    I like the bell. It let's me know when you're heading my way so I can look like I am paying attention to the video....😉

    Thank you for keeping us posted. Sure do enjoy your work. I'm sure it isn't easy recording and editing these videos. I can almost smell the pines.
    Amazing what one can find on the Internet. Checked the registration on that airplane. Owned by a guy in S. California.

      Hilarious! Matlock Tucker, ha. The plane was super cool. Lots of bush planes flying around up there, reminded me of Alaska for many reasons.

    Serious hills on that ride. Myself I put in extra effort to advoid hills. Oatmeal breakfast yum. I did 100 miles in a day once but that was a long time ago. Stay hydrated my friend.

      Sounds great! Im follow that route, up or down. There are lots of opportunities to take the shorter paved road, but I just love the beating. Catch you in the Midwest.

    It looks like you had an easier time climbing Red Meadow pass than me! That downhill was great though!

    That entire regional is spectacularly beautiful. I moto-camped through Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and the entire central corridor from Boston 1 year. 7000 miles in 12 days. If I could live anywhere though, it would definitely be Colorado. Oh, what if you loosened the backpack straps to lower that huge load on your back? I swear by fanny packs now... no sweaty back and the hips carry the load. Thanks and be safe!

      The Northern Rockies are great, very wild country. Comparable to Alaska and The Yukon. Colorado has always had my heart. I thought about the fanny pack, but in the end went with the pack i owned. Secretly carrying a computer in there to bring as live as possible videos for y'all. See you on The Alcan.

    Great to see the new video. Made my day. Been stuck at home the last few days dealing with COVID. The beautiful scenery is inspiring. You are really crushing the miles on the new bike. I'm sure you will get your setup dialed in. It sounds like in the lower mileage range you are feeling fine though. I have a certain threshold where no matter how comfortable the bike is I start feeling fatigued. It just depends on the circumstances and how far I've ridden on successive days. ROCK ON brother...🤘

    I'm headed to the flathead lake/river area in a few weeks. Did you find dispersed camping pretty easy? I've looked on Dyrt and it doesn't seem there are many options. Great video as always.

    • @TravelingThru222
      @TravelingThru222  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can camp anywhere you want in National Forests, if anybody gives you a hard time, tell them you have been throwing up all day and you’re out of options.

      Very beautiful country up there. Look and smells just like Alaska. Have not changed the saddle, and I feel changing a saddle mid trip isn't the best idea. I think i will work on the shorts first.

    Don't know how many kg's are in your backpack.
    But on bumpy roads they will terrorize your B-hole area.
    Consider to mount a rack at the back, to stack your pack.
    (Never heard of Holland Lake, but the lake sure looks as flat as Holland. Nice!)

    • @TravelingThru222
      @TravelingThru222  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Beautiful area. Well.. the backpack is secretly carrying a computer to bring everybody videos as live as possible. I do have a game plan, and I shouldn't be carrying it the "hole" time. Thanks for the tips.

    Bear spray….no big deal until you need it….I always carry two as once a bear biologist gave me that tip….always have a backup if you are miles between resupply in Bear Country….FYI: the majority of bear encounters/attacks are with black bears and they are everywhere….

  • @ReimaginedAdventures
    @ReimaginedAdventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Are you using a bear vault for food storage?

    • @TravelingThru222
      @TravelingThru222  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Im not carrying a bear vault. If I was hiking I may carry a bear canister. All Bike Packers have been hanging their food in the trees, and some of them aren't really concerned with it at all, they just "put their food over there" kind of a thing. I feel there is way more hype over grizzly territory than needs to be, but definitely a concern on everybody's mind.

      @@TravelingThru222 you are a seasoned pro with your hiking and cycling experience in bear county throughout the US. "Matty Freedom" talked about a woman that was killed by a grizzly in Ovando Montana last year in one of his videos. She was killed right in the town in a public area. I think she may have left some of her toiletries in the tent which may have attracted the bear to her. I looked up the article. Numerous links to it. Very sad. Stay safe brother.
