Barbara scared the living daylights out of me as a kid. Her acting choices were, in retrospect, pretty spot on, though. If you actually read the books, you realize that the White Witch is a larger than life character.
I was watching the remade "Power of the Daleks", and when Lesterson realized there were more than THREEEEEE Daleks, I _immediately_ thought of Soldeed.
Ah, Graham Crowden. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. A performance so large, it could easily be seen from space. He's superb in Waiting For God as well.
oh. my. Romana. This is magnificent. 😂(I was too young to realize just how much scenery they were chewing, although Who fandom has helped me see a lot of the stuff we grew up on in a new light.)
If you have dreams of conquest But you need technology When followers prove unfaithful Now what could the answer be Let Nimon open the door Let Nimon open the door Let Nimon open the door - to your world
I MUCH preferred Barbara Kellerman's White Witch to Tilda Swinton's. Kellerman's was much closer to how Jadis would have actually been. Amazing actress!
If you watch the animated version of Lion, witch and the wardrobe, Jadis’s voice tones are pretty much the same…she’s a very loud character with an awful temper, so I think Barbara just played her how she was supposed to be, even if it is over the top…it’s a very big villain role so you can take it as far as you like! 😉👍
Now, now, it's patently unfair to make fun of these people. It's obvious that they were just trying to be inclusive for the sake of any audience members who were blind and/or deaf.

This is my favourite video on TH-cam, no, the internet, no, it's just my favourite video.

I always wonder what it would have been like had he said "yes" to playing the Fourth Doctor. Alas...
Somewhere between Tom Ballard and the Sixth Doctor, I'd think :p
graham came close to being the 4th doctor
Imagine the lovechild from this pairing.
Its a wonder the BBC had any scenery left for their shows given how much these two chewed them.
Well they wouldn't able to now, as the BBC sold their scenery and props stores many years ago. Lol. Funny and true. Sadly.
Never forget. Graham Crowden was almost the Fourth Doctor
I've never seen Nimon but putting these two side by side was a genius idea. This has to be one of the most genius videos I've ever seen ! Thankyou
It's actually not called the Nimon but rather the Horns of Nimon and it's an episode of Doctor Who
What a power couple they would've made! ^_^
1:00 I have spoken with the Nimon! Snow Witch: WHAAAAAAAAAT?!
Nothing in the world can stop me now
That was another character in the fish people episode
2:18 - after walking into a house full of clutter!
I see Eastenders has improved.
Oh my word, I remember the BBC adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia. I used to have The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on VHS.
was that done as part of the BBC Sunday Classic Serial that Terry Dicks and Barry Letts Produced?
2 minutes and 54 seconds of head-ache inducing screaming. Love it.
This is magnificent. *_MAGNIFICENT._*
The Great Journey of Life? Narnia business!
How many Nimons have you seen today?

This is superb. Good job.
this put a big smile on my face again :)
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was cited as one of Doctor Who's inspirations.

1:24 Edmund?! What are you doing?!
So much ham...
If we ever got "A Second Adventure in Space and Time," only Jim Carrey could do Graham Crowden/Soldeed justice.
If in doubt, shout.
Barbara has it, imho
ah what if Brian Blessed was added into the mix who would win then?
I think Brian would just open his mouth and they'd both be hanging on to the furniture trying not be be blown away.

TH-cam suggestions did well today.
And the winner of the scene chewing contest goes to......
Classic BBC is the best BBC.
brilliant :-) No clear winner!

Crowden wins hands down!
