You keep assuming that all the wives were there, but with the way the family is, I doubt that it was the other wives he was acting that way with. It was probably Robin's daughters. He is controlling her and her kids which we already know stay home, so since they don't really leave, It makes sense it would have been the girls not the wives. He is possessive over Robin and her naive daughters.

To tell the truth from the beginning. If you guys remember right. Christine withdraw fits behind Cody and it didn't matter what woman it was. Kody was just not spending enough time with her. I remembered when they went camping or in the camper. She just blewbut that's how she was with him. Because just like Robin Christine only want it Kody.
In the earlier years Meri would blame Christine for things she did and said because she didn't want " Kody to be made at her" Christine stuck with "sister wife code" and always had Meris back. Christine took care of all the children like they were her own and had to make deals with Kody for more grocery money. It takes 2,in this case 5, and the actions of all of these adults is what ended their "marriages"

I agree with what most of you are saying... but let me ask this. Don't you think it was Robin that told Kody to stop being intimate with the other wives? Especially with Christine. Bc she was especially intimidated by her? Robin used her sex to control him. If he wasn't intimate with the others, by her suggestion, he needed to serve her needs first.
During the knife in the kidneys fight, the body language of all three women speaks volumes, especially Janelle and Christine. They acted like an abuse victim. They withdrew, got quiet, averted their eyes. Instead to calling out his bullshit, defending themselves against his aggression, they just shut down. A major indicator of continued abuse. Robyn was the only one halfway attempting to interact and eventually even she shut down. She best buckle her seatbelt ‘cause her party us gonna come to an end. She is his only target now and she doesn’t have anyone to pit him against to protect her.

I believe she was bullied into the whole situation. Narcissistic abusers will destroy someone in order to win in a divorce. Meri would know that Kody could ruin her. If he controlled the money, he was probably also pretty wily about how he could hide it. FamilyCourts are bamboozled all the time by bullies and abusers, and then make decisions that favor abusers . . . including giving them the kids. So, I think it was just not a fight she could fight. On the show, she appeared still pretty raw from the catfishing, too.

I think Robyn was extremely jealous of Christine, which is why she’s tried to change history since Christine left about how awful Christine was. I think Robyn has had a lot of control over Kody - mainly because of his lust for her. She felt Christine was her biggest rival - Robyn knew Meri was already out of the family, and Janelle is very independent - but Christine really wanted a romantic love. I think Christine has Robyn to blame for the last 13 years of terrible marriage.

Me too! I've been team Meri, since season 1 episode 1. I've also always thought she was the prettiest out of all of them. She was tortured and done wrong by all 3 of the girlfriends and Kody did her the dirtiest.

To be fair to Meri… regarding her naivety with social media, I worked over 20 years in IT. I am very aware of scams, security issues, etc. And I have been catfished online. It can happen to anyone. It’s because we are all too trusting. Lesson learned. Trust no one.

Add to that how Meri was feeling and being treated it’s the perfect storm. She desperately needed someone in her corner. I also don’t think she was seeking another… I think it developed into something more emotional than she intended, but I can see how that could easily happen. Especially if Robyn was feeding information about Meri to people who gave the info to the catfish.
So true. Those kinds of people can spot someone that's vulnerable a mile away. I consider myself savvy but when someone tried to pull that on me, I was very thankful of my nosy nature and instinct that something wasn't right. It was only a couple weeks talking to that "person" and nothing was exchanged other than emails but yeah, I completely understood how that happened to her and also why she did that in the first place.

what became so clear to me during the tell all was how Kody isolates Robyn from the rest of the family by telling her they hate her, the part where Suki asked who told you that and Robyn said ‘a person’ and then there was NO FOLLOW UP

Exactly. I live near St George, Utah and have had numerous contact with both types of polygamists, in fact, as a nurse, there are many polygamist nurses who work in the area I live. My husband works with many polygamists in his construction job and they are very open people.

Now we know exactly why he reacted the way he did when Meri asked Kodi how he would feel if he had to share her with another man. I'm not surprised. We've seen some of his antics with a film crew there. I hate to think how he speaks to them when they're alone. It also explains where his obsession with "loyalty" comes from and why he lost his mind when Christine left (a woman he claims he wasn't attracted too). He was pissed, not because he loved her, but because 'his' property had the audacity to leave.
I agree, I think that Kody and Robin thought that because Meri hung in, that Christine and Janelle would never leave either. I am so glad they all have, but they will take a long time to recover.
There's been more than a few times I've wondered what level of control Kody has had over Robyn. While I don't think she's innocent he kept her separate and creative narratives he wanted her to believe. Seems he's got her isolated.

IDK. I think it's the opposite. Kody is the one who's been obsessed with his "diesel jeans model". Robyn has always known how smitten he is and I think used that, combined with staying locked in the bedroom together all day early on, to be able to manipulate him to do and say anything she wanted... On top of manipulating everyone else. He's a mean, cruel, arrogant ass, but I think a lot of what he's said and done comes from parroting Robyn and being led by her manipulations.
I believe Kody & Robyn are both codependent on one another. Boundaries have always been a rarity in the entire Brown family, & w/ Kody & Robyn, neither of them knows where they end & the other one begins. They feed off of one another & it’s getting harder & harder to tell who controls who more. While Kody is much more overt in his psychological abuse of everyone, Robyn operates in a more covert way, choosing to perpetually play the victim that somehow Kody keeps rescuing.
It’s all really so twisted & is why I stopped watching the show 2 yrs ago.
I believe that Cody may be abusive to Robyn. I believe they’re probably abusive to each other in different ways. However, I believe that Robyn doesn’t mind the trade-off because she can still satisfy her spending addiction. Robyn is gonna stay there until every penny is gone.

Kody and Robyn spotted in Scottsdale over the weekend celebrating their anniversary at one of the most expensive restaurants in the state and looking pretty happy with each other, accompanied by Dayton and a friend. Men who are that possessive of their wives are usually physically abusive, too. We have seen verbal and emotional abuse on the show, but not physical. But, now I believe it is there. When Kody did his "knife in the kidneys" verbally abusive scene on the show, I noticed that the wives all just froze. No one tried to reason with him. Robyn began to cry, but the others just sat there staring ahead. That is what abused wives do to try to keep the situation from escalating and the man becoming even more abusive to them. Your new report lets me know that these women knew to stay quiet or more abuse from Kody was coming their way. Yes, TLC has made it out to seem like the women had more freedom to be independent, but they obviously did not. Kody IS acting like an abusive pimp!
