People can say what they want good or bad about this game. I loved it, I loved this world. I loved going to it and getting away from the real world.
It is a great escape.
Then you understand the game. People who try to play it like a regular action game are the ones who are missing the magic. Like Todd Howard has said since Morrowind, "Our main Character in our game is our World"
Yeah, the real world sucks ass. Especially in today’s day and age.
I find that the only people who speak ill of Skyrim are people who never actually played it, or played very little and decided they didn't like it before they gave it a fair shot.
I hope Starfield makes you feel the same way, again. You see amongst the stars, Space Cowboy.
About 40% of my time in Skyrim is spent on looking for spots where I can safely stare at the landscapes and/or listen to the rain. Quests? We don't need no stinkin' quests!
My quest is finding those good rain spots.
Call Storm is my favourite thing in Skyrim. I'll use it even when enemies aren't around.

+Mark Reilly I remember cutting out at least twenty such attacks. For whatever reason you can't turn off dragons combat AI through the console.

Why not use mods?
The best way to avoid dragon attacks while making these would to roll up a character that has not done Dragon Rising, better yet... use Alternate Start and skip/avoid Helgen all together.

Mark Lampert is the real deal. While everyone else gets better at graphics and programming, he keeps elevating these worlds with his masterful sound design.
And yes it's better than the rest of the rain videos, but I think that is because it was part of a game world. Because of that, so much more thought and design (not just money) goes into these pieces. Games are a wonderful thing

you can loop this video if you have that setting. left click and select loop for a computer and go to the video settings and click loop video on mobile :)
WHY IS IT GONE
I haven't tested this on other mobile devices, but if you hold your finger on the video while it is playing and it should come with some settings for the video which includes loop.

I feel for that one guard at 38:30 who is the ONLY GUARD being forced to walk around as night watchman DURING A RAIN STORM! Must've pissed off the local Captain real bad.
What happened to the 10 hour version of this. I can no longer find it.
Every instance of this in my history is replaced with this 1 hour clip which is useless. Even selecting Loop doesn't work

Don’t want to impose, but can you do longer (say 6-10hrs) versions of this and some of the others, like the night rain, rain+music of skyrim, etc? I and I’m sure many others would be so deeply grateful! :). This really has been a huge help to my sleep disorders, but often it ends before I can actually sleep, then getting up to make it repeat makes a loud jarring commercial and welp there goes all the built up mellow.
It would mean ever so much to me, and I’m sure many others. So if able, please do!
And let me/us know if you require help to do so: I’d be happy to aid you in doing a kindness for us.

First time playing skrim Christmas day 2011 eating a honeycomb Terry's chocolate orange. How that is 8 or 9 years ago now I have absolutely no idea at all lol. But so good I remember vividly. Most iconic weapon being the steel or sky forge steel sword. Weird how such euphoria do young then feels like time stands still lol. Like having a fisherman's friend and the breath when you inhale like you gain vitality or something lol

You should continue with Skyrim Ambiences! You could also include other beteshda games such as Fallout and Oblivion.

I remember that rainy day. I was quite a remarkable quest! After gathering all that gold we stay at this point, just chilling and listening to the sound of the rain while drinking a cup of tea.

My thoughts were still bouncing back and fourth, a dragon? here? In skyrim? It was raining by the time ralof introduced me to the guardian stones, he then took off down the road to riverwood. When I was a boy, I used to loathe rain, it would constantly stop me from being outside, but now it feels enlighting, almost welcoming me into this new world I find myself in. I thought I'd just stay awhile, I needed to clear my head.
