NEW: I updated this tutorial and made a shorter version ( in case you need it ). Here it is: Altium Designer 22 Tutorial - Quick & Easy | Step by Step th-cam.com/video/PqFtSpAXB9Q/w-d-xo.html

shouldn't the NF component space be taken over by the solder mask and thus be green i.e no silk screen component?

Why not put the designator into the BOM?

Finally finished this wonderful presentation! I learned so much...
(a tiny hint for ViewMate, instead of all the double-clicking to view layers around 38:30, you can use the arrow keys above the layer list to move up and down the stack. turn all layers invisible except for one layer and try clicking blue arrow buttons!)
Also, if you ever have a desire to expand on this course, I would like to see a "Tutorial 6: Your First Revision". Use the same LED layout, but assume the engineer has asked for one LED D2 to be colored RED and wants mounting holes in the corners (or something like that). What to check before starting a revision? how to make a backup, clearance rule around holes, etc. Just an idea, but THANK YOU for making this series!

I had watched a series on Udemy about creating an Arduino board in Altium, it was average at best. This series was much better and free! The small tips and tricks were what made this so great, most people teaching Altium skip over things that you have taken the time to show in great detail, I appreciate the large amount of time you've invested in this series. I feel more confident in designing and manufacturing my first PCB now. Thank you very much. Hi, thanks for the videos. In the 28:36 minute you select the "Source" for the Top and the Bottom Assembly Layer. In Altium 19.1.7 those options do not exist. How can I do this?

@@RobertFeranec Greetings! I dont know if it actual after a year (i bet it's not), but i've faced same issue when going through your great tutorial and have found the answer (Started learn altium this monday). To get same result in altium 21 as you got in altium 18, you need to go to _(name of your PCB)_.PCBdoc-> View Configuration->Layers & Color-> choose Assembly Component Layer Pair ( in this video you have used "mechanical 29 - mechanical 30") -> click RMB -> Edit Layer -> choose "Assembly" Layer Type.
After that you need to go back to the draftsman, click on neccesary Board Assembly View -> Properties -> Component Display Properties -> Component Body -> Assembly Drawing -> Profit (Simply Stated, do exactly how you have shown on the video exept "Source" setting. Instead of Source you need to edit assembly component layer pair properties in ___.PCBdoc).
(Don't know is it really necessary, but i also impotred changes from ___.PCBdoc to draftsman by clicking RMB on draftsman area -> import changes from ___.PCBdoc)
P.S. Thanks for awesome video! TH-cam have plenty of guides, but you are encomassing ennormous areas of small details and explaining them very accurate and clear. Thank You for your job! Going to try your cources when i will have enough resources for them :)
