The bass player for neo is it. It's like the head of the battering ram. Ive always believed that bass guitar is underrated and under used in most band. Neo seems to be one of the few that gets it. You should listen to "Devour me Collosus part 2". The bass in that song is stellar.

I listen to a lot of metal, but very little Death metal (Extreme metal) or Progressive metal. I connect entirely on how a song or band makes me feel. I can say with all honesty that this song is "perfect". Take two genres I don't usually vibe with and somehow still make a song so epic and so perfect that I can't not feel something everytime I listen. I'm not ashamed to admit as a grow man that I have shed many tears listening to this masterpiece. I've been listening to metal for over 40 years and I would put this song in my top 10 in a heartbeat. The rawness and rage of the Death metal vocals, the melancholy beauty of the violins, the pure beauty of the clean vocals. Every aspect of the guitars fits perfectly in the song from the rhythm to the amazing solo. The bass fits in with the guitar and drums perfectly and is masterfully played. The drums are the first thing that grabbed my attention in the song and accompany the other instruments and vocals flawlessly. The musicianship is incredible and every instrument and vocal part is interwoven to make this song a masterpiece.
This single most definitely has soul to it. You can feel and hear the emotions in Tim’s voice. This song feel so personal and meaningful. Definitely brought tears to my eyes. What a masterpiece.
Forget Not was the first NeO song I ever heard. It became my most favourite song of all time because of how it got all emotions out of me over the song. I never thought any song could come close to that in terms bringing out those emotions... but these bastards did it again. The last half of this song makes me want to burst into tears, in a good way. The emotions I feel... I honestly can't describe them. It is as though something inside me explodes with light and I bathe in its glory. The light is so bright that I am blinded by it and yet... I see everything. I could have been born (or not at all) at any given moment in history but the fact that I was born in a time coinciding with NeO makes me feel like I am the luckiest person alive.
Tim and Xen both, both awesome vocalists in different ways, and their dynamic together is really interesting. They complement and contrast eachother very nicely.

I was concerned that they may have broken up due to Covid and life situations but seeing a new track that is as good as this one touches me and I’m actually super fucking hyped to see them continue. There’s just too much talent here to see it fade away.
Since my mother's death, I've struggled to cry or feel anything. Her death broke me as a person; shamefully, it hardened me. And when I listened to this song towards the end, my eyes started to tear up. It's the closest I've got to crying in almost ten years. I was blown away by this song. I found myself getting lost in this. I can't tell you how shocked I was this song made me feel like this. I experienced a wave of emotions, goosebumps, I could feel the pain and sorrow, the emotion. This is a work of art.

I love how the harsh vocal is so unrepentantly dark and evil amidst all the beauty of everything else, with the clean vocal being super sweet and sincere. Max contrast. And as a drummer I think I can say with some certainty that the drummer of this band is bloody wild and a true innovator, pushing his own boundaries as well as those of the genre itself. I admire him a lot, and the whole band too, they are all at the top of their game and the definition of world class musicians/singers.
I am unbelievably pissed that TH-cam had the gall to interrupt this work of art with an abrupt ad. That aside, listening to this was an absolute joy. A gorgeous and captivating song, from the very start to the very last second. The only complaint I have is that I wish the heavier portions of the instrumental were just slightly louder/punchier, everything else, every single other aspect, basically perfect. Got straight up chills during the ending. Fucking awesome. Best part of the song for sure, and finishing strong is always a good way to elevate a song to another level, and provide a really complete experience. Started strong, finished ten times stronger. Nailed that execution. Y'all are off to a fantastic start if this song is any indication of what else we're in store for on Exul, or even if it's different but of the same quality. Paying attention to all the different faces in this video and all the names and roles in the credits, it really is a statement on the ambition on display here. Few to no other bands are doing things at this level in terms of collaborative reach and orchestral grandeur that I can see, in terms of modern band formats and Metal. Awesome to see.

I remember since I was a child, my dream was to live in Australia. I don't know why but I craved it, every movie, music, newspaper article, anything about Australia got me excited. Maybe subconsciously I belong to Australia and I am a part of it. Maybe one day my dream will come true and I will be able to live there for a while. I was happy to see them live on tour with ihsahn in 2018 in Poland, great performance. Great video, you can hear the progress of both singers, Tim's vibrato is getting better and better, great neoclassical guitar solo, the whole song is a masterpiece and of course, the song itself is about very important thing. I'm glad that such a great band sang about it.
Whats so beautiful with Neo is how they compose and structure their music. Every instrument, every note blends, introduce and support each other so perfectly. And then there is that bass guitar in the back. Like a canvas on which all other music is painted.
I think I just set a personal record for the longest I've held my breath... This was pure brutal art. The vocals, bass, drums, guitars, visual imagery EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTION! Tim's vocals brought me to a state of levitation, only to be catapulted to another dimension with Xen's vocals. Unbelievable. Excellent job guys, now get over to North America asap!!

I was concerned that they may have broken up due to Covid and life situations but seeing a new track that is as good as this one touches me and I’m actually super fucking hyped to see them continue. There’s just too much talent here to see it fade away.
Covid-19 just delayed the recording by 2 years, that's all. Started in January 2020 and was finished in summer 2022.

Since my mother's death, I've struggled to cry or feel anything. Her death broke me as a person; shamefully, it hardened me. And when I listened to this song towards the end, my eyes started to tear up. It's the closest I've got to crying in almost ten years. I was blown away by this song. I found myself getting lost in this. I can't tell you how shocked I was this song made me feel like this. I experienced a wave of emotions, goosebumps, I could feel the pain and sorrow, the emotion. This is a work of art.

This song came out a month ago and I still can't stop listening to it.
I love how the harsh vocal is so unrepentantly dark and evil amidst all the beauty of everything else, with the clean vocal being super sweet and sincere. Max contrast. And as a drummer I think I can say with some certainty that the drummer of this band is bloody wild and a true innovator, pushing his own boundaries as well as those of the genre itself. I admire him a lot, and the whole band too, they are all at the top of their game and the definition of world class musicians/singers.
I am unbelievably pissed that TH-cam had the gall to interrupt this work of art with an abrupt ad. That aside, listening to this was an absolute joy. A gorgeous and captivating song, from the very start to the very last second. The only complaint I have is that I wish the heavier portions of the instrumental were just slightly louder/punchier, everything else, every single other aspect, basically perfect. Got straight up chills during the ending. Fucking awesome. Best part of the song for sure, and finishing strong is always a good way to elevate a song to another level, and provide a really complete experience. Started strong, finished ten times stronger. Nailed that execution. Y'all are off to a fantastic start if this song is any indication of what else we're in store for on Exul, or even if it's different but of the same quality. Paying attention to all the different faces in this video and all the names and roles in the credits, it really is a statement on the ambition on display here. Few to no other bands are doing things at this level in terms of collaborative reach and orchestral grandeur that I can see, in terms of modern band formats and Metal. Awesome to see.

Great video, you can hear the progress of both singers, Tim's vibrato is getting better and better, great neoclassical guitar solo, the whole song is a masterpiece and of course, the song itself is about very important thing. I'm glad that such a great band sang about it.

I think I just set a personal record for the longest I've held my breath... This was pure brutal art. The vocals, bass, drums, guitars, visual imagery EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTION! Tim's vocals brought me to a state of levitation, only to be catapulted to another dimension with Xen's vocals. Unbelievable. Excellent job guys, now get over to North America asap!!
