    In this video, we continue our RV snowbirding journey westward across Arizona and into California. We are in the late innings of the trip and need to get back towards the coast and head north soon.
    I show using Google Maps our route from Pie Town, New Mexico to Mojave CA
    I included stopover location video footage from Twin Arrows Casino near Flagstaff, Laughlin's Riverside Casino Resort and the parking lot of Peggy Sue's 50s Diner east of Barstow.

    Fairly certain we passed you just outside Flagstaff. Your new truck and trailer combo and setup are unique enough to be fairly certain anyway. Fellow Canadians passing in the desert. Safe travels.

    We spend our time in Needles...proximity really works for three states. The road from Searchlight to Nipton with the Joshua tree forest... IS the largest in the world. that solar system on I 15 is truly amazing. will be heading back north to Pender Island late April....Been down to Yuma recently and over to Los Algadones, Mexico...safe driving, and keep up the work.

    Sure looks like you gave the new diesel truck a good testing, like a kid in a candy store using that exhaust brake. Thanks again for using the map to explain you’re route. 👊👍😎

    Terrific video Ray! I always enjoy how you show the satellite view of your route. We are pretty new to RVing and route planning seems to be the thing we are struggling with most. My preference is to avoid big cities even if I have to go miles farther but then you have to worry about finding gas stations that will accommodate the rig and campgrounds along the way. I guess that's just part of the learning curve we have to work through. Keep up the great videos, we enjoy them all! Safe travels to you too!

    After 4 months at an RV park in Tacna, AZ I left Monday & dry camped that night at Cabela's in Glendale, AZ. I was at Costco Tuesday when the doors opened & immediately headed North after picking up a prescription. I stayed in Barstow Tuesday night (incredibly windy!) & am spending two nights at an RV park in Tulare, CA. I'll head to Sacramento tomorrow to spend the weekend with my son & his family but the forecast is for rain all weekend. I'm working my way back home to McMinnville, OR and was hoping to avoid the rain but no such luck. Any forecast I look at shows rain for the next few weeks.
    I'm still jealous of your new truck but happy for you.
    Safe travels.

    Nice recap. The grade out of Primm NV is no joke. Have to make sure to keep an eye on the temperature gauge if hauling heavy! The Ivanpah facility is a joke. It takes huge amounts of grid energy to run overnight. And kills hundreds and hundreds of birds that happen to fly between the mirrors and the towers. I still don't understand why regular solar panels weren't used instead. Would've been way less intrusive to the area as well.

    Ray we have been following you for a few years now and we really enjoy your travel adventures. So I have a question that I was hopping to see if you can answer or make a recommendation. I really want to purchase a Drone but I am not sure which one to purchase. I am a Android user if that helps. Thanks in advance for any comments. I have purchased many of the items your have reviewed and recommended. Mark

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Mark! I have to admit I know little to nothing about drones. But in my mind, I'd want to buy one of the better-known brands so that the parts and accessories are readily available. I think two big things I'd want are long battery life and the lowest noise possible. Nothing worse than a loud annoying drone flying around. It's one reason I've never bought one, that and I have other things I wanted more. :) Cheers, Ray

      We usually stop in Hollister and driveway camp at a friends place and day trip to the coast. Find it so busy to tow and camp anywhere on 1 near San Fran. Last time I visited Big Sur in the spring, you could barely find a parking space to pull over into. :( Spring flowers were amazing, though. I guess there are just too many people living in the region now. Cheers, Ray

    If you were going Mojave why not just head to I40 to the south, and punch it! I40 from laughlin is only a few mile

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Google says the routes are 2 minutes difference in time and 5 miles but the CA roads from Laughlin to I40 are in terrible shape and curvy, I'd rather stay on NV highways as long as I could.

    • @Cptstokes
      @Cptstokes 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We head there from Paso Robles a few times a year, and grated, the River Road is rotten but getting better. I'll take 95 then hang a right to I40. Not too much traffic, fuel stops are ok and a "fun" drive on 58. Boron is such a garden spot but it does have a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Enjoy the journey.
