"We need to build this car with a secret brake bias valve that brakes with more force on the inside giving the car massive oversteer. As max said "You can't win in a car that undetsteers"
Just a reminder that everyone trying to be like Top Gun 2. Want the In the cock pit shot with the actual actor. Mounted/rigged cameras on the vehicle etc.
They’ve been doing that for years. A young George Lucas was an apprentice on a movie called Grand Prix and that’s where he got the ideas for the trench run in Star Wars.
I'm keen to see this film. I'm not deluded into thinking it has to be exactly like real life to be a good film, like Topgun, it's a stylised version of F1 racing, the comic book version where everything is turned up to eleven. The thing that's amazed me so far is how these guys have been at races, in the pitlane, on the grid, standing amongst drivers during the national anthems, but FOM has largely hidden that from us fans, you hardly see any sign of them.
It's geared, no pun intended, for Americans and other non "modern" F1 indoctrinated people who haven't been turned into merchandise bots by drive to survive.
The most recent driver to have raced as an American is Logan Sargeant, who was signed to Williams Grand Prix Engineering for the 2023 season. He drove for one and a half seasons before being replaced for the remainder of the 2024 season. During his time in Formula One Sargeant scored one point. 1978 was the last American to win a race in the Dutch Grand Prix in 1978 so Americans don’t have a great history in F1 but I wish that would change. How ever Ford partnered with Cosworth have a good history together and won a lot. The Brits and Americans made a good team together same with Le Mans as well with a British designed car and Ford power plant and a Brit and American driver team. I hope Ford comes back or perhaps another American company as it makes it more competitive - the more the merrier.
I cannot believe this is the quality of dialogue they are "teasing" with. Anyone vaguely interested in car racing knows there are rules that apply to all teams. If the Pitt sound bite is about somehow risking a design with iffy structural integrity, or creating a car that has extra protection to make contact with other cars in curves, then I do not see what the 300+ million the movie supposedly cost were spent on. No one in F1 racing would take that kind of chance, unless he is Flavio Briatore, who just came back after a 10-year ban.
Not fair to say that read Adrian Neweys book if you haven't already and although not 'illegal' he definitely pushed things that were not entirely safe in the pursuit of the last tenth. Same with Ferrari and their special engines in 2019. Don't be fooled by the nice diluted appearance of F1 presented to you because behind the scenes engineers are battling over inches and some will take massive risks to achieve it
@@saintric I guess we would have to define "illegal" and "unsafe" more precisely, since all Motorsports can be considered unsafe. In any case, I am pretty sure nobody would discuss it the way it is discussed here. Maybe it was a crude attempt to differentiate between aerodynamic grip and mechanical grip.

Hit me up when I'm proven right: -Old washed up driver that had it's glorious days back in the past is tasked with helping a "back of the line" team get it's mojo back. -Inexperienced young first driver can't get all the juice out of the new car and tactics so the old veteran has to chime in and take the wheels. -Egos clash but eventually they learn to work together and get the team back on its feet. I guessing they get no more than one podium finish 'cause this seem to be going with the realistic approach. - A lot of cameos It's basically the plot of driven but I bet I'm not so far off. With all that said, THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE A TRAILER! KUDOS
So, wikipedia says all 10 F1 teams and the real drivers appear in this film. If this team is the "Expensify Grand Prix Team does that mean F1 adds an 11th team in this film's story????

He's not playing a modern F1 driver - he comes out of retirement - which makes him playing a retired F1 driver showing the rookie F1 driver the ropes to winning.
Why don't you look at his bare ass of brad
The anticipation of that sustained note resolving in the engine sound and takes of Pitt driving is editing genious.
"redbull doesnt have speed through the corners lol"
Any knowledgeable race fan is going to treat this as a comedy. It seems like they are going for the classic Mini vs Mustang race which is fine for the Mini on a tight twisty track but all comes apart if the straights are long enough for the V8 to make the corners irrelevant.
Would be nice to let them visualize the G-forces in the corner combined with the feel of the throttle/Grip
So basically Top Gun for car racing...by the same director that did Maverick
That movie was made decades ago and it is called Days of Thunder....but basically yeah Top Gun with cars, again.
Wrong Tom Cruise movie. You meant Days of Thunder.
That was pure shit too
“We need to build our car for combat” said no one in F1 ever.
"We need to build this car with a secret brake bias valve that brakes with more force on the inside giving the car massive oversteer. As max said "You can't win in a car that undetsteers"
Yeah that's strap guns to it, that's the amercan way 😅😅😅
Just a reminder that everyone trying to be like Top Gun 2. Want the In the cock pit shot with the actual actor. Mounted/rigged cameras on the vehicle etc.
This is made by the same director FYI, so that's ok.
Top Gun 2 is a shitt movie
This is really alike the real F1 mounted camera angles from the cars.
@@tegahgolden1343 I totally agree with you
They’ve been doing that for years.
So next year bred will gonna win f1, niceee
Who is Bred Will?
All those red squiggly lines mean something.
If Brad Pitt is a F1 driver in this movie, it should be advertised as Sci-Fi.
Am I the only F1 fan that cringes watching that trailer... 🙈
you're the only F1 fan
Yes.
Your're not the only one. Car for combat? Who said anything about save? Whoever wrote this does not understand F1.
It is going to be cringeworthy I’m sure but possibly great to look at, like top gun Maverick.
It's geared, no pun intended, for Americans and other non "modern" F1 indoctrinated people who haven't been turned into merchandise bots by drive to survive.
Gunther Steiner getting a second of screen time is everything
Me before watching trailer: "I hope there isn't much CGI"
Seeing the first shot of Brad Pitt: "He kinda looks CGI"...
Every shot in this movie will have some CGI element to it, even BP sitting at a table.
61 year old Brad Pitt as an F1 driver is RIDICULOUS! Completely unbelievable
If it's realistic to F1, we'll know how the movie ends by the first corner............
We knew also about RUSH end, although that's a good movie, soooo...
Seeing as this is Hollywood, you already know who's going to win.
The trailer would have had more likes if it had f1 sound rather than than the song
1:02 The only reason I will watch this movie
Crew chiefs flipping each other off????🤔
There are rich F1 teams and poor F1 teams, then there's 50 feet of crap, then us.
And then there’s Williams. Lol.
lol, that blender noise at the end
Americans making a F1 film. 😂😂😂
Yeah, and a female building a car, of course.
Pssst, they own F1 now 😂
I like the way Brad samples the grass like he is going for a game of golf after shooting.
@@user-rc4qh3lp7h maybe he thinks he is an F1 gladiator.
60 year old F1 driver...yeah, that's doable....
Brad could make this „Kimi comes back sometimes to pursue his hobby a bit“-thing-movie.
Safe? Tell that to the FIA 😅
copy, we'r checking.. xD xD xD
Tsunoda instead of Bruce Lee. Hell of a fight in first corner with Cliff Booth.
Too bad there's no longer 'star in a reasonably priced car'....
Do you all want to see "the best" looking male on this earth? He is the one William Brad Pitt. Love your movies sir, from your fan in Thailand.
Old White Man In Position Of Authority: Check
Black Driver: Check
Female Mechanic: Check
Showing "the world" that the lesser people can do it too: Check
"Liberal Hollywood approves this film."
You mad 😂
I was thinking I was the only one noticing this -given all the excitement about the comments- u described it perfectly 🤣👍
No Asians...that's hilarious when there are 2 real ones on the grid...Another BS movie..
Can't tell much from a trailer but looks somewhat better than I would have anticipated.
Ah yes, the DEI tick the box F1 movie that we were all asking for.
Yesssssss. Female pit crew 💪
Director Kosinski please NO MORE black screen. You black screen 5 times in Top Gun Maverick and it was way too much, plus ruined the final deck scene.
Looks like Mr Kosinski be takin' some camera work experience from Top Gun: Maverick for this film. This piece could shape up to become iconic like Steve McQueen's 'Le Mans'
Noticed that too!!. He shouldn't do it too often though ..It's not just cinematography that makes a good movie, the screenplay and acting need to be as fresh and Original as possible..Us millenials have an evolved cinematic diet now 😂
Use this as a
Im watching this day 1 button 👇
Where's The Stig?
I'm glad they used this is song. It's never been used for anything before.
this film has cringe written all over it
Hats off to the ones who edited this trailer... Interesting use of the music... Kept us vested through the duration... Touche
Looks very good
"Esto ya se ha visto", señores guionistas se les solicita en Hollywood urgentemente, gracias!
Someone else here in the comments said he will make one pushup for any like he will get i never seen anything like this
First time you'll see a negative pish up 😅😅😅
As an F1 fan, this looks about as good as the movie 'Driven'.
Didn't reveal anything. 😅
And that's how you make a good trailer.
Interesting.... If this sheds more light on F1 I'm sold.. Count me in for watching this..
Can't wait
So glad they managed to find a black guy who can drive in Formula 1. Must have been hard, but hey they filled the DEI quota.
Lewis Hamilton is a black guy
I am glad that they offended your racist feelings. 😂
What'll be next a strong diverse female 😂
@@arsebusquets2436 Still waiting for one to post a time! LOL
What about Hamilton?
I was there a couple of the filming days. the chopper pilots are ace👍
lol what a crap
Brad Pitt: “who said anything about safe”
FIA: “Am I a joke to you”
If you ever plan on attending a Indy car race and you are a F1 fan, unlike F1 you will need hearing protection.
Hit me up when I'm proven right:
-Old washed up driver that had it's glorious days back in the past is tasked with helping a "back of the line" team get it's mojo back.
- A lot of cameos
It's basically the plot of driven but I bet I'm not so far off.
Yes
@jsquared1013 22 drivers on the grid is going to get crowded 🤣
This looks incredible! I swear the racing footage looks like it was taken from a video game
My Dad got me into F1 and class B in the 80s and Ive always been sorta dumbfounded why Americans arent into it.
They've managed to make F1 look vaguely interesting
Am I the only one that felt a sinking feeling in their stomach seeing (2025) next to a movie title? 👴
I like the fact that they're including the current F1 grid. Kinda like Grand Prix back in the 60's.
"Who say anything about safe"
F1 Regulations: "Am I joke to you?"
"How am I suppose to make that safe?"
FIA: Am I a joke to you?
What in the name of holy spirit of Senna was that trailer? Oh, it stinks.
Listen to the crowd chant "Let's Go Brandon" 😂
This movie better have a cameo of Kimi Raikonen!
