I thank God for sending us people like Billy Joel. I am a physician and surgeon with a goal of helping to alleviate pain and suffering. Good music performs the task better than I ever will.
Zxyw 0987 Totally depends on what is ailing you. My family couldn’t place more importance on music, and yet we’ve had surgeons alleviate our pain and suffering-and save our lives-several times. Thanks to god for great music and great surgeons (and propofol, lol).
You can see this is real ... this man really feels everything he writes and sings ...makes you feel it ... and this is alot on as far as women are conscerned and just it's raw and painfully obvious
Growing up I was never a fan of Billy Joel. Didn’t know half the songs. But my 16 year old son is listening to him now. Taking a break from Kanye, Juice etc. He said to me Billy Joel might be the greatest musician of all time. I had a hard time debating that. All I could say was there may be the greatest Cellist in the world performing in a European orchestra. Hard to quantify the greatest. But for songwriting, performing and mastery of the piano and his own vocals, yes Billy Joel may be the greatest I will acknowledge. I’m admiring and appreciating his work as I get older. And long for the days when so many great artists of all different genres could make music and fill the airwaves. Alas, that era is gone and never to return I fear.
@@Cloxxki yes he has heard some. I’ve played Sultans of Swing for him. He likes it as do I. But don’t know much more of his repertoire with Dire Straits.
God I’d give anything to go back in time and experience live performances from all my favorite artists and bands. I was born in 2002 and I thank my dad for letting me grow up with old music
My daughter was a 2000 baby and was raised on Billy, The Doors, Jimi & of course a lot of 80’s metal. She can sing any song from that era. ((DAD GOALS!))
Sorry about your loss.I never stopped grieving but it gets better with time.you have too find something totally different ,a hobby,or a college class, but as I say too my on children...you my child can't you must not die with me...the next days are yours now. This song is always linked in my mind to Dylan’s “just like a woman”. There is no way that Bob’s song did not directly influenced this marvelous song. Two of the most perfect songs ever written.

Mr. Billy Joel sung this song live and full of emotions. We listening to his singing could actually feel the song as his story. Thanks, Billy Joel, for your music and talent.

She's Always a Woman Billy Joel She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes And she can ruin your faith with her casual lies And she only reveals what she wants you to see She hides like a child but she's always a woman to me She can lead you to love, she can take you or leave you She can ask for the truth but she'll never believe you And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free Yeah she steals like a thief but she's always a woman to me Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants She's ahead of her time Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in She just changes her mind And she'll promise you more than the garden of Eden Then she'll carelessly cut you and laugh while you're bleeding But she brings out the best and the worst you can be Blame it all on yourself 'cause she's always a woman to me Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants She's ahead of her time Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in She just changes her mind She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel But she can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree And the most she will do is throw shadows at you But she's always a woman to me
The perfect description of how A Woman wants to be ! 🥰 …But not always the kind a man wants it has to be said. Times might change…. this still captures the imagination…Beautifully 🎶♥️❤️♥️🙏🏼✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🌟✨
This song will always remind me of my mom taking me the doctor one day when I was 8. Even though she's not a thief or any other things Billy Joel sings here
One of the best love songs ever written. (Should be noted that I'm not a huge fan of Billy Joel, but this love song, Just the Way You Are and She's Got A Way, are all absolute ... GENIUS)
I wasn't even born when Billy Joel broke out with some of his best material. But something that I've always noticed is that he did not sound like he was making music in the 70s, 80s, 90s, or what not. His music sounded like it fit no matter when it was released, but also drastically different from what the trends were. His music was good music. Period. As a millenial of the older end of the cohort, there was still remnants of musical tribalism which was rampant among Gen X and other early millenials... but I was the one of the few who listened to all types of genres of music as long as it was good, and I even gravitated to music that would eventually be considered timeless. What a relief it was for me to find that younger millenials and Gen Z/Centennials were much more like me, having a wide variety of knowledge of music from different eras and as a result, I'm able to connect well with those who are 15-20 years younger than me. And that's because of the appreciation of music that is good, no matter what. Billy Joel's music, especially this one, hits so well, and though he's not Elvis or the Beatles, he's made such a significant influence on music, while it's a lowkey influence at the same time. You got a catchy melody, beautiful lyrics, solid vocals, piano, guitar, bass, and percussion, those might be all one needs for music to connect to the audience.
I am a long time fan...just unbelievably beautiful. His voice.... incredible! Songwriting ability...top notch! In other words....PERFECT! WISH WISH I COULD SEE HIM IN CONCERT!

She's Always a Woman
Billy Joel
She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes
And she can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child but she's always a woman to me
She can lead you to love, she can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth but she'll never believe you
And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free
Yeah she steals like a thief but she's always a woman to me
Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in
She just changes her mind
And she'll promise you more than the garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you and laugh while you're bleeding
But she brings out the best and the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself 'cause she's always a woman to me
Oh, she takes care of herself, she can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out and she never gives in
She just changes her mind
She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel
But she can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree
And the most she will do is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
The lyrics are brilliant. One of my favourites.
