dumb decision.
I agree about the rear seats but the camaro actually has more rear seat rom than a mustang.

Honestly, nobody that buys a camaro even cares about s rear seat. You buy it for looks and handling. It only has four seat for insurance purposes.

The 93 had 275hp, not 225hp. GM did absolutely ZERO to support sale of the Camaro as the last commercial for the 4th gen was somewhere around 1996 which is why sales were anemic. Meanwhile, Subaru had commercials EVERYWHERE for their WRX and consequently sold the hell out of them!
