I've been out of the reef tank game for many years, but just bought a new tank. Looking at skimmers (among many other things) now. This one looks pretty nice!
I've seen reviews on the ELITE series from several sources and all were very good. One of the nice upgrade is to the sicce pump. I'm planning on getting the Waterbox Marine 70.3 and I think this would be a great skimmer at a great price point for this system. What was also interesting that was brought out in the video, was the water level used to operate efficiently can be less than what Bubble magnus recommends.

I have the old version and once you find the sweet spot which is no where near the instructions height it works good. Would have been good to see you compare it to the old version. What’s pricing on this compared to the old model which is super cheap

Need a new skimmer would be nice.
It will be very intresting to see the skimmer impeller/needle weel becouse on the normal bubble magus curve the impeller/needle weel of the pump is very small. If they kept the same size ratio pump impeller is not worth the effort of buying one of this skimmer.
