This kind of surfer garage fuzzy rock is my favorite kind of music from the past two decades, there are so many bands that are influential but the more bands the better.
Had the pleasure of playing a gig with these guys. They absolutely ripped and have only gotten better. Major shout out!
Being inspired by and straight up ripping off are two very different things. Still listened though, great musicianship. I hope they evolve towards their own style.
Ya know, I struggle with this too. They are completely derivative of Osees, but I love Osees, so of course I'm digging these guys. I'll see them if and when they hit my town.

@@shapeovertime6364 Feel like there's a bit of Toe Cutter / Thumb Buster in there as well. But yeah, I think they sound great and I enjoyed the set - just far too derivative of Osees for me. Bordering on a cover band.

Dwyer has springs installed in his nipples. It's how he gets that reverb tone. I think this guy is just using a pedal.
I missed the ole Osees and Gizz sound given that they are at a whole different vibe right now, that said let the bois cook, they are legit 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

So what they sound like x band, every band carries their influences on their sleeve, just let them play. If it rips, it rips, which is the case in my opinion. Let them have fun, let them make whatever they wanna make. Keep charging at us like a bull lads, you guys rip it up and just got a new fan ⚡️
I bit they also measure music. Like in underated, top 10 and awards. Taking joy out of music! I dig Screen Frogs. I could kill it with history of music and tell who made who. More and more seems to forget the joy and wonder of music.

yes, but then I thot of many other bands whose sound, musical space, and stage presence were copied by many. Maybe that honors the originals. LCD Sound System has a cool tune that I'd swear is built on a clear rhythm. bass line and vibe from a specific Osees tune. And i like this 'plagiarist' band as well.

Some of these riffs (a lot) are straight up just rip offs from KG and osees. As much as i love those bands and their influence, this is just pure plagiarism.
I didn't hear any lifted riffs but osees guitar tone and king gizz cadence definitely. They like their music so do I and these guys can play so no complaints here.

This would be amazing if these were middle school kids learning to write music by literally copying bands they like (Osees). But this is absolutely ridiculous… Ripping off a band vs promoting a genre are totally different. Add to the genre not rip off a band as grown adults. Or just be a cover band if that’s what’s fun for you. Not this.
uncomfortable proximity to inspiration. when I grew up, people got expelled for plagiarism. there's enough good stuff here to make some songs without being so tacky with the rips from Dwyer et co...
