Mark, Kick ass video! The best for the wiring "how to". To add, I robbed toyota connectors from the salvage yard and removed the sockets with a 6" portion of wire then spliced with 22ga. wire and installed into the connectors on my truck. Worked great. T taps not necessary at the connectors at the kicks.
Forget the T-Taps, they are junk. Save yourself some time and use the same molex connectors on both ends. Freeze frame the video, and get the UPC code, order from radio shack. Solder them, crimp, slide in with an eyeglass screwdriver until they bottom out. Use the Light tan wire on the drivers side, light blue on the pass side. Great mod, thanks for the video. Well done.
Making the video of actual process it take several Hours, this instruction is for someone with little bit acknowledge about wiring and this process it should be very intuitive after watching the video, I just point out couple fact about Toyota wiring that I figure out through voltmeter measurement and some schematic through google search to make life easier for others and show the actual working mod.
Hi Mark. My blue plug on the passenger side only had 3 wires on the back of the plug and not 5. The colors are green, grey, and blue. Which wires should I tap into?
AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! Do you know if this will work on my 2016 Tundra I have added tow mirrors WITH power fold but I don't have the factory connections. Also, in your video you tell the viewers what parts we need, do you have the information explaining where we can buy those parts from?
Most likely will works but before start buying the parts pop off the mirror switch and see if all manufacturing wiring is there or not.what am I mean with that, look and see you should have more wire goes to the mirror switch than you have connector for them on switch side.
my kick panel connectors do not have the same color wires on the connectors as yours, in other words there is no blue or tan on the 3rd from the bottom on the drivers side, or yellow and blue wire on the bottom blue connector for the pass. kick panel.. could you tell me the pin # on the male sides (where you have your t-locks) my truck is a 2012 sr5. i cant remember what colors i have so the pin #s would be better
My suggestion is you use voltmeter and check the male side of the connector to find the correct wires,"those wires that do not have female counterpart" that is the way that I done it, I am surprise to see Toyota change the wire color, I can not open my kick board to get the wire position on connector anytime soon. The 12 volt supply on those 2 wires switch polarity when your ACC switch is ON and you pushing mirror switch in and out. Also looking at video clip can give you some general area of two wires as well (frame by frame).
Jevon Tillman I have the same issue - only 3 wires in front and back on first blue connector from bottom on passenger side. Did you ever find a solution to this?
I am not sure, you probable have a heater on you side mirrors also you can control the mirror direction via mirror switch? then you can open the small triangle cap inside the door behind the mirror to see if is the mirror connector is there and how many wires are already is in that connector, also you can open the kick boards on both side to see if you can see the connector that I explained in video for other wiring before ordering the new mirrors.
Do you have information, maybe part numbers, and/or description of the items you had to purchase. I am really interested in the connectors that are added to the end of the wire
So the wiring harness that is installed in the Tundra mirrors has to have the pumper in order to change from manual mirrors to motorized? That is just odd.
For the power fold does it matter what wire goes to which pin or is it just completing a circuit when the fold switch is depressed? Thank you for the detailed video.
Just replacing the switch for power folding will conclude the wiring for switch, But for mirror connection you have to run multiple wires as I explained in video and placing the wire in correct position within mirror connector is very important otherwise will not work.
+Mark “Mark1Jordon1” Kash yes thank you. Is there a particular pin that the tan wire must go to as well as the blue (same for passenger side) i.e. Does the tan wire attach to pin #2 or #3 on the mirror?
I just added the power folding mirrors to my 08 tundra SR5 that didn't have auto fold, turn signal or clearance light, can you please tell me which wires to tap into or where to tap into for the clearance and the signal lights to work...thanks in advance.
I have SR5 2013 truck and was pre-wire for mirror turn signal, heater and running light already I just added the wiring for folding feature as I explained in youtube video, I think you should have those wiring as well, is any wire goes to the other side of the connector (not the mirror side) on the door?
I thought mine's would've been the same way but it's not... I called the dealership to see if they knew and they said they stopped making them prewired
That is a bit strange, can you take the small triangle cover from the door (behind the mirror screw) off and send me a picture of connector either side is fine.
I do not know I am not the Toyota authorize personal, but you can open your kick board and dash and check the wiring against this video before ordering the part, keep in mind it very costly for car and truck company to change the wiring! ( if I have to guess %90 it will work)
Mark, talking with my local Toyota dealer where I purchased my 2106 Toyota Tundra Ltd Crewmax, apparently the mirrors have changed slightly from pre-2014? Are you aware of what motorized mirrors to purchase for 2016 Tundras and whether the wiring & switches are the same as in this video? Thanks!
Do the blinker lights and running lights come pre-wired in the sr5 harness already? Or do you also need to run blinker wires and running lights?I just purchased a 2007 Sr5 that came with tow mirrors, however the lights on the side of the tow mirrors do not light up when using blinkers or running lights. Do I need to run wires??
Under driver dash is a small light bulb ( left hand side) when you open the door that light is coming ON, tap the paddle light from wiring of that light.
Both sides get connect to the under dash light on driver side (small light under dash is normally coming on when you open he driver door), maybe you need to watch the video clip again.
On 1st year mirrors did not shake at all, later on I notice that the driver side mirror head was lose I did open up via small lid in bottom of mirror and use some Loctite to fasten all screws back on.
Actually the whole propose of this video is to show to how to install the Auto folding mirror for Tundra truck that did not came with this feature as I mentioned in the clip you need to run addition wiring from kick boards in driver and passenger sides to mirrors terminals and change the mirror switch.
I am not a Toyota Dealer but most likely it does work, pop out the mirror controller and check the connection wiring, since folding wiring for it should be there you just need to change the switch as I explained in video
Mark Kash hi bro I look at the blue connectors from the bottom to the third one but for my 14 tundra SR5 I can’t find the third one because I see only two big blue connectors and other connectors which are white. I take pictures but don’t know how to let u see.

this tutorial is LEGIT! I would have loved to see the actual process, but never the less this was a great video...

Thank you! Will this work for a larger towing mirror you think?
Very detailed, please do more. Ty. Also looking to do "push Start", Remote Start, Rear Camera Install and OME touch screen install.
Wow! Very good video, you are the only video that I have seen that explains how to connect the puddle light.
Hi Mark. My blue plug on the passenger side only had 3 wires on the back of the plug and not 5. The colors are green, grey, and blue. Which wires should I tap into?
Great video! Can you share the information on the switch as well as the mirrors used. Great "how to" and look forward to doing this. Thank you
Hello Mark, nice video will be the same for a toyota corolla 2007?
AWESOME VIDEO!!!!! Do you know if this will work on my 2016 Tundra I have added tow mirrors WITH power fold but I don't have the factory connections. Also, in your video you tell the viewers what parts we need, do you have the information explaining where we can buy those parts from?

I have the same issue. I have a 2013 SR5 and my connector ( third blue from the bottom) only has 3 wires on either side.
Jevon Tillman I have the same issue - only 3 wires in front and back on first blue connector from bottom on passenger side. Did you ever find a solution to this?
Yea mine has 3wires on blue plug. Not 5wires out to tap 2wires for PFing. Help us please
Great video but where did you order your mirrors from and what's the model number? Thx
Can I add power mirrors to my 2008 tundra that has no power? Is it possible to wire if I bought power mirrors and a switch? Thanks in advance!

Anyone got recommendations for which wire to tap into for a 2019 tundra TRD pro?
Nice Vid Mark! Question, does the mirror fold when you arm the alarm?
No.
Mark kash. You should make this video step by step. Is a little bit confused, because you have already everything installed!
My 2011 sr5 didn’t have all the wires at the bottom connector at the kick panel.
So the wiring harness that is installed in the Tundra mirrors has to have the pumper in order to change from manual mirrors to motorized? That is just odd.
What is the part number for the connection pins that go into the wiring harness
What female connectors do I have to use to connect to the mirror again? I can’t find it
DUDE PLEASE HELP ME- WHERED U TAP IN FOR U GHOST SHADDOW PROJECTORS
where did you get the clear door courtesy light to replace the reflector? great job!!
Ebay, these have led light and projecting the Toyota logo on the ground visible at night.
Mark Kash link??
Hi good video. Do you how wire Toyota Sienna XLE 2017,is same way with you car or different.and where I can buy power folding mirrors Thank you
Thanks for the detailed video. Are those Kool Vue after market brand? I checked with the dealer and the OEM were $500 each.
Yes, ebay
Can you reference where you got the other parts (you mentioned eBay for the switch) and even part #s? Thank You - AMAZING job on video!
For the power fold does it matter what wire goes to which pin or is it just completing a circuit when the fold switch is depressed? Thank you for the detailed video.

@@Mark1Jordon1 how many wires did you have? I have a 2017 and I only have 7 wires on that plug that goes on the switch.
The socket have room for ten wires and 9 of them are populated.
I just added the power folding mirrors to my 08 tundra SR5 that didn't have auto fold, turn signal or clearance light, can you please tell me which wires to tap into or where to tap into for the clearance and the signal lights to work...thanks in advance.

Ok I'm at work right now when I get home I will do so
Mark Kash what's your email
Could you suggest a 2019 Sequoia SR5 solution?
Hello .. pretty nice stuff ... do you happen to know if this would work for 2019 Tundra Pro ..? I really would love to do this in my truck
I do not know I am not the Toyota authorize personal, but you can open your kick board and dash and check the wiring against this video before ordering the part, keep in mind it very costly for car and truck company to change the wiring! ( if I have to guess %90 it will work)
Mark Kash ... thanks
Nice write up man, would this work on a 2016 model? Since 14-16 models are virtually I dentical
Hey mark is your power folding mirrors you mod still working? Did u run into any electrical issues?
No issue at all, I did change the passenger side mirror once since I open and close the mirror too many times per day to get in and out of garage
?If i buy Harness For Sequoia Limited auto folding, Harness for SR5 Sequoia does it work
Mark, talking with my local Toyota dealer where I purchased my 2106 Toyota Tundra Ltd Crewmax, apparently the mirrors have changed slightly from pre-2014? Are you aware of what motorized mirrors to purchase for 2016 Tundras and whether the wiring & switches are the same as in this video? Thanks!

I’m not clear for the puddle light wires on the passenger side. Where are they connected to?
Under driver dash is a small light bulb ( left hand side) when you open the door that light is coming ON, tap the paddle light from wiring of that light.
Mark Kash so from the passenger side I can run the puddle light wire to the driver side to connect it (passenger side), am I right? Thanks
Yeap
So now u have turn signal in the mirrors too?
Who where do I hook the puddle lights to on that plug on driver side and Passenger side
Both sides get connect to the under dash light on driver side (small light under dash is normally coming on when you open he driver door), maybe you need to watch the video clip again.
Please can you fix my for me hyundai i30
Will this work on 08 tundra?
Hey mark do you have the part # for the switch
hey broo, Question : did u changed the mirror also? does mirror haveing inside motor for folding? or i can use same SR5 OEM mirror and run the wires?
You need to buy auto folding Mirror, Ebay or Toyota Dealer.
Worked perfectly
What is the wire gauge?
Should be in 20's AWG I not sure.
You sooo nailed this! Great video!
Does the mirror shake when you go down the highway??
On 1st year mirrors did not shake at all, later on I notice that the driver side mirror head was lose I did open up via small lid in bottom of mirror and use some Loctite to fasten all screws back on.
Mark Kash can you send me the links to all the materials that you used
I shown materials on youtube clip
Mark Kash where did you snake up the wire so that the puddle lamp work on the passenger side
Excellent video.
Hi Mark!
I have a Toyota Tundra SR5 2007, is it posible to connect these mirrors even though my truck does not have them originally folding?
Actually the whole propose of this video is to show to how to install the Auto folding mirror for Tundra truck that did not came with this feature as I mentioned in the clip you need to run addition wiring from kick boards in driver and passenger sides to mirrors terminals and change the mirror switch.
Afarin marke aziz
Thank you

Hi will my 2014 tundra SR5 with manual folding side mirror work with auto folding side mirror?
I am not a Toyota Dealer but most likely it does work, pop out the mirror controller and check the connection wiring, since folding wiring for it should be there you just need to change the switch as I explained in video
Mark Kash thanks 🙏 I will check and I just order the new switch from eBay. If so, I don’t need to buy a new pair of auto folding side mirror, right?
Of course you need to buy a pair auto folding mirror just part of the wiring is there.
Mark Kash oh ok thanks
Mark Kash hi bro I look at the blue connectors from the bottom to the third one but for my 14 tundra SR5 I can’t find the third one because I see only two big blue connectors and other connectors which are white. I take pictures but don’t know how to let u see.
