My man, you got something here, believe me. As someone in this comment section said, it's nice for us boomers to know the honest opinion of the next generation about the games we grew up with, someone with fresh eyes, untainted by nostalgia goggles. (And it's funny because we didn't have an older generation to do the same with, or a platform to share, so in a sense this is a first!) And hopefully it inspires younger people to play them, not because "they have historical value" or "it's what the 90's kids played therefore they're better!!!1!", but because they are genuinely good. I mean, they're classics for a reason. If you want a suggestion for a bit more emotional game, do Chrono Trigger (all sidequests). It's a fucking amazing game, to me the best of the 16-bit era. I legit cry every tiem. But I'm not sure about its comedic potential, so maybe hold it for when the channel gets bigger. Anyway, good fucking content
You deserve it :) I just subbed. My cousin shared your video to me and I love your content. I'm a huge Nintendo fan here on my art channel and I enjoy your editing style.

And about the game, yeah, experiencing it as a kid was pure magic, I really don't know how Nintendo did it. Interesting perspective. I think NSMBU is the best 2D Mario in terms of platforming. I think people don't give it the credit they give something like SMW because it lacks the cartoony style.
The NSMB series has a special place in my heart. DS was my first video game in general. And they’re all good games I just wish they were more unique. U is probably the best designed one though!!! And I played the crap out of Luigi U! Thanks for watching!!!
@@VoidReviews Yeah, it makes me sad that people got so upset about the "New" games. I suspect there will never be another 2D Mario now that Mario Maker is a thing.

Everybody doesn't shut up about Mario world because it's that great of a game. The pixel graphics are just perfect. The colors they chose are bright and colorful, and I don't care what anyone says, classic Yoshi is the better yoshi. Definitely classic TH-cam like Egoraptor, Jontron, etc. I also have a lot of respect for channels like Scott the Woz, Relax Alax, and I’ve always loved Dunkey lol. I feel like they have really solid structures!
Love the channel! Just subscribed, any way you can review Majora's Mask or Pokemon Stadium on the 64? Maybe San Andreas on the PS2? All my top favorite iconic games. You already covered OOT and SMW so I'm pretty thrilled. Can't wait for more videos!
I’m planning on mixing it up a little with video game and non video game content but trust me I’ll get to cover every big franchise or game at some point!!! Especially GTA and Pokémon! Thanks for watching!!!
How much longer with the flicking between channels thing keep working as a trope? Is it like the record scratch? It'll get increasingly quaint but never die? Or will there come point when everyone that personally experienced channel flicking will die out, and the trope will lose all meaning? I hope not. It's a great trope :)
I never got quite into 2D Sonic the same way as Mario and Megaman. But I’d say Megaman X 100% tops Mario World as a pure 2D platformer. I can barely think of any flaws in that game lol

I find it funny how much you can see the influence in the review style here. Lots of Mr. Pilkington and lots of Egoraptor. XD
Are there more that I don't know?
Definitely classic TH-cam like Egoraptor, Jontron, etc. I also have a lot of respect for channels like Scott the Woz, Relax Alax, and I’ve always loved Dunkey lol. I feel like they have really solid structures!
I think I am the only one who likes mario wii... grew up with it an mario party 9. Yes I'm weird I know
Now I really want to play Super Mario World! Another hilarious video! Long live da Super Mario Bros!
Thanks for watching!!!
This is legit a video that i expected to be made by someone with atleast 1M subs. THIS IS SOME GOURMET SHIT
May the algorithm bless this video
Love the channel! Just subscribed, any way you can review Majora's Mask or Pokemon Stadium on the 64? Maybe San Andreas on the PS2? All my top favorite iconic games. You already covered OOT and SMW so I'm pretty thrilled. Can't wait for more videos!
I’m planning on mixing it up a little with video game and non video game content but trust me I’ll get to cover every big franchise or game at some point!!! Especially GTA and Pokémon! Thanks for watching!!!
Not gonna lie that Segway got me
You’re making 500k subs content with a 600 sub salary
Bosses were hard on the first play thru
Bro … played this game since I was 5… didn’t notice it was all the same song… My last 18 years… bro…
Welcome to the club LMAO! It took me a while to figure it out too!!!
How much longer with the flicking between channels thing keep working as a trope? Is it like the record scratch? It'll get increasingly quaint but never die? Or will there come point when everyone that personally experienced channel flicking will die out, and the trope will lose all meaning?
I hope not. It's a great trope :)
I recently found your channel through the Ocarina of Time video and wow, your videos is great!!!
Although this is nostalgic, it just reminded me how 2d Sonic and Megaman were so much more superior than 2d Mario.
I never got quite into 2D Sonic the same way as Mario and Megaman. But I’d say Megaman X 100% tops Mario World as a pure 2D platformer. I can barely think of any flaws in that game lol
Amazing video so glad i found you you get my sub
Good vid
great video dude
what is crazy, there are people who make rom hack super mario world, some are very creative and others do kaizo level XD
you nailed that shit. subbed
Loved the redlettermedia references 😂
Great video
Delicious! Tastes like Sequelitis but with friendlier spices, and you’re covering my *favorite game!* Love it! Please make more!
*Y O U A R E A S U P E R P L A Y E R ! !*
Thanks for watching man! I’ll try my best to keep pumping out good content!!!
Oh shit, I’ve been watching and JUST now noticed you’ve got a crazy low sub count and views. Dude this is 300k quality
I appreciate that! I hope I can keep growing and get more creative with the kind of content I put out! Thanks for watching!!!
Good stuff man, still my favorite Mario game.
Definitely the peak of 2D Mario! I LOVE Super Mario Land 2 though most underrated of the entire bunch
@@VoidReviews for sure it is! It's one of his stranger adventures too
Yoshi that’s why.
This video is the bastard child of sequelitis and 2011 Jontron……and it’s awesome!
I grew up on those classic TH-cam days so it’s extremely humbling to even be compared to those guys lmao. Thanks man! And thanks for watching!!!
6:36 - 6:53 🤣🤣🤣
GOOD ANIMALS
Solid stuff. I'd just scale back on the Plinkett/Dunkey/Egoraptor voice cribbing and work on refining a style for yourself.
I feel like that kind of comedy is just naturally where my thinking leads towards because I grew up on it. But I think as I keep making videos I’ll find that unique style like you said! Thanks for watching!!!
@@VoidReviews yeah, I'm sure you will. I appreciate you taking the feedback in the constructive manner it was intended. Keep making videos man. You're doing good work so far.
Joel has forever tainted the ending screen of Mario World to me.
...was that a Brett Keane joke in the intro? Three is for the Manatee.
Classic
Do u have one on ff7?
I’ve actually never played FF7 sadly but I loved FF4, FF6, and Chrono Trigger so I’d probably really enjoy it! A big video on my first impressions could be really fun!!!
@@VoidReviews omg. Ff7 was the shit espcecially back in the late 90s. A lot of ppl say its the vest rpg ever
Sounds like 4-8 trying to be egoraptor
Today I wasn’t feeling 100% but it was still a pretty good day. I had chicken tenders and ichiban and like 4 cups o tea gonna play some ff6 on me retroid pocket 2. He’s pretty good at making videos but I think video games on TH-cam, especially such main line games are very overdone. 9/11
No one shuts up about SMW because it's in the Top 5 Mario games of all time.
Ironically most of your criticisms of World are why I don't like Mario 3.
Suck video, meant sick video
Algorithm comment
I hate this game
I hate u
@@trollking9400 I do not hate you🥵😳
i didnt like it that much lolz
why you have to scream and yell so much dude? some people use speakers. quited half way through.
Super Mario World is overrated AF.
If not for Yoshi, there'd be no redeeming quality.
This is pretty cringe. An annoying ripoff of multiple other TH-cam hits (specifically ego raptor) , but with none of the subtlety, charm, or unique voice of any of them, and amplified by to way too much try-hard. Be your own person.
