I feel you, man. I try to be positive about things, and get through this thing called life. I’m 19, in college trying to figure out things. Where I’m going. What I’m gonna do for the rest of my life. Or at least the next 10, 20 yrs. I used to be very optimistic and hopeful when I was younger. About 2 years ago after dealing with mental and emotional things constantly it just became clear to me that this world that we currently reside is just a game. It doesn’t even matter. We all die anyway, so why even try? Why even attempt at being “the best” when we eventually become dust. I just attempt at keeping things in “perspective” and know that this is the only guaranteed physical life I have, so hey, I’ll just go through it and experience things and do what I love. That’s it.

I just don’t have nothing to do, I stay in my room all day because if I get out there’s literally nothing to do on the house. Almost as i was alone. I try to do something interesting on my room besides looking at my phone but then i realize I already tried it, and it’s not like i will never get happiness ever again from idk drawing, having fun with action figures, ordering my room, but it just burns you out. And then i come again to my phone, it’s not like i have a phone addiction it’s just that there’s NOTHING to do. Every day I make a call with my friend from 12am to 1:00pm, and 8:00pm to 11:00pm but in the middle of those hours I have nothing to do. I was just thinking the exact same thing when I watched another video. But the video I watched was really about space and what will happen in the universe over time. The scales of time were so vast, they expressed the years with multiple exponentials of numbers. I feel you, man. I try to be positive about things, and get through this thing called life. I’m 19, in college trying to figure out things. Where I’m going. What I’m gonna do for the rest of my life. Or at least the next 10, 20 yrs. I used to be very optimistic and hopeful when I was younger. About 2 years ago after dealing with mental and emotional things constantly it just became clear to me that this world that we currently reside is just a game. It doesn’t even matter. We all die anyway, so why even try? Why even attempt at being “the best” when we eventually become dust. I just attempt at keeping things in “perspective” and know that this is the only guaranteed physical life I have, so hey, I’ll just go through it and experience things and do what I love. That’s it.
I feel exactly the same. Exactly! Thank you. Sometimes when I ride my scooter I want to bang into car or bus, when I see a fan I think of hanging myself up, not do anything and starve myself to death . But even if I die there is no guarantee I won't be reborn and repeat the same in my next life. I just can't bear this anymore.

When I am watching fiction, I really DISCONNECT with the real world, there, everything seem to function properly, to follow almost exact rules, to a point where seeing some guy dressed like a bat punching down criminals or some kids training colorful monsters to battle each other monsters seems more real then life itself.
Because real life? Is boring, it's eugenic, it's unfair, cruel, delusional, and it SUCKS. So I resort to fiction where things do make sense and seem to have some meaning.
Love, happiness, dreams, meritocracy, faith, tons of idealism, religion, it's all BS, all forms of propaganda, to gain power, money, control, to sell those bloody lies to people which only is going to make them more and more miserable.
Unfortunately there is no hope, only seek on distractions everybody, distract yourselves until you reach the embrace of mother death in the end.

I just don’t have nothing to do, I stay in my room all day because if I get out there’s literally nothing to do on the house. Almost as i was alone. I try to do something interesting on my room besides looking at my phone but then i realize I already tried it, and it’s not like i will never get happiness ever again from idk drawing, having fun with action figures, ordering my room, but it just burns you out. And then i come again to my phone, it’s not like i have a phone addiction it’s just that there’s NOTHING to do. And I hate being on my phone because I feel like I’ve done nothing in time goes so freakin fast. Every day I make a call with my friend from 12am to 1:00pm, and 8:00pm to 11:00pm but in the middle of those hours I have nothing to do. If you don’t understand how this feels it’s like being the funny guy when you come back to your home from school, or having a meetup with your friends and post time of when they leave. Tips??

I'm 70 yo. I never thought I'd last this long. I have always viewed this life as collective slavery. I took up art and became a skilled printmaker (old school etching/engraving). Eventually that bored me so I began oil painting. These activities, and reading, have gotten me through the suicidal periods in my life. I found writers, like EM Cioran (check him out) a strange kind of comfort because he, like you, saw no hope and didn't adopt any of the available illusions to distract himself. I recommend a book of aphorisms called: The Trouble with Being Born. At my age I am glad to hear that it wasn't just ME, that there was something wrong with how I perceived life.

What truly blew my mind was when I found out that time will always pass (can't be stopped). Now I know this sounds stupid, but there is a deeper realization to it. It means if you think about some random number of years, let's say 10 million, it seems like a really distant thing, like it will never happen, but then it hits you - it WILL happen, as a matter of fact it will happen no matter what. It means there will be thousands upon thousands of generations who lived and died in the meantime, all forgotten and turned into dust. AND it never stops! Why? Because you can't stop time! It just keeps going, million, ten millions, billion, trillion, quintillion, whatever number you think of - that time WILL elapse 100% guaranteed, no way of stopping it, and it will turn everything into dust, whatever gets invented, built, discovered, doesn't matter, time will turn it back into dust negating every effort that was invested by whoever/whatever made it

I was just thinking the exact same thing when I watched another video. But the video I watched was really about space and what will happen in the universe over time. The scales of time were so vast, they expressed the years with multiple exponentials of numbers. Of course we all know time will never stop but it's truly mind blowing to think that no matter how large a number is, in terms of years in the future, the time will eventually come.

You know man I’ve gone through this, and I know people tell you “oh don’t think about that, oh it gets better” but they don’t understand but I’ve been trought, and you know what got me out of there? Friends. But it’s hard too, sometimes friends aren’t enough, you can even have a great time with them but obviously, they won’t be there 24/7, and there’s you again, alone with your thoughts and doing nothing, and my recommendation it’s not about distracting yourself from that, is about the root, the problem itself. I don’t know if have thought about lifting, but man it does wonders.
