Yes Delain is back in my top favourite bands. A few weeks ago they were magnificent live on stage it felt like the "old" Delain, i was blown away!! And Diana is so freaking talented, love her voice and stage presence. Thank u for the great reaction sweet friend! 🖤🤘🏻

hey i just came across your channel. I couldn't agree more with you, Delain's new single is just fantastic. Just like you, I got into the metal scene through symphonic metal and symphonic metal is still my favorite genre. I was particularly enthusiastic about Nightwish, and Nightwish is still my favorite band. And of course Epica, through which I also found my passion for growling and got further into Melodic Death Metal. For me, symphonic metal is mainly led by Nightwish, Epica and Within Temptation. But I've been looking for a long time for another symphonic metal band that I like as well. Of course, I've known Delain for a long time, and I liked some of the songs, but I always missed something, that magical thing that gives bands like Nightwish or Epica their very own character. I don't know how to describe it better. When Delain then suddenly reported back this year with "The Quest And The Curse", I was very positively surprised. I like the new lineup and Diana has such a great voice. And when the latest single "Beneath" was released a few days ago, I was, or actually still am, completely blown away by this beautiful and strong song. The refrain is just so beautiful. That's exactly what I imagine Symphonic Metal to be. If the album announced for February 2023 can do exactly that, then Delain is in my personal top 3 metal bands. My expectations may be high, but I'm sure it's going to be damn good. And I think Delain could get even more notoriety with that, also because they will be at the Wacken Festival next year. Its Just great🤘🏻🤘🏻

Yeah, I listened to this one right away this morning.
I love The Quest and the Curse, it did a great job of showing that the new Delain can write and play songs just like their old ones. Now I think this song has come out to show what else they can and will do in the future. Frozen Crown did something similar after they had to replace 3 band members at once.
I am really enjoying the new lineup. Next time, don't wait for a new release - take a trip on the wayback machine and react to their very first single - "Frozen" - from 2007 with Charlotte's debut. Tauri should you encounter -Sirenia- you must give a listen to its repertoire very similar to -Delain- but they debut a decade or so before.
Just wanted to pop in here...I just reacted on my TH-cam channel (ROCK ON DUDEZ) and I showed the poster and lanyard SIGNED by them (saw them once with Sonata Arctica, and another time with Kamelot! Hearing rumors of NYC dates maybe in September...will make sure I damned well better be there! Loving your reactions, too!

I didn't really connect with the last single. How do you replace Charlotte? You don't. You find someone who can bring something new, with the same amount of talent. The last single didn't do that for me, but here Diana's vocals just feel right, and yes her own style👍 Great reaction!

Dude, i've seen them begin of the month in Zwolle, the Netherlands and i have to say honestly, I was blown away by Delain and Diana. Her voice is beautiful and she sings with so much passion and feeling. I was impressed. So i don't agree with u, with all the respect i have for Charlotte and love her voice too so much.

Girl…I’m loving the mermaid, ocean vibes but I also love the combination of both symphony and heavy metal all in one!!!
Overall, a much more listenable track that "The Quest And The Curse" - Delain is effectively a new band, and the writing is specifically for Diana's voice. Nightwish went through 3 vocalists, and each had amazing talent (I personally like the Annette albums the best), and comparisons are inevitable. Give me more - I like what I'm hearing.
