I ran 28x 12.5 x15 M/T ET Streets on my 72 Nova and my 75 nova. Both with Chevy 12 bolt rear end spool and 4:30 gears on the street never had an issue with rubbing when turning never had to roll the fender either. Tight fit but worked great and hooked up awesome. But I used C/E j bolt traction bars also which had the shock mounts Incorporated into the traction bars. Nice work 👍
Excellent looking work, thanks for sharing. I've got a 71 Nova that someone installed a really good Ford 9 inch rear end in, they just did a poor job installing it.
I just subscribed when i herd you say you used camaro parts on the nova,i tell my girl thats how real hot rodders use to do it before you can pull up to summit and order what you want,i gave it a like too lol
Nice set up. I'm dealing with the same issue but I'm running a 5.5 backing space. I lowered it 4 inches in the rear but I have to use a shock relocation kit since I'm running disc brakes in the rear. If I had drums i would definitely try the different plate. Idk unless I stagger my disc brakes. 🤔
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing to my 74 nova. Thanks for posting. What size tire do you think you'll be able to go to now? I'd like to run a 255 60r15 myself, wonder with the changes you've done if a 275 would fit?
Nice car ! I have a 71Nova 350 4 speed, and im interested in your sway bar setup , where did you buy it and do you like it ? Im from Arkansas myself GO HOGS !
Weird. My 72 (with multi leafs) shock plates look totally different. They have one tab that bends down with a single hole. *edit okay the ones you took off were mono leaf plates*
Dude I wish you did nova videos every day!!
Thank you!
Thanks for the post, very informative! I have noticed my right side is rubbing with stock Nova shock plates with 15"x8" Chevy Rally rims.

No mine were original multi leaf. They are the same as a mono leaf. Someone switched your plates only the camaro have the single hole .
@@rodwilliams68 you are correct the multi leaf I believe would still contact the rim from the looks of them. Thanks for the info though.
@@rpmfreak676 They do contact the rim if you go too wide.
