After seeing this I still feel confident I made the right choice with the cooler master NR200P a few years ago. I use the case turned on its face(front) so that the motherboard io is pointing up for easy access. Love that the front panel is solid so I’m not giving up any cooling!!
I think there are several companies that make reversed blades that are swapable depending on weather you are going for exhaust or intake...I like the look of Corsair fans, but I wish they would do something like that also...
@@lacedchemist1295 patents would be my guess. sort of like how lian li is suing people for daisy chaining fans even though they didn't invent daisy chaining. /shrug
0:27 I'd actually be VERY interested in seeing a brand making a case with this volume but horizontal, like a very compact ASUS AP201 or a bigger Meshroom D/NR200P.
If you have any influence with Micro Center ask them to build a store in Phoenix AZ. We used to have Fry's electronics, but they screwed up and started focusing on stuff other than electronics and ended up folding. Their old locations are still vacant and Micro Center could just move right in.
OH gods us too, right? They drove local stores like Computer Stop (and the other one, I forget what it was called) out of business in Seattle, then spun around immediately into being trash and closing down. I'm actually jealous of places with a Micro Center now.
Seriously!! We have no good computer stores in the Phoenix area at all. Yet Phoenix is considered the Mecca for data centers due to our cheap energy costs and low probability of natural disasters. Plus, there's a ton of manufacturing that happens here - Intel, Honeywell, Boeing, ON Semi, NXP Semiconductors, and pretty soon, even TSMC will have a fab here. That means there are a LOT of geeks here and we have nowhere to shop locally!
$200? For that? Non-removable mesh? In so-many-ways no. No fricken way, Corsair. While there's no way I'd buy that case, I will applause the fan-grills. For these kind of cases they truly make sense.
I prefer cables that are too long over ones that are short. It's easy to loose excess slack in the case, it's a pain to reroute to taoe a shorter route.
Agreed, but to a point. Trying to manage a USB 3.0 header cable that's TWICE AS LONG AS HUMANLY NEEDED in a ITX case or some mATX cases is a nightmare. Looking at you, Lian-Li 011 Air Mini. I swear, they must have used the same header cable from the largest 011 case.
Adam is killing it , he’s started to get comfortable with the camera and now his confidence is building which is exactly what we are looking for in a host💪
We need MC all over the world...In Denmark the best we get is power or Elgiganten, places that are more interested in selling kitchen applicanes or phones...They BARELY have any wider laptop selection, no PC desktops usually or any parts...
I'm excited too! I have never been to a Mirco Center before, but i'm going to make the drive when it opens...I live in Greenville, NC so it's still a bit of a drive, but I will make a day trip just to check it out!
I wish MicroCenter had a form for requesting their next location. Would help gauge the market in the area and potentially get stores in areas they might not have considered.
The problem with this case is that it was originally designed inverted from what is shown. The PSU was at the bottom and the mainboard was at the top. That design worked well except for a subset of graphics cards that had heat pipes. Since they were being used in pretty much the opposite of the expected orientation they didn't work right, so Corsair had to do a last-minute re-design to flip it. That's why you have the issue with the power cord being run up the back on the outside of the case, the motherboard IO ports being in a stupid location pointing down, etc. I was excited for this a few months ago when it launched but after I discovered it was basically a salvaged design I lost interest.
I have this case! taking out the front fans makes it so much easier during building and placing them back at the end is easy. Also I pulled the fan controller from the top and mounted it on the bottom that way the aio fan cables can go in and allow you to tip the 360 grill on the mount easily in and out and keeps access optimal if needed. I agree thats it is a shame you cant run the power supply extension through the case. Ow and lats but not least it fits a rx 7900 xtx perfectly.
Cool video, but it was a bit confusing. In one sentence he complains about the terrible cable management options and the amount of effort needed for that and in the next sentence he praises it as one of the best small form factor cases he ever build in.
Patent issues aside, I’d love to see more companies copy thermaltakes swappable fan blades design so that you can have it pretty side out whether it’s intake or exhaust
Totally different but the 680x maybe an older-ish case now but I’ve built four PC’s in them and they are the best case, no frustration or shortcomings. Just a great case and can be had for less than $200 in sales.
just down the road from me and i was waiting for the opening, i didnt have to buy anything but it was nice seeing the gpu prices so low since i was last looking at them
In UK we had "PC World", now gone, company called Currys took it over and now they have f all pc stuff.. it would be heaven to walk around a pc component shop like microcenter in uk😂
My local Currys is way better than the PC World it replaced. PC World stocked mostly overpriced junk and like 60% of the shop-space was designated for printers.
Ha, I still have the Corsair 380T case, used it for my VR PC for ages until I wanted to put a 2070 TI into it and it didn't fit... Was actually awesome at the time since I moved my PC around a lot back then.
Oh holy cow I didn't realize it was you guys there! Seriously was like oh hey some influencers are here that's kinda cools. INDIANA IS SO FING HAPPY MICROCENTER HAS GRACED OUR CORNFIELD OF A STATE WITH IT'S MAJESTY!!!
I have always wondered why anyone would bother with the hassle of such a small build, this video just reinforces that thought. I mean, I get space constraints and preference, but I just couldnt see myself trying to fit a handful of turkeys into a toilet paper roll.
it happens :) every time i go in the STL one theres at least one person wearing LMG merch. Especially when it gets cooler and people start wearing jackets and hoodies.
Sounds like my experience doing builds in Corsair cases... They look great, function fine, but they're really lagging behind other manufacturers in terms of "build features"
You think it'd be possible to put a 360mm watercooled 4090 in the thing and have enough room for a moderate cooler for a 7800x3d? SERIOUSLY debating this case, but the footage really didn't help [in fairness, I'm skipping around a lot]
Look up other videos for the case. This build video doesn't do it justice. It can fit a 3-slot card up to 360mm length and even Air coolers up to 165mm (when not using the side fan bracket). There are also tons of cable mounts, unlike what was said in the video. This one and the Hardware Canucks video are the worst videos about this case.

if Corsair wanted to sell a lot of new fans immediately, Exhaust fans where the guard is on the other side would be a money idea.
I think there are several companies that make reversed blades that are swapable depending on weather you are going for exhaust or intake...I like the look of Corsair fans, but I wish they would do something like that also...
I always wondered why they don't do that. Also wondered if the direction actually made a difference.
Bit pricey but Thermaltake makes the Swafan that you can swap fan blades on to choose the direction of each one.

Sacrilege to not put a 360mm AIO in this when it's the only ITX case that can accommodate one lol
I love that MicroCenter is now in Indy, I hate that they didn't buy the old Fry's Electronics building. That would have been cool.
